Michael Jordan (31 points) and Scottie Pippen (27 points) lead the Chicago Bulls to a Game 1 victory over Charles Barkley and the Phoenix Suns in Game 1 of the 1993 NBA Finals. - Sport
Best Duo EVER.
in their primes and full health, they had no weaknesses on court
scary
@M 😆
@M
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@user-gu4tv4hp6sWho cares this is a video about the NBA Finals between the Bulls & Suns not a soccer video I'm pretty sure you can comment on 1 of those videos where soccer fans care not here!!
Scottie my favorite player of all time
Scottie pippen one of the greatest finishers to play the game . Great dinasty
I was there. 7th row across from Bulls bench. Jordan, Pippen, way too much for my Suns that night. Jordan's drive at the end of the first half is so clear in memory, just like it was yesterday. GOAT for sure.
How hot was it outside down there?
@@brandonmorris9889 :54 he said it was 99°. That’s prob a tad cooler than average. We’re into the 100’s by June
I'm sure you proud of your suns now
@@fromtheraq3898 Shhhhhhh.... No need to celebrate just yet! :-)
nice seats brother. what did you do for a living and how old were you?
Pippen was a beast in this series.
Pippen in 93 was insanely nice
Pip in 1994, 95 and 96 was pretty much the most complete basketball player in the entire world. A true alpha dog mvp type of guy.
Pippen in 1991 was great!
One day when they finally dissect Scottie Pippen's career people going to find out how great he was.
Bruh!!! #facts!!!!
You were right!
The Last Dance opened a lot of eyes for Pippen.
Right but he didn't really peek until this year
@@dailyselfimprovementredpil4671Xavier McDaniel made him better in 92 ECF.
No doubt, I was there back then, I'm 48 and so I have seen the whole career. Haters are going to hate. 6 rings anyways.
This was Prime Michael Jordan right here
And that was probably prime Pippen. Scary with the both of them being on the same team.
@White Iverson Lol!!😂😂
If you wanted to learn about how to play on the wings, study Jordan and Pippen on both sides of the ball. Excellent movement and fundamentals. Obviously they were both superb athletes but their movement both with and without the ball was brilliant.
#FACTS!!!
💯 I witness it.
Scottie Pippen was unstoppable. He could play any position on the floor.
Pippen and Jordan together was a cheat code in the 90’s
Jordan did whatever he wanted out there
It's quite amazing that no other superstar could beat mj and his Bulls in the finals. Magic, Clyde, Barkley, Peyton, and Stocktan/Malone
And two of those players won the MVP.
Thomas,Dumars and Rodman did in 1990, obviously at game 7 with Pippen at just his 3rd season
@@davidebaso6994 I think they're referring to the Finals, not conference playoffs.
Meanwhile everybody beats Lebron in the Finals, Duncan, Kawhi, Dirk, Curry, Durant
Brandon Morris more than 2, magic won mvp his rookie season, Malone, snd Barkley
Pippen was SWEET.
Jordan averaged 41 in this series lol
Also 8.5RPG 6.5APG and 2.6SPG while shooting 55% From the field...Damn!!
+Ahmad2423 thank you wasn't just a scorer people try to ignore his all around game to try to elevate others
+Ahmad2423 in the 1991 finals Jordan average 11ast a game.
Glenn Mcgollie He Sure did also 33.6ppg and 7.7RPG...Their was no player like MJ period!
+Ahmad2423 I agree 100%
At 7:05, MJ gave you a preview of his game winning crossover/"finalshot" in 98 against Russell and the Utah Jazz.
Should've interviewed Pippen after this game. He dominated..
7:06 that basket is identical to the Last Shot in the 98 finals
The butt slap and everything, great call.
holy crap
Man I feel like after watching this highlights the score was 100-10 bulls
3:33 that finger roll by M.J. tho was so gorgeous and Pip showing the Suns that jumper
Those old suns uniforms were 🔥
That was an exhibition and a clinic of high octaine, flying, slamma-jamma, in-ur-face, dance-a-rama offense of a display by the greatest dual ever to play the game of basketball without a shadow of a doubt that being Scottie Pip and Mike jordan; OUTSTANDING.
2:44 These were two finesse teams going head-to-head. No real hard defense like NY. So Jordan ate them alive! NBA teams today are more like a watered down version of this Suns team. So Jordan would average well over 40-50 points today. Just like he did in this series.
0:39 Boy was Mike wrong. The goat averaged 41 points in this series.
Well he was partially right.. It was Paxson, not MJ who made the game winning shot.. And Grant blocked Kevin Johnson's shot at the buzzer after.
I was so mad at this game i swore after Barkley got traded from my Sixers to the Suns he was going to win a ring but MJ & Pippen had other ideas damn they were great!!
This was a great Finals! I grew up watching basketball in the 80's & 90's and basketball seemed tougher back then, unlike all the flopping and tick-tack fouls called today. The 90's Bulls would destroy alot of the "put-together" teams today like the Knicks, Heat, and Celtics.
Jordan struggled???? And pippen hit 2 game winners to save him? and his TEAM saved him??? How the fuh did this tape get out?
cole comadena 😂😂😂😂 your a fool
one little miscue my friend, this wasn't the only finals series that had a triple overtime. Suns vs Celtics played in 3 ot's because of gar heard's amazing shot. But i agree amazing series and this was hands down the greatest Suns team i ever saw. They had the league MVP Barkley, 2 extra perenial all stars KJ and Majerle, A former all star MVP and vet PF , Tom Chambers, 2 explosive young SF's in Ceballos and Dumas, and Frankie johnson and Danny ainge off the bench. . This team was stacked.
Ceballos was hurt and didn't play at all in The 1993 Finals. You wonder what would have happened if instead of Frank Johnson taking the shot in Game 6 to give Phoenix a possible six point lead in the last minute, if it was Ceballos, who led the entire NBA in fg % (over 55 %) in the 1992-1993 season. The guy actually had a better field goal percentage than Shaq .. Phoenix probably would have won game 6, up by four points with 45 seconds to go and a possession. Ceballos certainly held his own against Pippen in regular season, in March 1993 game holding Scottie to low fg% and Cedric scoring 27 points.
@@VMakNYC tough to say. So many variables
starting at at 7:06 is a preview of MJ's game 6 winner against the Jazz 5 years later
@riker23
yeah I miss those days. That Sun's team would have won so many championships if they were playing today' era.
no way that Lebron can play like this
Dan Marleje’s defense he wouldn’t ? 🤣🤣
07:06 seems like some 1998 finals move
At 7:10, that shot by Michael is almost the exact shot he takes in '98, just a little closer to the foul line.
Yo I was saying the exact same thing 3 Championships later same shot different victim!!
This was a great series. John Paxson game winning shot in game 6 crushed me as a kid
Barkley thinks this video is TURRIBLE and disliked it
Danny Ainge just can't get enough of the Bulls in the finals
Jordan and pippin were more dangerous on the road.
people please watch jordan on every play....neither kobe nor lebron can match him...people forget how good jordan really was
i remember this like it was yesterday
6:22 today they would call a flagrant on this
ad there would be a brawl by the players today.
pussification
Suns had one MVP player
Bulls had two
No answer for Scottie Pippen! Goodness!!
LMAO Kj led the Suns to the WCF twice before Barkley joined. Kj made numerous All-NBA teams, and finished top ten in MVP Voting multiple times before Pippen made either. The Bulls and Suns only had one MVP player, Jordan and Barkley.
@@blo2706 KJ was good but he and Barkley were not on the same level as Jordan and Pippen.
@@erikhopkins9488 Barkley not on Pippen's level? If you mean Barkley>Pippen than i agree.
Pippen leading the 3peat Bulls to the 2nd round is brought up as proof of his superstar status, so what would you call KJ for leading the Suns to back-2-back WCF?
in 93 Barkley won the MVP. The argument isn't whether he was a better player than Pippen. The argument is which suns player was the 2nd best player and was he better than Pippen. Again, KJ is that dude but not better than Pippen.
@@erikhopkins9488 KJ isn't better than Pippen all-time, but the topic is the 93 Finals.
Going into the 93 Finals, KJ was 4×All-NBA, 2×All-Star, Led the Suns to 50+ wins every yr from 89-92, two WCF in 89 & 90 as the number one option. KJ also avg over 20ppg and 10ast on 50% shooting for 3 straight yrs, that's Magic Johnson level. Speaking of Magic KJ Suns defeated the Lakers in the 90 Playoffs.
Pippen going into the 93 Finals was a 2×All-NBA, 3×All-Star. Pippen and KJ were drafted the same yr.
It looks like KJ was the better more accomplished player heading into the 93 Finals. KJ was slowed down by injuries.
8:15 you could hear this "UUHuuuOoooo" shout!!! damn, then it was what i call "MAN'S GAME!!!"
At 7:08 you can see Michael already practiced his signature last shot again Utah in '98. There was plenty of footage out there for Brian Russell to know it was coming.
I was thinking about the exact thing 😎
I peeped that too!!!
Jordan hit that move numerous times before the "shot"
MJ Just is not human no one compare whit him...so beauty his game so amazing...
Weird series. The road team won all but one game this series. It didn't hurt that MJ averaged 41 points a game in this series.
the 1993 suns and 1996 sonics played the bulls EQUALLY as REALLY well
Had it not been for Paxson's winning three and it went the other way, In this case the Suns, then this would have been the first sports championship for Phoenix. If the Suns had also won game 7. Of course it would have been two when the DBacks won the World Series 8 years later.
Scottie was a beast
After 28 years 😊
My favorite Dan Majerle highlights: When an opponent hits a jump shot over Majerles outstretched arms!
Pip carried them boys and mj took over in the 4th like the 🐐 he is
Classic NBC intro. Classic Game.
Whew i missed that great intro
Jordan's scoring by quarter 4-6-7-14...the opposite of lebron
the suns came into that series way too cocky, thinking it was gonna be given to them, but mj set the record straight
MJ's layup at 3:34 was almost exactly the same as the final layup in Game 6 to clinch it.
Is this full game available anywhere? I just see one version with a different language on CZcams
i dont know if people realize how dominant MJ was in this series. 41 pts a game in the series... only shaq reaches that level in the finals
That pass from Paxson at the end of the 3rd was nice.
u gotta realize that chicago was an experienced team and phoenix, at the time was too, too psyched.
MJ = Basketball God
このオープニング最高に好き🥰🥰🥰
I loved that announcer when I was a kid for nbc when they played the theme music. Anybody know his name ?
Marv Albert I believe.
you see those thumb icons underneath the comment text?
Marv Albert probably misses commentating in the MJ era.... Jordan with the STEAL!! Jordan with the FADE AWAY!!! lol.
i miss this opening theme song ...
grant started off hot this game and played good D on charles
watch at 7.12......that's exactly the shot he took on Russell 5 yrs later....amazing!
God damn Pippen was the fuckin truth
@scottie 33 pippen.I noticed you don't have any earlier seasons of pip.88-92 seasons.why is that?
I wish the video would have showed some of the Sun's scoring too but good video anyway.
Suns had no defensive but were the original warriors high powered offense
5:01 oof Dumas got left there
wasn't this the series where mike went 41.0 ppg in the Finals? ridiculous. kobe bryant is my fav player in the league today - also IMO the best player in the league - but i doubt he could have averaged 41 on a great defensive team whilst hitting almost half of his field goals. only God knows how many more titles the bulls would've won if mike didn't "retire" in the offseason. probably would have been as dominant as the 60s Celts.
MICHAEL JORDAN.....enough said
Magic Johnson never ever needs to be a commentator again...
The nicest way that I can say about Magic on commentary during this period is that while enthusiastic (which we should normally expect from Magic Johnson), he was none the less, extremely raw and somewhat klutzy. I think that's the challenge when you have somebody who has as big and effervescent a personality as Magic. They risk detracting from the broadcast instead of being a supplement.
🤣😂😅
RIP Chuck dude he's actually alone
This was an awesome game by Pip but the major blemish for him in this game was, i believe he shot something like 3-9 from the free throw line. Richard Dumas was such a waste of talent, guy could dunk like it was no one's business and this was his rookie year. Its a damn shame really
PIPPEN THE MAN !!!! mj touuuuu
This is a Chicago Highlight video, Suns fans this is not for you.
what happen to Richard Dumas?
Good game
IKR itll get u excited 4 plyff time
7:05 Esa finta años más tarde haría historia...
jordan was focus in this series
intro 🔥
Clinic!
The Phoenix Suns are back in the NBA Finals after 28 years of waiting!
But lost in six games just like in 1993. I wanted Chris Paul to get his first ring. Giannis was amazing in the Finals.
Damn thats sad cuz throughout these finals he showed his potential
Bulls vs. Suns - 1993 NBA Finals Game 1 or Highlights Bulls ????... Suns playing?
@riker23 "good job, that is what people call basketball"
@jimmychuang Even though he was 6'7", he had a 7'5" wingspan
I don't remember it this way but apparently the final score was 100 - 3. How could the suns go a whole playoff game and get one 3pt shot from Barkley?
@mnkhan2020 not true. celtics and phoenix had a 3OT game in an nba finals before. don't remember the year exactly. i know it was in the 70s. alot of ppl think its the greatest nba game ever played.
This is the game chuck said they weren't ready for the bulls and he' s right. This is the only game they played azz😂
What game was it, that BJ Armstrong hit a 3-pointer from the corner, and raised both of his arms up in the air?
Game 5 of the 1993 ECF against the Knicks which was the series right before this one.
Chicago Bull love festering booo
3:27 what a fucking play by the GOAT
i think this suns team wouldve had a chance if they had at least a decent big man. i remember in this series jordan drove to the basket so much it was ridiculous. they had no interior defense. NONE
0:33 Pippen makes that critical so uncritical...
