I would like a frog *not for sexual reasons*
Why was that clarification needed? What the hell are y’all doing with your frogs?!
I'm *scared* to find out
It was a copypasta
Lmao that's something I would say
Alex: I'm not gonna tell you what animal I fear.
Also Alex 5 min later: -Gives it out himself with just a reaction-
Spooders
I guessed crickets
@@Akakko1 I actually guessed spiders at first too.
Froggo the Spogger (Frog Spider)
Judging from the last reaction I think we know what creature wigs him out lol
NEMATODES 🤣
Er.. the slide before the last one with the parasites in the frogs nostrils.. hehe Or bats? Birds? Inquiring minds must know!!
Spidees
To be fair, spiders are the fucking worst

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, SPIDERS! The answer to Alex’s phobia is spiders
i was thinking crested geckos 😂
Yeah I figured after the last image lol
i was thinking dogs cuz of how much he hates em lol
@@pinkpusheenpaws I would like to see dogs crawling on the walls.
Yeah, but please in the name of geckos do not torture him with any spider pictures. I've tried to cure my spider phobia by looking at pictures of them and that actually has made it even worse
Do hours of research before you buy any sort of living thing! And sit on the idea for at least a week, more is better. Any animal no matter how small deserves proper care and love.
I will confess i did not to hours of research to care for my cactus
@@mental_breakdance7227 sorry for ur loss
@Valentine ngl I prefer to buy animals on a whim. It's more fun to be unprepared. You can always research later.
@@SamsExotics are- are you trolling or?
People raise kids without research easily enough. Some are crap at it .
No amount of research will help some people. Especially research done on pet tube. Nobody agrees and everyone becomes a herpetologist after graduating from a corn snake to a royal python.
Healthy is healthy regardless of aesthetics.
Dear God the last few made my skin crawl, absolutely cursed.
apparently there are food-safe soaps you can use to clean salads, but I've never heard of any non-chemical-based soap that makes bubbles, and even if there is - "food-safe" doesn't mean it's good for amphibians
Yeah you can get salad wash and we also use it to wash eggs for sale as it is food safe but hell no I wouldn't want an amphibian drinking that shit through their skin as I wouldn't drink a gallon of it either regardless
i think imma stick with water
@@GoHerping the aggressive f**k you at the end was amazing 😂
dawn advertised their soaps as animal friendly. still wouldn't use it for an amphibian, but they washed seagulls after various oil spills
@@armedlorax7301 dawn may be animal friendly, but as far as I'm aware it's still got chemicals in it - chemicals that *probably* won't burn an animal's skin, but I'm sure it would cause some bit of harm if they drank the water they were bathing in (which is pretty much what amphibians do)
r/frogs is a wonderful community! They were extremely supportive and kind when my frog Lemony passed away. However yeah there are a fair share of horrible people on there that have no clue what they're doing and it's so sad.
Same is to be said with every reptile Reddit community, it’s depressing to say the least 😔
@@coolvibes8819 very true and yes it's depressing. I'm on most the reptile/amphibian communities on Reddit and I try to give good advice when I can. However, it's often ignored and I get fed up with the amount of stupid people.
@@snakeluvr1395 I kind of stopped trusting advice on Reddit a long time ago because My first bearded dragon (as seen in my profile picture) got impacted because somebody on r/BeardedDragons told me Calcium Sand was the best substrate for dragons. We got him surgery and he’s doing fine now.
I can tell good advice from bad though because now I’m not a clueless beginner
@@coolvibes8819 oh that's horrid. The good thing now is that pretty much every good user on Reddit in the reptile communities knows that's a big no-no. I'm so glad your baby is okay now.
hey!! i saw your posts about lemony and felt so bad when he passed :( i hope you’re doing well!
If you really NEEEEED to specify you want a frog FOR NON-SEXUAL PURPOSES….. TWICE…..

“A toad which is not a frog”
All toads are frogs but not all frogs are toads.
I'm glad someone said it
Maggots are my Kryptonite, which sucks more because I am a Vet Tech and come into contact with them more than I would like. Ticks bother me as well, but I had an unfortunate situation as a child when I went camping with a church Youth Group. (Ticks. Everywhere. Everyone. 🤮🤢)
Oh yeah, maggots ... i once had one on my hand while i was working in the garden without realizing it and just had a strange uncomfortable feeling like some stinning. You can really feel how these bugs want to eat you xx.
Gave it straight to my chicken, sorry not sorry xP.
Maggots are little baby flies, it’s okay.
@@GG-kn2se Y-yea but they freaks me out. I don't have any phobias of them but the way the move and crawl- And the thought that they could get into you and eat you from the inside is horrifying
I went to college for Animal Care but couldn't go into vet tech because I can't do puss, maggots or blood (I pass out from the latter). It's unfortunate, but I stick to animals with small injuries or just taking care of ones with none at all. Good on you for keeping with that job (ticks, flea infestation I can't handle that either. I get itchy just thinking about it).
I used to volunteer at a vet clinic near Puyallup WA. A lady brought in her Tom cat because he had been missing for a month and when he came home had an enormous wound to his back right leg. It was so foul you could smell it from across the room. Maggots, pus and rot so disgusting. I helped the tech and vet sterilize the surgery room and set up supplies and in return I got to watch. That cat left without his balls (per owners request fir a nueter) and 4 drain tube. His leg looked like patchwork and I was so impressed by how easy the vet made it look! BTW cleaning that wound looked narly. Cat definitely felt that when he woke up.
Alex: I'm not gonna tell you which animal I fear
Alex when he saw the spider: No no god please no noooooooooooo
I'm pretty sure the animal Alex is scared of is spiders 🤫😅🤣
but i can’t even say anything because i am too 🥲

Seems oddly specific
If they have to try convince us THAT much that it's not for those reasons, it probably is 😥
What are you talking about? He said it’s *NOT* for sexual reasons so it’s all good
it's prolly copypasta
The way you freaked out on the last one gave me a mini heart attack lol

Starting at frogs and ending up at age regression. The Internet is a wonderful place
it happens
@@GoHerping age regression is a traumatic response from children being forced to grow up and parent the parent. when they get older, they feel like they never had a childhood which also makes relating to others extremely hard, and they find themselves acting like a child as an adult since they couldn't before. speaking from experience and thought you'd like to know!

I have a phobia of raccoons. 😬 I witnessed raccoons kill my kitten when I was 4 years old and it scarred me for life.😭 I hate their little hands.
Aw rip. At least there aren't any in the UK.
Raccoons are only natural predators though, it's sad but you can't hate em for it. All you can do is not let a cat be near a raccoon.
Their hands are so cute though
Love this series. Terrible to see the condition of these animals, but these videos are well done
I’m about to do a deep dive of Alex’s channels and social media profiles just to find out what animal he fears. I won’t do anything with it. But I’ll know. And that’s enough.
Edit: upon seeing 8:54 im guessing it’s spiders LMAO
literally nobody knows because it is my actual kryptonite
Based on his reaction to the last photo I wonder if it’s related to arachnophobia
@@GoHerping I will know.
@@upbeatchupacabra6302 If it's not spiders and seeing how he didn't like the last photo, it could be crabs or something with multiple legs similar to a spider. Though it's not my business if he doesn't want to share it, but still fun to try and guess lol
@@BooksToAshes or any other arachnid other than spiders. Scorpion's, centipedes or just all arachnids in general
that last frog would make a sick taxidermy LMAO I have two mummified frogs on a case that I found outside on the road when it was SUPER hot in summer, poor babies just fuckin deflated from the heat
Your reaction at the end mirrored my own.
That toad's poop was so gross to Alex that he'd much rather see a corpse
My partner and I got a bunny recently, and I gotta say, it's every bit of work we'd expected and then some.
We love caring after her but it's only after thinking about the worst case scenario and getting everything else ready that we acquired her, and I think it's basic ethical practice to be well-versed in pet care beforehand, running a realistic simulation of having a pet given your current lifestyle, and prepare extensively for what may change.
How do I report a pet shop that is severly mistreating and abusing their reptiles and other animals?
To be honest I was relieved to find out you weren’t an NFT head
i think the tech behind ntfs has great potential, but the jpegs dont even deserve a right click
Nft
I just discovered your channel a couple weeks ago. I binge watched all the newer stuff and I click on the old reptile vids as they are recommended to me. I usually just like the way you explain stuff. But this video... I wasn't prepared... Why?...Why you do this? My skin is crawling off my body.😫
Wait Alex handles these nightmare creatures but is afraid of spiders? What a world.
1:45 this shot is framed like an NFT.
I came across a few older toads with maggots in their nostrils and I have to say it looks more disgusting IRL than in the photo. The worst thing is that the toads don't even seem bothered by the maggots.
The picture he showed got me fucked up. I need brain bleach.
Why has there never been an update on Arnold the Chameleon? There have been several requests for months but they have all gone unanswered?
Shoutout to your editor for adding Twin Peaks music at 8:27 🙏
As a new pacman frog owner this makes me mad
Thanks for these awesome videos! They tell me what NOT to do (even though most of it is just plain common sense) I like how you call out the people who are on the verge of plain animal abuse.
Buying a frog to get rid of fruit flies? Does that person not have a vacuum cleaner?
"Where can I buy a frog? (Not for sexual reasons.)"
...I guarantee it's totally for sexual reasons.
Alex making his way to the age regression subreddit on accident fucking killed me.
The frog eating a spider is pretty badass tho ngl
Oh lordy, why didn't you blur the fly strike?! Why! Good news everyone with pet frogs, if this happens, you can treat it and save them via manual removal, but OMG I did not need those memories to come back.
I'm guessing here that spiders are Alex's "nope" animals.
Haven’t seen it yet but I hope there’s an inclusion of the people that knowingly handle them bare handed just because they want to feel them in their hands, and hurt them because of it
I wet my hands, is that enough? (only handle wild frogs every few months for pictures and data) Or would I need gloves?
I always catch toads with my bare hands, they don't care
@@neonice if there true toads its not as bad
But they do care its not good for there health and stress long term
@@maximus9296 It would probably be good if it caused them to breed less or smth because they eat all the frogs, viscous beasts
@@aldranzam3456 Wetting your hands should be sufficient when handling wild frogs as you're likely the only person to handle them in their entire lifespan. It would still be ideal to wear gloves though. While keeping pet frogs it is preferable to wear gloves because you'd be repeatedly exposing them to the oils on yours hands and any soaps/lotions/etc whenever you pick them up and can cause damage to their slime coat.
I found a frog in our sewer well and we had no clue he was in the well, I’m shocked he lived for so long with my grandmother throwing bleach and fabric softener and soap in the well to make it not smell as bad (she didn’t know that the frog was in there at the time she was dumped products down the well) I did everything I could to get the frog out of the well, he out of the well now and I put him in the pond by a Church, he was so thin, not sure if he’s still alive but hopefully he is alive and doesn’t end up in another sewer well😅😅🥲🥲😂😂😕
I’m an Orthodox Jew and we use produce soap to remove insects since insects aren’t kosher. Some things can be checked for bugs but things like lettuce it’s time consuming to do a thorough search, so letting it sit in the soap and then checking the (well rinsed) leaves is way easier. But I’m not seeing the logic of putting your pet in the same liquid you’re using to kill something else.
I've put lettuce and bok choy from my garden in slightly soapy water for a few minutes to get aphids off because you can't rinse them off with plain water (1 drop of dish soap in a large bowl of water) and it tastes fine. But they probably got their lettuce from a grocery store so they were soaking both the frog and the lettuce for no reason...
I have a phobia of frogs/toads too. I freak out when they are close to me. I don't hate them though. I actually think they are cute so I wish I could get over my phobia but it's so hard to do 😭
My phobia creature is the potato bug/Jerusalem Cricket. You could legit rob me with one of those things.
Those last two pictures were horrifying. Glad that the ones that were blurred were unseeable, as they were apparently worse than the ones that were shown.
0:20 huh? Did he just say a Toad isn't a frog?... Toads are definitely frogs 💀💀💀💀
all toads are frogs, but not all frogs are toads.
@@OoO7w7 exactly
the last one is terrifying as crap
To be fair they probably have vegetable soap which is safe to eat but is like a minor bacteriacide. I can’t tell if the first toad is alive or not but having soap on the salad isn’t tooooo weird
Oh god the moldy cheese nft was foreshadowing for the geckos
couldn’t figure out the music @ 3 mins and it was driving me crazy… and then i got it.. persona.. relief
It's okay, I hate spiders too. They give me panic attacks.
Just started watching and already regret asking if you can do frogs, sometimes people shouldn’t own animals
I'm not against getting a frog to deal with your insect problem if the conditions are right but my mother is scared of the frogs that live in the bathroom. They eat the centipedes though. House geckoes are also great pest control but they can also be noise and poop everywhere.
Ok
The P5 music is a great touch
that last post looks like concept art for a horror game monster
My therapist: Mummified spider-frog isn't real, it can't hurt you.
Mummified spider-frog:
I figured it out. He's scared of spiders. OOGA BOOGA SPINDER MAN
That subreddit has some very bizarre content... Some very odd art. But some cute frogs from time to time.
Is it wasps and hornets? I’m terrified of wasps and hornets. I have held spiders and swam with sharks and loved it. But wasps and hornets are my mortal enemy and I don’t want them to exist anymore.
If you wash your vegetables you should use salt not soap LOL
It kills most things on it and it's food safe and doesn't really "stain" the food with its taste, it can, but generally you can rinse salt water right off most fruits and veggies especially if the foods aren't cut open beforehand, if it does a bit it doesn't completely ruin the food
I grew up in a household with parents obsessed with cleanliness and minimalism. I still managed to get fleas after a hiking trip, it happens.
Also I hated looking at these too, watching this was mistake, grateful for the blur but I can't stand that last one.
wow that one post about the person finding the perfect frog for them was certainly... interesting
I have a question. Has emerald scales ever received emerald tree boas or emerald tree skinks ( or whatever tf their name is) or just any animal with emerald scales
There was one video where he got these tiny insect-eating green snakes. Everyone in the comments was like "Now those are some Emereald Scales"
Was that music from Twin Peaks? Unexpected.
The last one was pure hell
How do i know if my snake doesn't have mites anymore and is clear of mites ?

WHY THE FLYING FRUCK DID YOU SHOW US THAT TOAD with eggs in it's nostrils!?!? I would report and block but I'm dead 🤮🤮
Made my brain almost crawl out of my ear, it was so disturbing 😅
I'm terrified of maggots and this, this will forever scar my for life. So thanks for the video, I hated it.
don’t forget that NFTs actively damage the planet in their creation.
although funny monkey jpegs are dumb, the environmental arguments aren't really fair since all technology creates tons of emissions. youtube alone generates 10,000,000 metric tons of carbon a year
@@GoHerping absolutely! however, i truly believe creating pointless emissions just for the sake of a single image that you ‘own’ is absolutely ridiculous. the other uses for technology are necessary evils, while this one isn’t. the issue also isn’t just the emissions alone, it’s also incredibly wasteful due to the amount of energy required to create, bid on, and sell these images. overall, the cost is too high for a single picture.
