I agree as well
@@AClockworkReader Reading List (free), Bookly and Read More are great apps for recording statistical data of your reading habits and setting up reading period within which you must complete the book, they also provide everyday reminder (optional) for you to read at a set time in a day. I am using Bookly (premium version) and find it excellent help in motivating me to read everyday. đ
So true.
i just adore how transparent and genuine you are when you said "i haven't been reading much this year." as someone who struggles from anxiety, it is comforting to watch a big youtuber openly admit that not every time is a good reading time, and this makes my heart full because i can really relate. đ
no one:
me: *jealous AF of that bookshelf*
Me too!!
Me too mate, me too.
I felt this comment
it ain't nobody cause me too!
Right
itâs official: my day just got better
I'm a bookseller and last year I read 8, I'm currently on 13. Reading shouldn't be a chore
How is it doing my dream job...
*READ THE DANG BOOKS HANNAH!!!*
(this is me yelling at you)
thank youuuu đ
So many great picks! Can't wait to hear your thoughts!
Is it just me, or does Hannah look a little like Mother Gothel from Rapunzel, but younger and prettier? Anyway, I'm happy for the new upload!
@melissa oh my god yes!!
More like Persian merida
@@ananyagupta70 yes
funny you said this, because she mentioned it a few videos ago lol
@@billie4767 Wait, really?
sometimes i read childrenâs books when iâm in a reading slump. that said you should read the land of stories. itâs a 6 (?) part series by Chris colfer and its fantasy. itâs for like 12 year olds but they are so so good and i always use them to get out of my reading slumps lol
i first read the land of stories when i went through a really bad depression, and now it is literally one of my favorite book series of all time.
cayla thames i honestly love it so much. the plot, the writing, the characters, all of it
I read the first five when I was 9 and then when the 6th came out I read that too
now i want to reread that series, I read it about 4 years ago and read the 6th book when it came out
me too it was wayyy better than i expected lol
When you look at the cover of Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare, you can see that the girl's hair is like a autumn colour and there's autumn leaves on her hair and that makes me think of autumn so I'm going to read that this fall đđđđ
I might reread it just for this comment. It makes a lot of sense
Georgie Farr same itâs my current read!!!!!!
I'm literally starting it tomorrow haha
Priory of the Orange Tree is absorbing & very readable - makes it go by quicker than your average big book so don't be intimated y'all
Amenâșïž
I have it on my bookshelf as well - got it for christmas last year - and I've been intimidated by it's bludgeoning size. Nice to know it's an absorbing book though. Can't wait to read.
good to know! we're def intimidated but we're reading this in November
It's actually wonderful. I love it.
I just finished priory of the orange tree and the starless sea back to back, and they are quite honestly two of the best fantasy books Iâve ever read!
Hey, love. You are literally the ONLY booktuber whose updates make me really REALLY excited because I resonate with your... situation on so many levels.
I know what it's like to not be able to finish a book even though you were so excited about it in the start. I know what it feels like to just not be in the headspace to read. I know because I have been going through the same phase for a while.
But here's what i want you to know: As people grow up, their tastes change. They move towards different, more in-depth, perhaps peculiar books. It's a natural phenomena, otherwise a reader's journey would become stagnant and so would their growth as a person.
I think I felt SUPER SUPER BAD about not being able to enjoy the books that previous used to drive me crazy, but after talking to many literally experts this is what i have learned: Many people stick to the genre they are used to even when those genres have nothing new to offer to them. That actually negates the whole point of reading and stagnates the growth of the reader. Exploring different genres and allowing yourself to OUTGROW books that previously made you feel ALIVE is natural and IMPORTANT.
I hope this didn't sound like a preachy message but it really did completely change my take on things and put me in a lot better place, which is what i want for you.
You don't exactly have to give up on your favourite genres but you don't have to feel guilty another not feeling enraptured by them either. Keep growing, and keep glowing. Love you loads!
Haven't even watched yet, but this has already made my night so much better
âIâve read like 10 books, basically nothingâ me: started reading again, read 12 books this year, feeling like I could be a Booktuber đ€Łđđą
Like booktubers nowadays read like 50 books a year
Dylan 13 and LaLa reads like 100+ đł
Hahah I know! Incredible! I am so proud of my 12 books and really looking forward to my 26 goal this year
Niki ! I set a 100 book goal (I work for a small business and listen to a lot of audio books at work) Iâm only at like 70 đ staring to get a lil stressed
Me just reading just 4 books this year
Well I've read 11 books this year so I win đ
(Most of them were under 300 pages)
Hannah Dropped a video = My day turns 10*better
Mine too!!!
Iâm gonna need you to do an audiobook. Your voice is just to magical.
You really should start a podcast, I can listen to your voice FOR EVER.
idk what iâd talk about !!!
I needed a hanna video so bad. I've probably been the worst I've been all year (mentally) and I don't know why, but when I get off from work, comfy clothes and this video is gonna happen.
Also good luck to anyone who may be struggling đ
Same â€ïž
sending lots of love to you đđ
@@AClockworkReader or Lord, my heart, thank you love to you too đđđ

Hannah, I feel the need to say that you are one of the few people on CZcams that makes me feel calm and comfortable. When you upload is always on a day/night that I feel not so good like anxious, but then you post a new video and my anxiety is gone.
Also, you are the person that introduced me to the night circus and I want to thank you for that. It is my favourite book too.
Keep doing what you love,
You are appreciated
I hope you know how much I (and a lot of other people too!) love your videos and I'm so thankful for them. They make me feel so much calmer, happier and I can stop overthinking while watching them âŁïž
Almost every book on your tbr is on mine as well! I hope we can both get to read some of them this season haha. Especially Addie LaRue!!! I ordered the OwlCrate edition and I'm so excited to get it.
This is a super ambitious list for the fall, The city of brass and The fifth season alone left me tired afterward, two worlds with strong world-building, two major book hangovers for sure
The Book Buzz I'm not planning to read all these this month lol I just meant my TBR in general. I don't like to put pressure on myself to read a certain amount per month
@@KelliMarissa of course! :) I hope you enjoy the ones you get through
"It's missing dragons, everything's missing dragons" If 2020 had dragons we wouldn't be in this mess.
I just clicked on your channel to get book recommendations as it's my birthday and I wanted to get new books, and I see that you posted this two hours ago. wow. I'm genuinely happy right now.
I cannot tell you how grateful I am to Hannah, she got me reading again, and introduced me to the world of booktube and books in general! Thank you so much.
I finally got around to The Starless Sea last month, I kept putting it off because I was worried it wouldnât be as good as The Night Circus. OMG. IT IS AMAZING. Iâve NEVER marked passages or quotes in a book my whole life but this had so many beautiful phrases in it I needed to be able to go back to find them! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! X
Youâre legit my favorite youtuber. Watching your videos make me so happy đ
I've been needing this recommendations list - fantasy and fall are a magical combination
I read the starless sea because you mentioned it in a video and honestly, it might have been my best read of the year
Smile Anderson for me as well until I read Mistborn and my Dark Vanessa. But itâs very high for me...
I can listen to you talk all day and come out of the video feeling much better than I was before đâ„ïžâ„ïžâ„ïž
Omg I commented on a couple of your videos years ago begging you to pick up City of Brass, so the fact that itâs on your list for this year makes me SO happy. Favorite book/series of all time.
I'm so glad you're getting back into your reading groove. It's been a hard year.
girl, you're GLOWING!!!! âš

"we love an all or nothing mindset" lmao!! Ugh also CANNOT wait to read The Starless Sea and Addie LaRue
My fall/end of the year reading plans include:
âąAnxious People by Fredrik Backman (currently reading)
âąA Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara
âąLittle Women
âąThe Strange & Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton &
âąPriory of The Orange Tree ( I am also so intimidated by the size of this book đ)
đđ
I have just finished reading Anxious People and I really liked it. Would love to know your thoughts
Inej Ghafa Iâm only 100 pages in at this point, but so far I am loving it! Iâll update you when I finish :)
What is a little life about?
A little life will destroy you. Highly recommend! But beware of the lot of trigger warnings before going into it.
A little life destroyed me. Such a heart wrenching story.
I very much delighted to see a upload from youâ€â€
okay first your bookshelves are so beyond gorgeous omg đ second, i just read the starless sea and absolutely adored it! enjoy it!
I recently read Radio Silence because of your recommendation and Iâm so in love with this book now. Thank you
You uploading always makes my day ! Youâre so funny, and we have super similar reading tastes which means Iâm so hyped up now to read everything on this list !!
Omg Iâm so happy she is back!!!
was so excited when you said the poppy warđ„ș also iâve been putting off the starless sea for the same reason!! excited to see what you think once you read it!
The invisible life of ADDIE LARUE.... oh yessss, this is on my TBR. Now that hannah mentioned it so I need to read it đ
Our queen has uploaded
I'm so happy to see you backđâ
The only thing i am gonna be Reading this month is textbooks because its midterm season yaâll!! But its nice to see u read again excited for ur updates.
watching this on an anxious day because hannahâs voice calms my soul đ„șđđ„°
Your videos make me feel so happy. Thank you for posting again. đ§Ą
I can't wait for you to do reading vlogs about all of these, but especially The Fifth Season, The Poppy War and Priory! I think you'll really like them :)
And Addie La Rue is my top priority right now!
I have been in the WORST book slump I have ever been in this year. I miss reading but when I try to get back in, I just can't focus like I used to. Crossing my fingers it goes away soon and hope you're able to enjoy all your fall picks!
this outfit made me gasp when i saw it on your instagram and youâre just as stunning in this video omgđ€©
Love your hair and whole vibe in this video!! Iâve been in a big reading slump too! And this really helped, thank you, you are so lovely đđ
I'm reading The Toll right now, literally finished Thunderhead yesterday and it's all soooo good, I also just bought Legendborn on audible so I'm gonna listen to that too!
Your content always leaves me calmer and happier , thanks!
I am definitely getting V.E. Schwabâs new book cause the synopsis sounds very interesting and I love romance in books so I think her new book will really excite me:))
Iâve been in a reading slump as well. I really enjoy your videos, Iâve found some great reads and PLENTY of books have been added to my âto be readâ list!
Addie La Rue is so, so good. It's definitely a slow read, but incredibley deliberate and beautiful. Cannot wait to see your thoughts in the vlog!!!
Your voice is so soothing, and watching your videos makes me very happy
I love you don't spoil any book like some other CZcamsrs do . I love watching you a lot
Iâve a few books on my TBR:
- House of Salt and Sorrows (actually i finished this yesterday)
- The Wicked Deep (currently reading)
- Coraline
- The Girl Who Drank The Moon;
- Hazel Wood
Hope I can finished them bc i failed my last tbr lmao
Update: I read 3 books and Iâm trying to finish the girl who drank the moon but I donât think I will đ
I tried to read The Girl Who Drank The Moon in fourth grade but I couldn't get into it.
Nobody Nowhere Me too. Iâm just not a fan of Kelly Barnhillâs writing style
Did you enjoy house of salt and sorrows?
@@nobodynowhere6942 I started reading it but Iâm taking too long to finish it. Even tho I liked it idk itâs just not my style
@@riekebusch5374 yeah!! itâs one of my fav readings of 2020 so far
Sometimes I feel like I go through reading slumps that are so long I canât call myself a reader even though, I love books and I love reading. Itâs nice to know Iâm not alone when it comes to struggling to read. Your list has motivated to make one of my own.
one day at a time; world is going through so much right now a reading slump is a common thing :)
I'm going through that right now
Who is so excited that our queen is back with the content?
âșïžâșïžâșïž
So good to see you again! đ§Ą
Thank you sweetheart for your suggestions đđđ
Oh my goodness I want to read all of these!! They sound so fantastic đ Iâve actually read Children of Virtue and Vengeance and itâs sooo intense and really good and wow I am excited for the final book. I canât wait to see the Addie LaRue vlog! Iâve actually never read a VE Schwab book but in the years Iâve been watching your channel youâve convinced me to put all of her books on my TBR and soon Iâm going to read The Monsters of Verity Duology!â€ïž
her excitement this whole video just made me smile so hard
I'm so happy to see you posting new videos! Hope you enjoyed making it and will enjoy reading these.
It has been a weird year to say the least, and with these anxious times I thought I would be reading more to escape, but I have found it so hard to concentrate. But not reading books has not deterred me from buying them!! That being said my TBR list just grew by 10!! Thank you:)
Iâm so ready to watch your book review of Starless Sea once you read it! The Night Circus is one of my favorite books too :)
I just get the urge to read a book every time I watch one of your videos (even when im in a reading slump) and honestly thank you so much for that
just finished priory of the orange tree. itâs excellent! would highly recommend. itâs super immersive and the lore is so good
In my bed, eating warm noodles and listening to Hannah talk about books. Life does not get better than this. And it does not need to be better than this.
Love this. I dont know many fantasy books but feel like I could use the distraction right about now. I just started Chain of Gold and I'm excited to read Addie and Starless Sea!
ahh finally hanna videođ„ș I really hope that you have a good day everyday. Oh yaa btw I just wanna recommend u some series book, it's Earth series. So basically there are 9 books for now, they are earth, moon, sun, star, ceros&batozar, comet, comet minor, selena, and nebula. If you don't mind you can just check out the synopsisđ some of them are already being translated so its available in english for some books. Have a good dayâšâ€
ive been in a reading slump for more than a year now which has never happened to me before and it really hurt to feel my spark and passion for reading just... fizzle out. i just started rereading my favourite series the lunar chronicles a few weeks ago and im so happy that i feel like my love for books is coming back.
Iâve been really in the mood for fantasy too! I just started Priory of the Orange Tree and Iâm so excited to be reading it!!
If it makes you feel any better, I have the Priory of the Orange Tree and I haven't read it yet due to how thick it is compared to the other books in my TBR list! Don't feel bad for not reading much! You'll get back into it, and fantasy/adventure stories are the perfect way to do it.
Haven't watched this one yet, but I see the thumbnail, and - Hannah's smile is so pretty?! Gosh, I hope she's doing well. I was so happy when she returned to CZcams; her videos are some of my favorite. đ
Ugh I could stay in Hannahâs outro forever. So calming
I was so anxious you won't upload these days but I am glad you did.
you look so pretty!! look at this hair, this face! just stunning
OMG I'm soo happy you posted this I swear you just made my day waaay better đ
Hannah! I kept putting off The Starless Sea as well even though I preordered it. I finally read it last month and I absolutely loved it!!! Knowing how much you love The Night Circus I'm sure you'll love it as well! Do it do it do it!!!
Not sure what it is, but you look extra gorgeous in this video!! Glad to see you look happy and healthy!! :)
your hair looks so good!
The smile that appeared on my face when i saw you uploaded brcause I had a tiring day :((âĄ
The queen is back!!!!!đ€©
omg, PLEASE do a reading vlog for 'The Poppy War'! It's phenomenal, one of my all-time favorite books!
It's okay, I've been in a reading slump for the past 4 months, which I just got out of a few weeks ago. I feel like everyone of my friends on goodreads, either read like 100 books over quarantine, or none.
Iâm so jealous of you for having thst edition of the starless sea I want it so bad
The Poppy War & Jade City are also on top of my tbr, I need to read them asap!! đ
Something about your videos are just so peaceful and I really needed that today đ
I canât wait to read Legendborn and The Invisible Life of Addie LeRue too! You should definitely try The Storygraph, itâs so much better than Goodreads! đ
I'm on hold for Legendborn, I am in love with the cover.
She's back and she brought books!!
To all booklovers and authors here's a recommendation: "I will judge you by your bookshelf" by Grant Snider. It's a collection of funny and herartwarming little comics dedicated to books, reading and writing. It's drawn beautifully!
Yes! Yes! Yes! Reading vlog for invisible life of Addie LaRue đđđ I am dying waiting for my copy to arrive.. The wait has been torturousđ I strted reading V E SCHWAB after coming across this channel and hearing such good things from you and I just can't thank you enoughđđđđ
