If you’re having trouble finding haggis in your supermarket or butchers, remember that Grants do tinned haggis which tastes pretty decent. Got to give an Ayrshire firm a bit of a plug 😉, Grants Foods, Galston. I think most of the big supermarkets sell it, well here in Scotland they do.

Those look amazingly tasty and whilst it might be a little bit more challenging to get haggis regularly here in the south of England, I'm sure it's out there somewhere, so I shall certainly be giving these a try. (I've never even had the original Chicken Balmoral). If I made a tweak, it would be to toss the chicken pieces in seasoned flour before frying them, and not only does that lock in extra succulence, but saves having to do a separate addition of flour as the sauce will thicken itself. I'm no drinker but I like the idea of adding the whisky for some extra flavour too. A fabulous meal!
