That is a great video, I did that walk last February. I will be in Kona 5 days around Christmas then up to the Waikoloa resort area for the rest of my trip. The Waikoloa resort hotels and condos are basically 99% booked for the Holidays at this point(early Nov)...along with Kaanapali or Wailea, it is one of the nicest resort areas in all of Hawaii. Big Island is very underrated amongst the general public who only go to Oahu or Maui.
Thursday nights live entertainment at Don's Mai Tai bar at the Royal Kona is so good even the locals go there.
