Why do you think free speech is being stifled on campus?

Because they want to brainwash us into the new normal, new science, history, crt BLM make us whites feel guilty, so when they bring in more immigration they want us to feel guilty and shut up 🤫

I really do not know why, but most of the education facilities now seems to be controlled by a hard left woke narrative. It's time now that this is stamped out so regulation will be most welcome. If I were young enough now to have a teenager son or daughter that was thinking of trying to get a place in a Uni I would go out my way to stop them and push them more towards skilled trade work /apprenticeships.

Because of the power of the NUS. Students Unions are the only union which you don't have a choice about joining - everyone starting a Uni course is allocated a SU membership number and sent the SU welcome pack.

Imagine how safe students at university in Ukraine feel....that is the true definition of unsafe.

Presumably the next step is to look at libraries within unis and to remove certain books whose authors are deemed not to fit a set criteria.
    Or has it already started?

If a student is not learning about life and all it’s knowledge information and opinions accumulated over decades what is the point of being a student ?
Save your money and read books, listen to people and ask questions

Yes indeed otherwise all universities become giant echo chambers of one train of thought & opinion.

They are not colleges, they are indoctrination centres. They are told what to think, not how to think.

How can freedom of speech be stifled when you didn’t have it to begin with? I think you mean more speech has been stifled than was stifled before.

New ideas can be good, and discussion about those ideas could be commendable, but then you cross a line. The biblical ceation was once taught in schools and then day came when someone suggested you need to have a different view taught also.. now only evolution is taught in schools even though science cannot prove it's validity, but try and get a different point of view taught in schools now, such as Creation again. Not a chance, even though large numbers of people don't believe the evolution case. Differences in opinion is good, but we all know that at some point opinion's will be forced on you whether you believe it or not, because its those who have the power that try and give you your opinions. I think freedom of speech is no more.
