How is the egg head affected by headshots from a bow? Does the centipede take additional damage if it's shot compared to the egg? Does it become more or less vulnerable to headshot damage between the first and second stages of the infestation? Also, is there any chance it counts as a Chaos weapon and scales with Humanity? Sorry for all the additional questions. Thanks again for all your great work.

It's a shame they didn't do much with this concept, imagine if you could infect other players with it. There could be a whole new invasion type for Chaos Servants who aren't trying to kill you, just infect you.
You know, when I saw the power ring video was "testing something" I wasn't ready for nightmare egghead shenanigans.
You madman, you actually found a genuine use for it. You used Joel Haver's techniques really well too, though you beat up that sickly blind woman, so the Waifu Police are probably after you now. Best eat the egg so they can't ID your "face." Anyway, while on the subject of Dark Souls 1, I've always been curious about the finer details of the Divine and Occult weapons, and if they're even worthwhile. Also, across Demon's Souls to Bloodborne, what is the 69th boss in the game's coding and the 420th enemy? The world needs to know that tremendously useless data.
faith build here. Before I go into a big text, the TLDR Is: Use Divine on Skeleboys, use Occult on Gods, Silver/Black Knights, and ornstein.
The whole shtick between the two is occult is only good for gwyn's silver and blacj knights, ornstein, gwyn himself and gwyndolin but loses out on barely any damage, but divine is better all around as there are way more skeletons around, and usually have slightly higher attack rating. From what I know there isn't any hidden effects whatsoever.

@@ashenamber2305 Divine and Occult are hardly ever researched by the community. I think there may be several mysteries to be found, as well as an interesting niche for scaling (or at least humor in mocking them). A lot of DS 1 paths got widely ignored in favor of Chaos, +5 Elec, and +15, so I feel these two make for good subjects, as well as them being sides of the same coin, so to speak. Is there extra scaling for damage against skeletons/Nito, does Occult work on all Lord Soul bosses, etc. The modifiers sucking can be mocked too.
@@nightscout9979 There might be new. stuff to be found but with the game being a decade old later this year and faith builds being a main feature (keep in mind not everyone goes to the main physical builds that stack poise/heavy equipment) and not some niche thing, it would be hard to think there hasnt been anyone who has tried everything with the two different modifiers. Also no, occult doesnt work on all lord soul bosses from what I've found and its just the bosses I listed and maybe one or two I forgot about

What's really interesting is after the worm replaces your head you can still beat the game, which means your characters goals and motives are still carried out. Does the worm eat your brain and become you? Does the worm just happen to have the same goals as you? Do you become the worm? Have you always been a worm and the tumor just let you out?
I like to think the worm understands that the fire is what gave it life, so upon eating the knowledge of it, it gained the goal to preserve it. Whether that means the worm is you or just shares your views is up to opinion.

Joel Haver's influence is showing up all over the place, ever since watching his video covering his creation process I'm seeing it pop up all over the place. Pretty cool to see what kind of crazy cool stuff people come up with using it, can be some straight up nightmare fuel stuff but awesome nonetheless.
Honestly, one of the things I love about the first Dark Souls are all the random, obscure mechanics that have zero practical viability, and as such are never used outside of memeing around.
They're pointless, yes, but they also represent a level of care and detail. They had all these cool ideas and just stuck them in, even if they weren't good or didn't make sense. They experimented, which not many games do.
I think it's charming, personally.

Now I want to build an egghead character. I've gotten infected before, but had it cured before finding out about the spooky worm attack.
Same. I heard that it halves soul gain and got rid of it after unlocking the pyromancies.
My Egghead attack only run begins soon (least amount of bosses). Surprisingly, through testing, it seems iron golem will be the most difficult, not O&S.

hey old man did you know that eyes track certain characters in dark souls? figuring out how that works might be the most useless data of all time.
Was hoping that the weird poise break thing would be covered. I discovered this for myself in lost izalith just kinda screwing around with it by attacking the taurus demons with it. Sure enough, they got one hit staggered by it, which left me scratching my head really. I does so much poise damage for no particular reason.
Tldr: Worm has highest poise dps.

Bonus egg information: You can stack the dragon body buff with the egg head to make a baby dragon inside his egg. Get yourself infected then before you return to egg use the dragon body stone on yourself, you'll become an egg headed dragon. You can no longer use dragon abilities or any armor!

I remember my very first playthrough of Dark Souls 1. I was doing it co op with a mate (weâd summon each other for every fight) and I was infected in undead burg but an invader. Upon researching this, Iâve discovered it was likely a hacker. So my first run of this bloody game I got half the souls as my mate and we were struggling to stay within the summoning pool for ages to play together. It was a nightmare but wouldnât have traded it for another experience. Dark souls is now my favourite video game and Iâve finished it like a million times times since.
What black magic have you learned. My eyes are cursed, in the best way possible. Love these.
