- I’ve always wanted to do a “haul” video of some sort, but truth of the matter is, I only buy stuff that I need and use and not to make videos, and most of the time I just buy on or two things at a time. But as I mention in the video, this time Amazon Prime got the best of me and I ended up buying way more than I expected! This doesn’t mean I won’t use what I bought, but I think I’ll be set for a while, so there probably won’t be another art haul video anytime soon. I love my sakura Gamsai Tambi watercolours which are highly pigmented, activate almost immediately and being Japanese are exceptional quality. Great choice. Much love & *Virtual hugs* xxx
Thank you! Yes! They activate really fast, it took me a bit by surprise. I've just tried the graphite set and they are lovely and super pigmented!
Lol that kids voice. So cute. That's how I talk to my wife when I want to get away with something completely innocent. Like going fishing instead of going to church. Which I always attended when the children were children to Set the example.

I love to do abstract doodly design art with very fine tip black liner pens. About a year ago I became a fan of Molotow 0.05 black liner pens (Molotow is a German brand and make high-end acrylics and spray colors for graphic artists too. ) They're really great...and I think some of the best out there. But now they seemed to have jumped up in price to over $3.00 per pen. A bit too rich for my blood even though they seem to last a long time. Due to the high price, I started looking for alternatives and found a Pentel (I think) cartridge system pen that has 3 very small nib sizes, one that's an 0.05. I haven't really given them a good workout yet. I've used Copic Multiliners and liked them a lot too! But they don't have the 0.05.n Thanks for sharing your haul! 😀

I personally love that Japanese watercolors brand...They really are just lovely. I have the 24 count and the Gemstone set. I want to get more eventually but I need to use some up first. Lol

Oh yes, Christmas in July, in August, and September's coming up, so to celebrate the beginning of cooler weather...why not Christmas in September? Them we gotta celebrate Halloween with something special, so Christmas in October and of course, there's Black Friday in November. Then finally Christmas...buying for others...what a let down. ☹️Just kidding 😆 Thanks for sharing your haul!

What did you think of the watercolor sketchbooks? Did you find them worth it?
I'm just not as big a fan of Microns. I don't want to bash anyone or anything, they just never seem to work appropriately for me. I agree about the angle you hold it causing issues.
Right? I've just tried the new ones and so far I like them a lot. I haven't tested whether they're water proof though yet. But just for doodling over watercolor so far they work really well. I don't think I will be buying more Microns. I want to try the Faber Castell or maybe even fountain pens. Taking me way back to my school years 🤭
Same here. They also seem to fade when you erase over them. I've tried many different brands since I love fineliners, and Microns are near the bottom. Those Mangaka pens are great, as well as the Millennium liners--you can't really go wrong with Kuretake pens. The Uni Pin liners are also very good, as well as the lower-end Copic and Prismacolor pens. I've not used the Faber Castell ones enough to have a good opinion, but I'd be afraid they're as flimsy as their Pitt pens.
I enjoy watching occasional haul video but I don't follow channels that only do hauls, swatching and merchandise marketing videos. I like when a channel has a little bit of everything. I enjoy good reviews, because I also run a little group on fb in my native language, we are low income country and I like to have variety of brands to recommend of all prices, and also emphasise why there is a difference and what do you get for the price you pay for. I am trying to educate people to have better information to make educated decisions, bit also be aware of the downsides and limitations of the more affordable choices as well as the expensive materials.

It says ZEN Royal & Langnickel on the brushes. It was a set of 5 and I got them at Michaels.
