You should use akadama soil specialized for growing bonsai. Fertilizers you should use phosphate and potassium fertilizers

NO! Do NOT depend on a specified period of time for watering your Bougainvillea. Your Bougainvillea's watering schedule will depend on your environment. Let the plant completely dry out, wait till she wilts slightly, then water until the water flows out the bottom of the pot. Then repeat. You will learn what your plant will need over time.

Bougainvillea plants are very healthy. Water it and maybe it will sprout new sprouts
