And people said this show wouldn’t be good to react to? LOL. One of my favorite things about this show is that there are realistic and very serious consequences for every little thing the characters do. It’s one of the main core concepts the writers wanted in the show from the start - everything is a chain reaction. Walter White himself actually foreshadowed this in the first episode “Chemistry is change. There’s an action, and then there’s a reaction”.

Season 1 is a great season, and yet it's the "weakest" in the whole show. That's how high the standard of this show is.
I thought season 4 was the weakest.
Wow, season 4 is in my top three. Season 2 is the weakest for me, even though every season of this show is incredible.

Loved how we get a flash of WW's increasing fierceness when his handicapped son is being bullied. When I think about the emotional & financial stressors on parents of kids with disabilities it makes W's behavior even more understandable. These parents often feel they have to live forever, leave behind as much legacy as possible just in case. Adds to the tension & sense of urgency for him.
Big shout out to actor RJ Mitte who plays Walter's son & is legitimately disabled IRL, just as portrayed in show. Everyone on BB is amazing.
I feel like Nikki has come so far since GoT. She went from "awe, don't kill them!" To "use the bag! The guns got your prints now!"
But with the weed, yeah a full joint for the first time will get you uber baked for a while. Especially if it's the first time. Even a seasoned smoker will get high after a full joint

Nah, in my experience, joints don’t really get me mearly as high as pieces do. I mean it does get me pretty baked but it’s less of a head high than say a bong or a bowl
I've heard that originally.....the character of Jesse Pinkman was never even intended to survive after the first few episodes. Just goes to show you how great a job Aaron Paul did as an actor, that they kept him in there. And supposedly.....Jonathan Banks was brought in to play Mike 'the cleaner'.....in whatever episode he first showed up in....as a substitute. Bob Odenkirk ( Saul ) was repeatedly supposed to stop by that house to assist Jesse. But I think he was also doing standup comedy at the time....& had prior commitments in New York. So they brought Mike.....creating a whole new legendary character.
Breaking Bad is the very best TV series I have ever seen. No other even comes close. I love re-living these shows through your reactions.

That’s true I feel like breaking bad is mostly story based which is fine but lots of people can get bored easily especially those who don’t appreciate story love action where as GoT is more balanced with action and story but I consider breaking bad and game of thrones to be probably the best shows in history of television
@@James-kd2qm GoT isn't as good. It started off very good with the first season though, but like TWD it got worse in terms of pacing/plot development as the show continued. This is something that fans of GoT keep bringing up. What GoT has working for it is a super high budget combined with a medieval/fantasy plot that appeals to a younger audience.

It's funny watching this back (and fun watching with you two) as the first season had a bit more silliness to it, and then the show becomes the darkest most badass show ever on television. The way Walter White transitions and the mood of the show changes into such high stakes is so insane to think about. Also I'm freaking out that the SERIES FINALE aired in 2013.... I started watching this show in Season 1 when it was airing on AMC which was 2008. I can't believe it's been 13 years since this show started WTF.... and the finale was 9 years ago?!?!? HOW does life go this quickly .......
Being a Chemistry major, this show is so relatable and amazing! BTW you learn how to make a very very diluted version of 'meth' (it's not the real thing because some of the molecular properties are taken out, for educational purposes) in organic chemistry labratory. Every time Walt comes up with a genius scientific solution, i get so happy. 🤣🤣🤣

True... But my thing (damn the US Army for CBRNE training) is that HF (Hydrofluric acid) doesn't work like that... It takes... "Other Stuff" to breakdown organic matter... But even then, not the whole "tub going through the floor" crap... This is one of the reasons I prefer GOT over BB... I know what the "real science" is of BB and that only gets me to roll my eyes when TV tries to "look smart"... GOT is fantasy and if they say "it's magic" then I can suspend disbelief easier...

Funny thing about that ... there are numerous hints sprinkled throughout The Walking Dead that suggests both shows are set in the same universe (The Walking Dead is the future after Breaking Bad). As to whether they were just references (both shows are AMC) or they are indeed the same universe is up for speculation.
Also, the actor who played Crazy 8 in this show was in season 1 of The Walking Dead, episode 4 ("Vatos"). It was a different character, naturally.

the year of season 1 and most of season 2 takes place in 2008, the show was made in 2008 and ended in 2013, however took place from 2008 - 2010, mandala, was the first episode to take place in 2009, 2009 ended in early season 5 aka season 5A

So I said I'd give this a try since I've never seen the show and so far it's alright. Two scenes had me dying: the one where Walter tells his wife to climb down his ass and the other is the one with the splattered guts EVERYWHERE lol! And since I've watched the first two episodes, I'm officially IN. Now I HAVE to find out how it all ends. I'm invested in this Walter character. So, I went to see if it's available on Netflix and it is but you know what else I found out? People have also been making connections from this show to TWD. Same theory like you Steven: if Walter is the reason for the outbreak. Interesting. I'm off to see it on Netflix and binge it lol. not sure you'd want to seek them out now as to avoid possible spoilers for Breaking Bad but there are definitely fan theories and evidence out there that link the Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead universes together.

-Great reaction. I always crack up at that tub scene. I love watching people's reactions to that.
-My husband died at a very young age from leukemia, when we had a baby and a toddler. It was extremely hard to watch his decline over the course of a year. This was back in the days when good insurance actually covered things and if it didn't you could automatically qualify for disability.
- You can't leave purple hearts if you are using a computer.
Well, Walt's idea of dissolving the Krazy 8's cousin's body was clever. Too bad Jesse didn't have the patience to wait. It would've saved him a bathtub.
The series started in 2008.
Fun fact Mythbusters did a few myths from/about Breaking Bad. One of them was can you dissolve a body in acid. Yes. Yes you can. They tested this with a dead pig, and while they used a "secret" booster in addition to the Hydrochloric acid, that was mainly just to speed things up and make it look like the scene from the show. They also tested whether it would eat through various tub materials. Check out that Mythbusters episode, it's fascinating and fun. One take away though is you'd need more acid than what the show demonstrates them using...mainly because as acid reacts with various substances and materials, it loses it's reactivity, as it becomes chemically altered. So you'd need to add more acid. But basically a tub full should do it.
This is the only channel I’ve watch breaking bad the whole series and I was completely blind with it but now I just on to the whole scene now thanks for letting me this discover a will deserved award winning show it became my favourite show because of you Steven & Nikki
