- In today's video, I'm doing a challenge inspired by the one and only @GeoWizard, in which I play the Geoguessr world map until I get a round that is in an exact place I've been in real life. Let's see how long it takes me to find such a place!

As someone from Slovakia, taking the train through Žilina is almost 100% if there was no bus-taking in the journey. Even just for Nitra - Banská Bystrica sometimes its faster to go through Žilina, the trains are just terrible in that area, everyone just takes the long distance bus.
That is our average East European experience my Slovak friend. Nech sa darí!

@@zi8gzag Oh, if you was travelling by a train, then it´s high probability you traveled through Žilina, like 99% - if you can´t recall some slow-ish way through some forests, then it´s 100%. While there are other directions available, this is the most common, fastest and most comfortable. Way through Handlová-Martin is not really frequent (and fastest would be to take some bus). You probably traveled ´back´ to Trnava and switched to direct train to Poprad.
If you travelled solely by train (no bus) you most likely went through Žilina. I checked a slovak timetable app and all the recommended train routes (without involving a bus) went through Žilina.

There is no direct train connection from Banska Bystrica to Poprad, so you probably took the route through Trencin & Zilina. In which case you would've been ~250m from that E50 location.
If you have location turned on and Google maps then it'll track your movement in your timeline. It would be nice if we could use that to compare against your GeoGuessr locations and have it display a message that you've been at or near this location before.
At 18:02 I have been on that road. Crazy that I found it faster in your video than you. GGs

Just went to try this out for myself and got one on the second round??? I got the E6 in Norway, which I drove a substantial length of during a road trip in 2017. Definitely would have gone past this particular stretch since it was just outside Trondheim, though there is a decent chance I was asleep for it. Absolutely crazy luck.

What both you and Geowizard miss from these, is that it's fun for viewers to compete, so showing quick screens of all the locations instead of skipping would have been fun. Still good to watch though!

Would love a part 2 absolutely. I remember one time I ran into a place I had been to in real life on GeoGuessr, pretty funny and epic.
I think for this sort of rounds, you should definitely narrow down on an Urban map of European or American cities or something like that. Because the fun of these rounds is finding places you’ve been to or getting close to them rather than recognizing where it is.
On a side note, I actually got downtown Monaco once, a place I haven’t been to yet but, because of the Formula One circuit I know some of the roads well, and I was able to get a 5K.
:-o I've been to Naracoorte! I think there are cave pictures in a family album somewhere. I didn't realize that was in SA, I lived in Vic (Doncaster) when I was a baby but have lived in New England in the US since 1986.
I did the challenge after I saw Geowizards video, used my countries map because I'm on the free tier and before the 15th round the main road of my hometown came up.
I haven't traveled outside of NZ, Australia, and the USA, so I didn't try my luck on the world map. Even with extensive travel all over New Zealand my whole life, it still took me 35 rounds on the NZ map before I KNEW for certain that I'd been to the exact location in the Geoguessr round!
As an Adelaidian I was pretty surprised by the number of SA rounds you got so early. I have been on that stretch of Main Rd, but probably just driving through, and then Salisbury... my street is pretty close to that, but there I hadn't been on that particular side street but it was instantly recognisable as Salisbury :) Cool video and much better locations than a random motorway ;)
Not only have I been to that Melbourne location, I could drive there in 10 minutes or so haha

Im from Slovakia and when you go from Bratislava to Poprad you go around Trencin and Zilina so yeah it pretty possible you been around there
did the same, took me 346 rounds...only one of them was in Switzerland (my country), felt like 1/5th of them were US and the round I've been in was in NZ xD

GeoWizard launched a new boom. At least TrulyBuzzy has made this kind of a video too. I have also heard that some of my friends have tried that, but without video recording. Maybe I should do this too, but it will take a long time because I have been outside of Europe only twice.

I think that is the route you would have travelled, as long as you took the train from Nitra to Bratislava first and then to Poprad.
i did this challenge as well, and ended up ending on a US highway between my city and the next city over, which ive driven multiple times. I didn't recognize it though, because it looks so generic. Kinda a disappointing way to go. Despite having traveled the world a bit, it was on my 171st round. I had two close ones in Singapore and also one near the shinkansen line in nagoya, where i would have ridden from Kyoto to Tokyo.
I tried this today and got a hit after 20 tries(!); the road just outside Oslo Airport parking lot
I think the "exact location" is too strict a condition. I think the city proper (as in Osaka) would qualify.
