    A lot of people in this country will get hurt and maybe the billionaires who own the competition is happy but they are just as bad at causing harm. Sounds like a bad idea.

    Enjoyed this informative interview Ms/Mrs Jackson! Hope to see more from you on Forbes. Seems there are pitfalls looming either way with the banning or sell of Tik Tok. It will be interesting to see how this plays out…

    This will hurt little people. It's going to help the oligarchy. Everything on every server is vulnerable to the Chinese one way or another. Not to mention other parties. There are bigger threats that come or could come from China than Tik Tok

    • @LiberRaider
      @LiberRaider Před měsícem +1

      I agree there’s obviously bigger threats, but don’t you think the fact it’s not available in China is a bad sign?

      @@LiberRaiderit's the American version that's not allowed in China. There's a lot of stuff not allowed in China. Most of our internet is not available in China without a VPN. China is a big threat to the world for so many reasons. TikTok not being one of them. Honestly I really don't care because I've never downloaded Tik Tok and I never would I never would use it or make content for it. So this affects me zero. But I do think that it will affect some content creators who have come to rely on the cash flow. And it benefits our big boys who have one less competitor.

      I see where you're coming from. From my POV, since China has no real private property right and they're so experienced at electronic espionage, it's a legitimate concern. Hopefully we see some anti trust wins in court vs US big tech soon too

    Does TicTok follow USA labor laws? I don’t think so, based on what I’ve heard. This should be investigated, and labor laws should be enforced for USA based TikTok employees.

    😂it just means that foreign companies (beholden to the CCP) cant own any part of it. The first amendment, and the constitution as a whole does not apply to Chinese corporations. They could restructure it today with domestic investors and not have any problems. This is not a first amendment problem.

    • @ariessun7273
      @ariessun7273 Před měsícem

      its not that it applies to them. it applies to us. this is an attempt to monopolies the narrative. that's what the other part of the bill does they can cut off the internet from countries so we cant see what's actually happening. that's an assault on the freedom of information act. and on the first amendment.

    I hope they ban TikTok and any other social media that is showing children graphic content and exposing them to potential predators. Children are vulnerable because they have not yet been exposed to the evils of this world. Children struggle understanding death let alone people who would cause it upon them. It’s also too stressful for them. It’s like any other substance abuse.

    Did the Tik Tok users ever think about how there are no free voices (opinions) in China but yet they owned one of the largest social media platforms? Probably not, thinking and doing research is not a Tik Tok users "thing".

      obviously we don't have free speech neither they way they dogging the protesters who are protesting another nation who also doesn't have free speech. their about to take out all other media except the ones that repeat the narrative so now we don't have free press or free speech. and all this to cover up another countries genocide

    I'll be using Fanbase. It's an American owned version of Tik-Tok. I don't understand why we think we need a foreign company for our entertainment when we're fully capable of producing an equal or better one ourselves

      We enjoyed vine not because it was vine, but because the time period in which it was out just wasn’t as painfully stupid and cringy. Tik tok is a cesspool. I had it downloaded for a few days about a year ago and almost went clinically insane.
