Love your Target Dollar Spot Haul. And let me just say... Ruby's Wish is one of my absolute faves. I teach second grade. I have also taught first and K. Keep your heart in it and you will not steer wrong. Have a wonderful year!
Love the idea you have to use the dry erase cubes in small groups, putting sight words on them is so smart!! I also use the reading trackers with my 2nd graders in our ELA groups and they have benefited from them SO much! Amazing haul Hailey, I just adore your sunshine spirit ☀️💛
The Target Dollar section is truly a teacher trap! My classroom is full of great finds! Literally, my room tour video should just be a giant Target ad. #SponserUsTarget Cute finds
I start student teaching in a kindergarten classroom beginning in August and I am NERVOUS. Even though it won’t be my classroom, hauls like this excite me so much😍 target dollar spot never fails!
You make me so excited for my own classroom hopefully next year 2021. Wanting to do special education. But, if I did regular grades I would want Prek - kindergarten. Love hauls .
My kids LOVED the "If I had..." series! It was one of the most engaging book series I read all year. I didn't expect that big of a reaction, so it was super fun!
That’s a good idea to use the name plates for cubbies! I need to get some. Also love the first and last day of school sign. You found some really good stuff!
Sometimes I wish I was still an elementary teacher lol. Your haul looks like a lot of fun! Practical and full of color. Looks like you have some great plans for next year. Looking forward to seeing how it goes!
I used those same desk nametags in my Kindergarten classroom last year, and a veteran teacher told me to laminate them! Best decision ever. The kids could color on them and it would wipe right off. The same nametags lasted the whole year and still looked great at the end. Highly recommend a cheap Target laminator if you don't have one!
I absolutely LOVE David Shannon!! My favorite is "Duck on a Bike"! :) I loved reading that with my daughters when they were little. My students are probably too old for picture books. :(
hello!!! I am currently going to be a sophomore in college working on my degree in early childhood education! I just have a quick question when do you think is the right time to start buying stuff for my classrooms and teacher collection???? love your videos!!❤️❤️❤️
Another way to get a lot of children's books is through eBay! I would search a wide range of leveled readers and be able to get big bundles of used/new books, depending on the seller, for really affordable prices. Good luck this year!
There is also a song called “Me and the Sky” from the musical “Come from Away” that tells the story of Beverley Bass. It may not be appropriate for kids but it is so powerful and you should definitely give it a listen!
Hailey, Great Job finding items for the classroom ( be used in K & 1st grade) !! Do most of the primary & elementry schools in your area, have their start day with kids present on same day of last school , you taught at?? Such gems can be found at Value Village= I`ve been in store many times(not in Seattle). Take Care
It's obvious that you are absolutely in love with teaching! I love to watch your vlogs. They remind me of why I joined the profession. Random thought...your hair would be super cute in a long bob.
This is such a random question, but as someone going into my second year of college for elementary education, would you suggest buying things like this early before I have a classroom? Like box of flash cards, adhesive labels there etc. I feel like it might save just a little bit of money my first year and I can already have some teaching things for the kids.
I have been stalking the Target 🎯 by my house & seeing this video made me get up & run up there & they had the Labels finally!!!! They legit were taking them out of the box 📦 and putting them on the shelf & I was taking them as they were putting them down!
Love the mini slime! Loved the haul!
Thank you 🤗
I wish we had Value Village near me! You scored so many good books!
Oh I wish you had one too! It's my favorite thrift store!

The Target Dollar section is truly a teacher trap! My classroom is full of great finds! Literally, my room tour video should just be a giant Target ad. #SponserUsTarget Cute finds

Omg it's all so cute!!! 😍 I've been hesitant to buy anything buuuuut I'm not sure if I can resist anymore 😂
Hahaha doooo it 😉😂
Love the rainbow border, and I ADORE Junie B. Jones
Are those name tag sleeves easy to remove from the desks at the end of the year? I just don’t want them leaving a residue or anything on the desks...
Where do you like to shop for all your teacher clothes?? I would also love to see a video of your favorite and must have teacher clothes
You should check out Thred Up--That's where I buy my teacher clothes =D
That’s a good idea to use the name plates for cubbies! I need to get some. Also love the first and last day of school sign. You found some really good stuff!
I guess I’m going to target tomorrow!! ❤️
Sometimes I wish I was still an elementary teacher lol. Your haul looks like a lot of fun! Practical and full of color. Looks like you have some great plans for next year. Looking forward to seeing how it goes!
I love those name tags! It is so helpful that they have the right and left hands because younger students have troubles with that!🤗

Hahahah I do not blame you 😂 they are so useful!!

I think as long as what you purchase is able to work for most grade levels, that's fine! I would especially recommend starting to find books!
❤️🤗
