My thighs didn’t get crushed either! Skyrush is definitely a blast all the way through. Great review- nothing I could really disagree with. I love its proximity to Comet, which really surprised me in how much fun it was. Hershey has a great little duo right next to one another!
Two great coasters separated by 66 years (and about 20 feet)
I also agree that the restraints don't bother me that much, also if you thought the drop was amazing in row 7, it's on another level in the back.
So sad I didn’t get the magic seat 😭 I need more rides on this beauty
It looks super fun I definitely need to add this to my list. Thanks Josh for another sick review :)
Well done - keep these reviews coming. 👍🏻
Thanks!
So far this is the only coaster I’ve ridden where the first drop is actually scary I love it that much
Best first drop 🙌
The restraints did staple me quite a bit, but not to the point of causing pain. The great thing about lap bars is that even if you are stapled, you can still experience some airtime by putting your hands up. This was the first "elite" coaster I ever rode (unless you count Storm Runner, which I have at #4) and 92 credits later, it is still my #3, only behind I-305 and El Toro.
Intamin representing 🔥
That cable lift is ridiculously fast
It sure is!
I've ridden too many coasters to feel comfortable with a definitive ranking but I love Skyrush. I love how exposed the trains are and how crazy the airtime is. And I think the complaints about the restraints are generally people who rode it in 2012 and haven't ridden it since, as I had issue with them its opening year but I have no issue with them now. I'm not here to invalidate the Airtime Thrills opinion of Skyrush as everyone is entitled to their opinions but you've gotta remember, a big CZcamsr having a controvertial opinion and exagerating it for clicks is...common. If I were big mine would be about how Zamperla is the worst thing to ever happen to the amusement industry (and I mean, that is my opinion largely because of how they've destroyed Coney Island. But I do exagerate it sometimes).
Thought it was a little overrated in 2019. Was def wrong lol. Finally realized this coaster is something special after experimenting with the seat in 2022. IK the purpose of coasters is sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying the ride experience but I've always believed skyrush is an exception. The shock you get after enhancing those elements is a great feeling. You can move around to improve elements making them sustained, inconstant, varied, etc. Other coasters don't allow that. IK the community will smite me, but since the coaster has a figure eight twister layout, the restraints were perfectly executed to the layout's purpose, offering a little bit of every force + lats. If the restraint didn't focus pressure on one small area you're removing a HUGE part of the coaster that's extraordinary. It's gotten to the point where it's impossible for me to compare skyrush to other coasters. With that being said, coaster is still great riding normally.
I went in expecting terrible thigh pain but came out with a new #1 coaster beating Velocicoaster, Steel Vengeance, and El Toro
More than worthy of that #1 spot!
I have too much fun to notice the crushing on this I’ve had it happen twice but I let it slide
As you should 😎
Best ride
It’s so good
Ive ridden bigger faster steeper rollers coasters.... but Skyrush feels like some one watched the fight between Goku and frieza and said... I wonder wat that would be like to ride that ?
