Today, at the master class, we will create a decorative Easter egg.
A little history.
The egg is a traditional symbol of the renewal of life. In Orthodox Christianity, the egg symbolizes the symbolic image of the sepulcher of the Lord and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It was chosen as a significant item used at Easter to visually explain the essence of the holiday due to this interpretation of symbolism.
Eggs were originally dyed red. Later, the decoration of Easter eggs with patterns and ornaments began as a sign of the special joy of Christ's Resurrection and the divine beauty of the world.
During the reign of Catherine II, porcelain eggs were produced, which were given to the courtiers and those close to the Romanovs on the holiday.
During Nicholas I's reign, traditional porcelain Easter eggs became works of art.
Floral motifs, landscapes, copies of paintings, and the faces of saints were skillfully depicted in miniature eggs.
Porcelain eggs were lovingly collected and reverently preserved, passed down to their descendants.

What decorative techniques did I use?
Decoupage, working with dimensional elements, and painting with chalk paints.
As a result, the egg turned out to be very reminiscent of porcelain.
