    Thank you so much, I have been suffering with endometriosis, adenomyosis, and consequently PFD which has caused issues in my sacroiliac joint. I am currently undergoing an intense physical therapy program with recently added tri-monthly botox injections intravaginally to help the physical therapy process along. I have been using intravaginal valium as well and I am one of the patients you mentioned whose tension does not do well with kegels (it makes my symptoms worse) and I do the pelvic drop exercise three times a day/as needed and I am thankful for your comfortable guidance and clear instructions. Sometimes after being in PT so long one can forget aspects of an exercise and it's been a year since my last surgery and I have been in pelvic floor PT for PFD having seen three therapists so far. Anyway, long story aside, thank you for sharing your expertise so that people can have access to proper instruction for helping to release trigger points and proper biomechanics. Thank you so much!

    You visualize everything so good for me. It's always spot on what I experience with my huge urinate retention problem.
    Do you have a video like this ment for man ? I don't know if it works the same for us guys. I really need your help. You are the light in my dark moments these days. I need to be able to pee so I don't need a life long catheter. I just need to make it work.
    In my experience I open it up but nothing want to come out when I do it. The moment the urinate feeling comes up it mostly goes like this ' up and down up and down up and down up and down' and then my muscles start cramping. Like it's fighting against everything to stop it.
    Are you suppose to be able to pee without that 'pee signal' feeling? I find it such an impossible job to figure things out while I work so extremely hard on it together with my boyfriend. We spend day and night working on it and with minimal progress. Its so frustrating.

    I had bladder surgery a few weeks ago... and the imagery you gave to relax that very tense portion of my body (obviously I am not a candidate for any type of pushing), helped very much so to relax my pelvic floor. That area has been so tight, that it has often made my bladder spasms worse. Are there other safe ways for someone with somewhat recent surgery/interstitial cystitis to relax that area? Thank you

Am I gripping my pelvic floor too much for a man? Do I need to engage the pelvic floor for tva activation. I am worried it is causing tension.for a man, I feel the pelvic floor shaking when pulling up, is that a sign of weakness?

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  Před 7 lety +2

      Hi Bree! Yes, relaxation (in general) is very conducive to improving colon motility. Inducing the parasympathetic response (such as this technique can help with) promotes "rest and digest" and can help move things along if you're having issues with slow motility. It can also help soothe and calm things down if you're having issues with excess motility/diarrhea.

I do have a gyno appt. in 5 days but i NEED some relief now. My question is how can you tell if your pelvic pain is due to tight or weak muscles? If i do the drop exercise will it make my prolapse worse by making my muscles too loose? Will it make my uterus drop even farther? Hello! Have you ever heard of someone with hypertonic PF muscles who doesn’t have pain and only occasional mild leakage? My orgasms/contractions have been so weak the last 4 years and my hormones are fine and I’m fit, healthy and have exercised for 25+ years. I went to PT for biofeedback 4 years ago and she told me i had a “Type A” /stressed PF and just had me do kegals. It helped improve for a bit (at least via the biofeedback...I didn’t feel different) but then i stopped. I’m convinced it’s my desk job of 27+ years and my hour long commute twice a day. I feel like it has ruined my PF. I started walking over lunch and trying to move more at work but it doesn’t change anything. I’ve tried testosterone gel, reiki and acupuncture. I don’t have any pain so just curious if it could be a cause of my problem. I’m so frustrated because no one can help me.
