Fuck man, I love the hardcore punk ska sound. They definitely need more recognition.
Discovered these guys on their spilt with the Dead Rejects. Don't think I've been this stoked on music since I first started listening to Choking Victim.

Does anyone else think it's weird that choking victim sparked a whole genre of music? I mean, they're up there with op-iv and sublime and mischief brew, all bands that influenced hundreds of bands to come and created a genre of their own and had so many homage bands all around the world. But I don't really see them get much respect from outside the crackrocksteady circle like the other acts I mentioned

I still have the first Folly demo song we recorded for them...might be the only copy. Maybe it was Straightfaced...I can't remember. I stumble across it now and then.

Hey Strrumz, how do you upload music without the content ID thing matching up?
The short answer is i don't. I've heard that some people have techniques like speeding it up or slowing it down or whatever to avoid detection but i just upload it as it is and see what happens haha. This album's already free to stream at positivejunk.bandcamp.com and only costs £2 to download (and if you're really broke you can download it pretty easily for free elsewhere, e.g. dumpstermusic.blogspot.fr/ ).
Also because i mostly upload music from smaller bands, a lot of them don't seem to have their stuff registered with contentID. I've only received copyright notices for 27 out of my total 106 uploads, and so far no one has actually acted upon them. And even if they do take it down, it's no skin off my back because i don't make any money from this channel and i've already bought the album myself (it'll just mean that much less exposure for them). In the event that does happen, it would be cool if they just messaged me asking me to delete it rather than reporting me though.
I only upload it in the first place because i enjoyed it too and want to share it... i don't know about anyone else but i discover lots of music via youtube, and also my first move when checking out new bands is to search for them on youtube, so i figured i'd put it up for others to discover (and buy! if they can/want).

I've always wanted to try to start a project musically. I mainly play bass but i also do acoustic guitar, piano, vocals, etc. Still, it is so hard to find the time and motivation to do it all myself. Sometimes I think i should get help and start a band but good creative help is hard to find these days and where i live.
Does anyone know where these guys are from? I heard they were Canadian. But one of the songs on the album is very definitely about fascism in the UK. They mention the BNP for example. The BNP being a British fascist organisation.
