@TeleMA50c I think that's it. His strings also appear to be a thicker gauge than usual. (Probably like 11s or 12s) To add more depth. Its a pretty smart way to make up for the lack of a bass.
@@RhinestonePickupTruck I saw they were doing these dates just now, after they hadn’t done any playing for awhile. I live up in PA though and can’t travel farther than a couple hours for a concert so I’ve sadly never gotten to see them
So is he using the bass amp in addition to the guitar amp just to add some depth to the sound since he has no bass player? I saw them open for The Raconteurs and he had the same general setup there, and it sounded like there was a bass up there with them. It was super heavy.
this was jakes old Ibanez guitar. But i think it got stolen a year ago or so. Now he has a tansparent gibson SG with half a pickup (Just the three strings). Pretty fuckin rad. Oh and i think they're ampeg cabs, not sure about the head unit though
You need a Bassist for your soul because it come across as emty. Jeff The Brotherhood are a 2 and always will be 2. They Fucking rock live. TRUST ME im from the otherside of the world in AUS and they killed a festival show over here. and i mean KILLED!!!
Max Cavalera from Sepultura/Soulfly has been doing it for a couple decades except he had 4 strings, I bet you aren't doing anything significant in music right now, If you are comment with a link to your awesomeness, I'm betting you are commenting out of jealousy these guys are doing what they like to do and gaining notoriety. This is not the first genre I listen to but they are great at what they do, what are you?
As much as this song is awesome. I think they need another guitarist. There's so many harmonies happening in the 'We Are The Champions' album. Makes so mcuh more rich.
This is my first time hearing these guys and i don't know how the studio version sounds like but they REALLY need a bassist for live performances. This sounds empty.
Too many arguements on here. I'm a musician and I can say that I have no disrespect toward any music. Just give it a fucking chance. You never know you might like it.
3:36 onward. Dayum son. This is the stuff gods listen to.
Thank goodness for KEXP. Can't wait to gander through all these JEFF the Brotherhood videos.
Caught these guys when they came and played Meredith2011. And wow they were the highlight of the weekend!!!! hope they come back to Australia soon.

@southrules thats truee...
@southrules yeah two comments... i'm obsessed
Wow. I just realized he was playing with only three strings.

They remind me of Wolfmother before they got massive!!!

link me to the video where they say they think they're sonic youth
You know why they're so fucking good... racoon tail
His scream reminds me of Kurt Cobain's.
Anybody know anything about his guitar rig? cant really tell what the guitar or amp is. Hamer? Idk.
the guuitar is an old ibanez guitar, and the head is a sunn concert lead
haha, it's cool man.
By the way if you take the 3 high strings off there is in fact no "B" string.
As much as this song is awesome. I think they need another guitarist. There's so many harmonies happening in the 'We Are The Champions' album. Makes so mcuh more rich.
3-string guitar, just like PotUSA. Who needs 6-12 strings!
this riff sounds a little bit like black sabbaths paranoid, but who cares, i love it.
@TheChimpvanzee Yeah... I'm pretty sure that was a joke.
This is my first time hearing these guys and i don't know how the studio version sounds like but they REALLY need a bassist for live performances. This sounds empty.
Cobble cock רון שטראוס
Nah, it's 2013
