- Just had something on my heart this afternoon, while I’m working on writing out all of the arrangements for Hymns for Beginners, Level 3! These lyrics have ministered to me so much this afternoon, so I wanted to share what the Lord has been speaking to me. 💗

A Scottish preacher spoke at my elementary age Bible camp in the 1960s. He taught us the song: Cheer up ye saints of god, there’s nothing to worry about (‘aboot’), nothing to make you feel afraid, nothing to make you doubt (‘Dout’) - Remember Jesus never fails, so why not trust him and shout (‘shouot’), you’ll be sorry you worried at all tomorrow morning.
A little ditty made all the more memorable by his brogue. But it comes to me - and blesses me from time to time.
Oh Natalie, thank you for these winderful words of encouragement. When I went through a very difficult time, I made a covenant with God that I would continue to praise Him no matter how I felt, even if I had to sing through floods of tears that is what I did. God brought me through victoriously. I would encourage anyone else to do the same. God sees and counts every one of our tears. We may not understand at the time, but God is faithful and He will see us through because He is a God who will not lie to us. God continue to use you in your music ministry. So lovely to hear this song again, they are not sung very often nowerdays. Blessings to you Josh and the family from England....xx

Hallelujah Natalie! It's like you were reading words straight from my heart. I've been going through long seasons of testing and trials and God has given me songs throughout. There are songs to mark different seasons and tests and I have more joy than ever before.
Giving God a sacrifice of praise in the midst of trial might sound difficult, but if we continually ask God to fill us with His Spirit, worship becomes a part of us, even in the night seasons.
I have a keyboard that is currently collecting dust because I am so tired all the time from my trials...I still sing with a tired voice...but you inspire me that one day, the refining process will be over, and I will play skillfully like you. Thank you and God bless you!

Just returned to Wisconsin from helping my son’s family move from Colorado Springs to Great Falls, MT at midnight and although it’s 1:30 AM and I have to be to work in 3.5 hours I had to check and see if you put on anything new and was pleasantly surprised that you had!

I love this song. It is one of the old time favorites that's hardly ever sung. I love the way you play it. beautiful.
I looked up this song because it is one our family would sing together with our various instruments. One by one, the children grew up and left. My husband's health began declining shortly afterward and he could no longer sing or play his instruments. Fifteen years ago tomorrow, the Lord called him home. The music he is experiencing is amazing. Tonight, I'm remembering with thankfulness the 37 years the Lord gave us together, but also sadness, as I miss him so much. This song was so meaningful to us.

God truly does give songs in the night - experienced that the year after my husband died some years ago. Now He gives songs during the day - at the moment replaying many of your songs in the car, being blessed by not only music given to you by God to bless others - but He also allows you to couple the music with truths from His Word. Very uplifting and touching and encouraging to me. Love your heart and thankful God has given you a heart for Him

Beautiful, you ministered to me this morning. In this season of my life the Lord God Jehovah has given me a song, Great is thy Faithfulness! There’s so many things going on now from death, grief and physical pain affecting my hands so I can’t play my guitar, but I am waiting for deliverance. Thanks for the music.

This is such a blessing to me today. Our family is walking through firey trials now. It actually seems like movement has stopped and we are in limbo while it rages around us...BUT GOD must be working in the unseen. I believe that He is with us and is making a way that will be better than I could ever imagine. Thank you for this.

We must never pray for God to deliver us from trials, but that He would keep us through them. David's wonderful Psalms weren't written in the splendour of his palace but in smelly dirty caves as he trusted God to keep him as Saul spent over thirty years trying to kill him. We learn more faith in deep waters than we do on calm seas. Thank you for this, Natalie; we are all in awe of your prodigious piano talent, but we all rejoice at your love of the words of these great hymns of the faith. Thank God for the internet; these hymns are now preserved forever for generations to enjoy, and be blessed

If you had a singer to complement the piano, you would be a box office hit. The melody is super, but if we don’t know the lyrics how can we sing along when we need the presence of God ?

Amen! One of my favorite hymns to play. And so true. God gave me an understanding this past Christmas of the role He has given His children in music. The angels on the hillside SPOKE Glory to God in the Highest and on earth peace, good will to men. Why didn't they sing? In Revelation, the only song sung in heaven were by the redeemed. Satan was the worshipper in heaven and a third of the angels were given to him to perform his duties. The Hebrew word used for his position was a bezel, which holds a watch crystal in place. He was to surround and protect the throne with worship, which he desired for himself. (See Is. 14 and Ezek. 28) Revelation says that Michael and his angels fought against Satan and his angels. A third of the angels fell with him and are held in chains until the day of judgment. There were three archangels:: Lucifer the worshipper, Michael the warrior, and Gabriel the messenger. It was Gabriel who appeared to Mary, and it was Gabriel who appeared to Zacharias. He was delivering a message. And the message that was declared to the shepherds was accompanied by his angels declaring the worth of God. They weren't created to sing, they were created to delver messages. But God had something else intended. God created a man, knowing that he would sin, and in eternity past, Jesus Christ had determined to purchase them to God by His blood. God has placed within men the capacity to sing and make melody. Even if people can't sing in tune, God is not judging us on our sounds as much as He listens to our hearts. And as Satan has perverted music and worship for himself, God has a people that will never desire the worship for themselves, because they know they could never be there to worship and surround and protect the throne of God except by the blood who loved us and redeemed us. Yes, God gives a song and it is purified in the times of great sorrows. Thank you for sharing.
