There's a debate on Tri-Heart vs. Mirrorjade and In Red because there is no official TCG ruling. Some judges might rule differently, so check with your head judge before. Regarding Skill Drain, it works.

Tri-heart doesn’t need the monster to remain face up or on the field for the monster to be unaffected. It needs it to have activated its effect in defence position. Here is a similar example: "World Shield" Unaffected by activated effects from any monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. The opponent summons "Black Rose Dragon" When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can destroy all cards on the field. And then chains, "Compulsory Evacuation Device" Target 1 monster on the field; return that target to the hand.
The Answer give is.
Even if Black Rose Dragon is no longer on the field when its effect resolves, its effect is still treated as one activated by a monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. Since World Legacy - "World Shield" is unaffected by the activated effects of monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, it is not destroyed by the effect of Black Rose Dragon.
We can draw a comparison between this and the example in the video as it appears the monster will effect will be treated as one activated from the extra deck or by a monster in defence position. In the example with Tri-heart. Please let the judges know of this precedence and let's here why his doesn’t apply if they say so.
The key here is yes talk to the head judge of the event and make sure to bring up anything of concern
@@josepharmstrong6852 I tested titaniklad v. zeus on Edo by flipping zeus face down before his effect resolved. Since the zeus that activated the effect was a monster from the extra deck, it still did not effect titaniklad, but it would have if zeus activated the effect after having been flipped face down and then up.
In this situation with Tri-Heart, I thought that the effect could go through since a defense position monster would have to be on the field, but on Edo it works that tri-heart is unaffected, and it does make sense.
@a yoobi Hi let me explain as best I can. 1st off cards and effects resolve where they activate. A continuous effect such as this would check the characteristic of the effect i.e., if a card activated in the grave the effect would be of a spell, trap, or monster. Just because the card leaves the grave doesn’t mean it wouldn't know what card type effect it was. In the same why the effect knows what card type it is it would know if it was a monster remember what attribute and type it was or if it was special summoned from the extra deck. etc.
Here are both the effects which are relevant to this ruling.
Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir
...While this card is in face-up Defense Position, change all face-up monsters on the field to Defense Position, also negate the activated effects of monsters that were in Defense Position when that effect was activated.
Scareclaw Tri-Heart

These conditions effectively work the similarly but are not the same. Bagooska - Negates and Tri-Heart is unaffected. I think the Bagooska wording confuses a lot of people. But please search for the example

The Arise heart is outed better by activating mercourier to add albaz. Then normal Albaz and use effect. They are then forced to chain Arise heart. Negate with Rindbrum, but do not bounce. Fuse into Mirrorjade. If you happen to have Cartesia as well, then you can otk :)
howd you otk from this position? (with access to cartesia, as i think adding their attacks is 7k)

If they only have Arise and you haven’t normal summoned to get to Branded Fusion, yes.

Key thing to note here 4:08 is that you will not be able to use Merc effect and rindbrum in the same chain here. You have to pick which effect you want to make chain link 2. As rindbrum is a quick effect and Merc is a trigger. For rindbrum to work you will have to miss the Merc trigger and only use rindbrum as quick effects must be used after trigger effects. And rindbrum need to be chained to the effect it wants the negate.
yeah this is correct. just add albaz and ns forces the arise banish fd eff then chain rindbrumm but don't bounce. then u have a free MJ

Merc and Rindbrumm are both quick effects. Merc is not a trigger (if it was, then it would not be able to respond to quick effects, since you can't chain a speed 1 to a speed 2) They are both spell speed 2. The thing is that they need to respond directly to the effect they are negating, because they are 'when' effects, so that's why you have to pick one to respond with.

Joshua Schmidt had a VOD on the tri-heart ruling, judged ruling similarly that exiled force does NOT out tri-heart, so I believe you are wrong on the video here. Bagooska and Tri-heart have the same wording in the OCG so the ruling should be the same.

mirrorjade does NOT out scareclaw tri-heart if removed from the field WITH SOMETHING LIKE SPER POLY OR BRANDED IN RED, as the effect of mirrorjade was ACTIVATED WHILST IT WAS IN DEFENSE POSITION. Please make sure you are 100% correct on all rulings you post, as now im going to have to argue with 1000 noobs because they've seen your video!

I think you went over this before, but it was very helpful in master duel - sending rindbrum as cost for mirrorjade, and then using rindbrum effect to summon albaz as an interruption, even though it can't summon itself.

Galzo,I believe the ruling with mirrorjade at 9 minutes is incorect. It doesnt matter that mirrojade is off the field when tri heart is placing it in defence. Triheart is still unaffected even when mirrojade has been removed, because the effect was activated whilst it was in defence position, triheart doesnt care where mirrojade is at resolution
Against skill drain, this idea is fine though. But the issue applies with bagooska too, the effect is still negated
By all means, check this with a judge. but i do think that if this is the case, please either pin this comment or else make a note.

It's also coded in all simulators to work like that. If it activated in defense position -> still unaffected.
Yeah, Josh had a good discussion about it on his stream this week. Tri-heart is supposed to be worded the same as bagooska (it is in ocg) but for some reason reads way more vague in tcg. It does check where the monster was when it activated.

9:21 This is unfortunately NOT correct as the mirrorjade effect was activated when it was in def position. Regardless where mirror jade ended up in a later chain, thats a fact that wont change.
So tri heart is unaffected and this doesn't work.
9:20 Mirrorjade just resolve if he lives the field because of an opponent card ("If this Fusion Summoned card in its owner's control leaves the field because of an opponent's card").

The Tri-Heart is wrong. Is work like bagooska, there is judge's in the community saying that.
Well, that judge is unfortunately wrong. The Mirrorjade is not in defense position on resolution, thus it resolves and can affect Tri. Bagooska's effect is different, the effect of Defense position monsters are NEGATED, even if they leave the field - it also says so on the card. Your judge needs to check their credentials.

@@galzo Thats just not true. For example Laevatein (generaider card) tributes itself for cost, but it still cannot attach Tri-Heart as material since the effect was activated in defense position. This is coded into most simulators like this as well. Tri-Heart is Unaffected by activated effects of Defense position monsters. If it activated in defense -> unaffected.

What they were doing was countering the logic you were providing in that if its off the field then it doesnt matter whether it was in defence or not

how would called by work in scenario 2? opponent can still ash but it sends to the banished pile, so you can't use called by on them
Read called by it says the following "Target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; banish it, and if you do, until the end of the next turn, its effects are negated, as well as the activated effects and effects on the field of monsters with the same original name." Let's brake this down really simply cost is to target in grave the monster you wish to negate if it not in the grave you legally can't attempt to play the card. If you did it would be an illegal action probably get a procedural error minor. Essentially you can't called by a banished ash blossom.

There's a difference between activated and continuous effects. Titan says unaffected by the activated effects of any other monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. Bagossga is not an activated effect.
I noticed you are playing Allure for draw power. Is that a good decision??
Droll is a big thing rn so it's dependent on if your locals scene has a lot of people on droll. If you notice droll is in the side more then it may be worth it, if people are maindecking droll then it might be riskier etc

The mirrorjade can try to affect the tri-heart but as both effects where ACTIVATED in defence position which is all tri-heart cares about it will be unaffected. But other cards can be either popped or banished. But if you fail to pop then no draw from chimera as it's conjunction is and if you do.
can someone explain why ghost mourner can not answer albaz effect?
Mourner only hits special summoned monsters. And if Albaz is summoned on your turn, then you, as the turn player, would have to use mourner first, and then they chain albaz.

Yes that's rather good one to know here is another you might not know. If arise heart is on the field or shifter is active and you discard tragedy for cost or link it off it will be able to trigger in the next chain as it is being banished due to a continuous effect.

How can we out psychic end punisher?
Crash a mirrorjade which was fusion summoned and trigger the effect to apply a condition in the end phase destroy all monsters on the opponents field during the end phase. This will then resolve during the end phase and as it wasn't an activated effect it will be able to destroy them. This may seem confusing but as there is a time gap between when the effect activates and when the condition resolves it will be considered not an activated effect.

Well here is an option if you can make mirror jade then you can send the albion to the grave for cost. Sent it in the ep. Also if you can get opening and sarinor and albion the main deck monsterin hand you can do the combo shown in the video to add branded fusion insted just add red. by getting retrubution + red in grave with the albion and sarinor.

If mirrorjade activated its effect while in defense position, then Tri-Heart will be unaffected.

@josepharmstrong6852 that is not how it works. Tri heart is only immune if it is still on the board. Monsters can leave the field and still be active. Spells and traps are the only cards that stay on the field during chains till completion. It's the correct play
@josepharmstrong6852 the banish only checks when mirrorjade chooses who the effect picks, since it is not immedielty part of the cost, it dodges the effect of being in def since it's current position is banish when it chooses it's non-target target
There's no way as a Kashtira player I'm letting branded fusion go through. Why would it matter if you have called by? Ash isn't going to the grave anyway

So i don't like the testing engine your using. it doesn't 'maintain' the rules and activation order it is "player driven Choice" of when things active (and how they activate). i tested @4:40 "turn Player Priority" in Project Ignis: EDOpro and it worked backwards of what was suggested.

(Chain Link 1) "Guilding Quem, The Virtuous" activates > Summoning "Fallen of Albaz" (End Chain Link)
Still opponent turn (new chain from Summon)
(Chain Link 1) "Fallen of Albaz" Summon Effect is triggered > Discard 1
(Chain LInk 2) "Ghost Mourner & Moonlit Chill" Activates > Target and Negate "Fallen of Albaz" (End Chain Link)
No chance for use Ghost Mourner as Link 1, then Fallen of Albaz as response 2.
also Ghost would Target Fallen of Albaz and negate his effect so it couldn't be activated in the beginning - so no chance for it to fuse off and "Dodge" as Chain Link 2.
You are dead wrong about the Tri heart. You cannot out him by making the monster leave the field
