  • It’s all in the title, 1 month, 4 weeks, $400 TTD, which is approximately $58 USD. Can we really survive in Trinidad and Tobago with these funds for the month, and by surviving we are referring to food only and does not include gas and other cost of living expenses. Also, we are only buying these food items in the grocery and each week, we'll visit a new grocery and see if we can get a fixed list of items for under $100 at each.
    So join me my Trinbago Vibes peeps as we explore this concept of feeding myself each week, well basically $100 TTD per week for 4 weeks and in this one we dive into the first two weeks.
    Also big shoutout to SupaKool Limited, located on the Naparima Mayaro Road in Cocoyea village, San Fernando, for sponsoring this video, check them for all your air-conditioning needs

    This is a very interesting challenge but, boy oh boy, that diet is what nightmares are made of. Seeing this video endorses my opinion about the importance and usefulness of a small kitchen garden; being able to go outside and pick a cucumber, tomato, sweet pepper, eggplant, hot pepper and fresh herbs from plants that can grow easily on a fence and in a few pots - FREE!

    31 days × 3 meals per day = 93 meals in $400. Roughly $4.25 per meal. Right off the bat the man needs to cook because not even a doubles cost so little. I am trying to figure out why you didn’t use seasoning. Don’t you have a small kitchen garden at least?I find it hard to believe that your wife is eating good tasty food in your presence and you are living like a bachelor who is not from trinbago cooking food without seasonings and much colour. You should have started the challenge with a weigh in and ended with the same so we could see what effect these meals would have. When I was a very low income earner, my go to meals were pasta and tuna and various sandwiches.

    • @TrinbagoVibes
      @TrinbagoVibes  Před 11 měsíci

      Now started the small kitchen garden, lost some tomatoes to nemotodes and well the shadon beni now started to grow as well as the chives…so I went with the basic salt, onions and garlic, but yeah she was eating the good stuff and was feeling sorry for me. Never thought about starting with a weight in, that’s a good idea
