X, better known as Sonic.exe, is the titular main antagonist of JoeDoughBoi's 2023 remake of the original Sonic.exe game, now known as SONIC 2011. This game has the intent of being as accurate as possible to the original story, but this does not mean both incarnations of X are the same character. He is voiced by DylanZeMuffin who also voiced Armadonix. Being a reboot of the original canon, he replaced the original Sonic.exe and is now considered the original version of the character.

This fun demo seemingly has a massive impact already despite having 2 songs. This mod (actually called Sonic Legacy due to menu change) as well as Sonic.exe Rerun are the only Sonic.exe mods that I know I'm excited for due to what this community has done. BTW, the first half of Obituary is AI sung because the voice actor believed it would be better as he couldn't do the lyrics justice.
EDIT: RedTv from Mario's Madness voiced the shady figure in that weird menu. That's 2 times now his voice acting skills go above and beyond more mods need him to do their voice acting.
LandyRS was the one who did the voiced acting and lyrics for Sonic in Obituary. He does Sonic comic dubs with Adrenaline Dubs!
Its not ai sung. Its a person (Sturm) using an AI autotune-type thing. The entire thing is still sung by a human, it’s just modified to sound like Sonic using AI rather than doing a Sonic impression. Also, the AI voice changer is sampled from another composer of the song.
For clarification: Sturm sung the lyrics using an AI autotune trained off of LandyRS' Sonic voice *with permission.* Finally, ethical AI usage.
But which Sonic was the impostor....was it Sonic.exe....or just regular Sonic??
They are called "X" or "2011 X", the exe that will be called "lord X" in the future.
So, regular sonic didn't even appear here.

not sure if you know or not but this could be technically considered an official revival of the original Vs EXE mod!! Hopefully this mod doesn’t go through any drama like the original but i highly doubt that it will as all the members i’ve seen on the team are all really good people :33

The only official Sonic.exes are *2011X* (original Sonic.EXE), *2017X* (remake of the 2017 sonic.exe creepypasta) and *Xenophanes* .
In total, round 1 and round 2 of 2011 are not official, (yes, everyone was fooled) there was supposed to be a real Sonic.exe game by JC Hyena, but it became lost media.
Speaking of *JC Hyena*, with him being exposed in the past years, now *JoeDoe* (one of the creators of the mod) will be responsible for the image of Sonic.exe from now on and any old work by JC has been discarded (and Raven will be responsible for the remake of 2017X, Xenophanes continues with Astral).
Interesting Fact: *Faker* and *EXE* are official characters from the world of *2011X.* But *Lord X* remains unofficial, just an alternative version of JoeDoe.
