  • Get ready to learn about the Surprising Impact of End Restraints on Steel Beam Strength. As structural engineers, we know that designing steel members requires a thorough understanding of various factors that can impact their behaviour & strength. In this video, we'll explore the crucial role that end restraints play in steel beam design and how they can prevent failure caused by lateral torsional buckling & eccentric loading. We'll also cover the different types of beam failure & why it's important to consider them in the design process. Don't miss this in-depth look at the importance of end restraints in steel beam design.

Great video. Can you please do a video on stabilising and de-stabilising loads giving examples. (e.g. Beam supporting a masonry wall on the top flange).

Sure, I can definitely make a video about stabilizing & destabilizing loads. Giving examples such as a beam supporting a masonry wall on the top flange would be a great way to explain the concepts. I'll make sure to include that in the video. Thanks for the suggestion!
