Paul Washer Leads a Dying Man to Christ in His FINAL HOURS!

- Paul Washer said, "What I want to encourage you to do is to go deep into the gospel, to drink it down deeply, to study it, to meditate upon it, to read good books with regard to the gospel and there are not many at least written in modern times. But it is more than just going out and handing out a tract. It is more than just going through a few little things. It is about sharing something that is become the thing in your life. And people know the difference. They know the difference.
Your eloquence, your brilliant mind will still betray you. They will know whether this really means something to you or not. You are to be witnesses.
Now, we are not only witnesses with our life. We are witnesses with our mouth. If Jesus had only lived a good life, if Jesus had only healed people, he would have never been crucified. He would have never been rejected. Jesus did not get in trouble until he opened up his mouth.
It is the same with us. We are to be witnesses. We are to speak. Although not all of us have been called to be evangelists, we should all evangelize. Although all of us are not prophetic in our message, there is a sense in which every one of us should be prophetic. We should speak. We should not hold our tongue. We should speak correctly. We should speak with a right attitude, but we should speak."

No, he said he WOULD stay if that's what it takes; nothing could be as important, that man's life would soon end.
It took hours, but it still happened that same first night. 🎉

This is what Christianity needs. We need people who truly love people like Paul. I ain't here to idolize him but he is different than people just leading a prayer.

That dying man was hungry for the word of God. GOD lead him to that church, God lead him to seek answers, He was already being converted if he hadn't already, Jesus was with him, confessing Jesus is the next step, then building a rship and knowing his word. not everyone understands spiritual things right off the bat, God has to take them through teaching the milk of the word first..

You are not the only one who leads a person through to a full faith in Christ and the Cross brother..I've done that when the person has allowed me the time, and I've also led people to the Lord through preaching the Gospel and then inviting them to prayer. I've done altar calls as well. We don't all have the opportunity or the time to sit down for a day or two with someone and share the Scriptures. I've been called to at least 3 possibly 4, cases where the person was in hospital critically I'll and died hours later..I was called there to lead them to Christ..each of those had a heartfelt repentance, evidenced by tears and shouts of praise. The 4th I aren't sure about, but I prayed & Jesus delivered her from a spirit of death and she came out of the coma and allowed me to read portions of scripture to her.
Don't be critical of those who are out there "giving it a shot" people who genuinely care; some do not have the chance to disciple the convert, they either introduce them to someone who can, or pray for their continuance with Christ.
If a person works full time and they only have opportunity to hand out tracts an hour or two on their day off - I say, God bless them!
You are in a unique situation being in ministry full time, to disciple converts- those who must work to live are not.
God bless you.
That's why so many different parts of the Body of Christ. As Paul said, he planted. Apollos watered.
The beauty of one Body with One Head that all should submit to Him to use each and every one of us for His purpose. May there be unity amongst the denominations that leads those who are called to the true gospel.
some are called to quit their jobs to be full time on the Lord's work,,,if u can give God 2hours its yo call,,,I always ask myself,,how we spend soooo many hours of the 365 days doing our own stuff yet we will spend eternity with the God we spend only 3 hours in church with on Sunday plus the prayer hours at home ,,,how much time is that,,,and we're going to stand on Judgement day and our works tested by fire,,,,may we all give it our best whenever we have the chance 🙏

Jesus didn't just tell people how to live, He modeled it out for them. In this way when He called Himself "the way, the truth, and the life" people can look to the way He lived and to emulate that as best they can.
I believe that this was a neccessary story for Paul Washer to tell. If he is to lead people to Christ, he must set an example by letting Christ lead in his own life first.
Relaying past experiences is one of the ways we learn from each other after all and so, I don't believe he was boasting about himself by sharing the story. I think he simply wanted to teach something important.

Yeah after you repent and believe the gospel following God granting you repentance unto life what happens you do continue repenting and believing the gospel as you hold onto the testimony He gives unto you as for them who don't fight the good fight of faith and live an ungodly lifestyle still its very likely they are tares among the wheat is what they are who sadly didn't go from lost to found yet. Of course it is written in Matthew 13:25 that tares were indeed sown among the wheat and you will know when you read the Bible and come to apply it to your life especially in remembrance of Isaiah 45:7 where God Himself admitted He formed the light and created darkness as well as peace and create evil as well.
That's great and right, but what about the power of God to heal ,deliver, and set free? There is more. Paul said he didn't have flattering speach but his faith was built on the power of Jesus Christ. This man deserved to see the power of the resurrected king Jesus not some death sentence.
That’s Paul
Wow 😯 sounds like WASHER saved this man.
I believe yoy missed the point
@@wiekhiongwong548
Look at the title to this video “ washer lead this man” instead it should read Jesus lead this man. Washer doesn’t believe in free will even though it’s undeniable. Washer is a walking contradiction.
Just curious, did he tell the guy that John 3:16 doesn't mean "whosoever" believes, but salvation is only for a select elect? Washer hid Calvin's teachings from the guy. Wonder what would have happened had he given him straight up double predestination.
So if he had an hour to live
Would he have having a chance to get saved??
Yes. Even in his final minutes he’d still have a chance to repent and believe in Christ.
What does it mean to believe in Jesus?
Believing in Jesus Christ is that you understand that we are a fallen specie and our sinfulness can never be cured by our own deeds. We are already a fallen being that deserves to be discarded right away, but God so loved the world He gave us His only begotten Son, so whoever believes in Him may have eternal life.
Our sin, our nature the sinfulness and the natural demand of punishment for our sinfulness has been solved by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Christ died on the cross as a sin offering for entire mankind, so whoever believes in Jesus Christ's sacrifice will be saved by God. Jesus Christ is not a human, not an angel, but God's only begotten Son, the Word of God, who is God. God's entire manifestation. If you have son just think about him. He's you, but you needed another woman to produce him. God doesn't need woman to create His Son. He is a perfect being and Jesus Christ is God's first creation before the world was created. God gave us the Son to redeem us, not something that's more inferior than us, not something equal to us, but the most perfect sin offering to forgive our sin.
In order to believe in Jesus Christ, you first need to know that there is God and that God is the God of Israel. Secondly you need to fully understand that you are a sinner. This is called repentance and it is essential because unless you agree that you're inevidently a sinner you can't believe in the work of Christ. Thirdly you need to believe that Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son, God Himself, not a human being, and your sin is forgiven by believing in Jesus Christ's sacrifice.
Hey👋,
“The word “believe” in the Bible means more than simply agreeing in our minds that something might be true. It means “trust”-that we believe so strongly in God that we are willing to commit our lives to Him and live the way we know He wants us to live.
Yes, we can believe that God exists, but God wants us to come to know Him personally. And He has bridged the gap between us by sending His Son to remove the barrier of sin and become that “bridge.” To believe in Christ is to commit our lives by faith to Christ-to trust Him personally as our Lord and Savior. Our prayer is that you will come to truly believe in Christ”
- Billy Graham Evangelistic Association
Jesus loves you, and you are made to fellowship with Him, He offers you eternal life through his death and resurrection. Seek Him and ask Him to reveal himself to you with a genuine heart, and He will.
God bless!!
John 14-12 i believe as chirstians if we have true faith the works will come automatically we are saved by faith of course there would be no reason for the works but the works are part of obedience not for our self glory but for Gods thats why james disagreed with Pauls theory ill show you my faith by my works because there are actions we must take to complete Gods commandments and of course baptism is necessary for salvation in Jesus name acts 2 -38 and also we must live a lifestyle according to God's word and these things are considered works but its actually obedience to God
The man had to make a decision to receive Jesus, not reject Him. There is no pride in receiving Jesus, but not because it's irresistible, because it is not. John 3:16: I have been told so many times that there's "no gospel" in John 3:16. I have been told, "I am so sick and tired of John 3:16". If salvation depends on believing in Jesus, and it does, why would any Christian be "sick and tired" of John 3?
You will never get rid of false converts (those ungodly "elect' ones I was quoting sound like some of them) by damning the decisions that every true convert needs to make. But you might make a name for yourself that way, as Mister Tough Guy. There is a difference in putting our faith in ourselves and some act of the will, and looking for assurance that we have done what was required, receiving Jesus through faith. When Paul said "for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that I've committed to Him against that day", was the apostle Paul boasting in his decision? Oh, but he said he had _committed_ something to Him, whom he knew and believed: are you sure Paul wasn't a case of "decisional regeneration"? Sounds pretty decisional to me. If not, why didn't he just assure himself, against the accusations of the devil, that he had grown in the faith so dramatically, "Perseverence" being what it is, and it was 100% up and , with no reason to doubt...himself? Oh, yeah: "wretched man that I am: who shall deliver me from this body of death?' So sometimes it isn't all 100% up, even though God is slowly but surely conforming to the image of Jesus. It is sinful and wrong to damn people for this, people whom the devil wants to convince that God has no love or interest in them. If you turn them into a sacrifice for the effectiveness of your movement, you can't be working for God.
Great and wonderful thing he did, however, Washer puts the emphasis on " persevering" for salvation, rather than simple belief in Jesus Christ. Living the life is not the cause of salvation, it is the result of salvation, 2 Cor. 5:17. If a person genuinely prays to receive Christ as Savior, and believes in Him, that person is saved. Key word here is genuinely. Are there people who pray this prayer, but it is only with the head, and not the heart, absolutely? But Washer makes the error of putting everyone who prays this prayer, in the same category, that it wasn't genuine.
Very true, he also makes it seem like Christian can never mess up or stumble or else you’ll get lumped in the same category as you said. Also, I can’t stand this idea of not going to Church meaning you’re not a true Christian. Virtually all the churches in my state are heretical and full of pride flags. I would love to go to a biblical, conservative, protestant church, but I’d rather not go to any than one that works for the enemy.
@@nicholascernatescu6685 Same here. I watch church services live streamed, with biblically sound pastors.
Why on earth did you add music as a background?
Isn’t the message worth being listened to alone?
The message is incredible. There is the video without music already on CZcams. We just added music for the story-telling aspect. 🙂
Hopefully he turned out to be one of the "elect". Perhaps he was being irresistibly drawn? Persevering to the end was likely a cinch.
It's bad faith (in both senses of the term) to make fun of doctrine like that. Read Romans 9, Ephesians 2, and then maybe you'll understand the foolishness and wickedness of not just mocking salvation, but mocking the self-given role of God in it. It's one thing to believe differently than the Reformed tradition to which Paul Washer ascribes in a lot of his doctrine, it's another to presume without a shadow of a doubt that they're totally wrong and you are totally right, and yet another to make fun of brothers in Christ and, in the same breath, the God you might claim to serve.
All of this might be more approachable to a soteriology which places the emphasis and power of salvation in the hands of men, who, to quote Paul on the matter, are "dead in our trespasses," and whom God "made alive in Christ," (Eph. 2:5). Or perhaps you would correct Paul, that man is still a little alive yet sick? That he didn't, being inspired by the Spirit, *mean* to say God makes us alive, but rather that we are alive enough to appeal to God and then comes the life?
@@midovarnakey Being able to make a decision to believe in Christ, does NOT take the power out of God's hands. We are saved by grace, and His mercy, by believing in Him. God doesn't force anyone to believe in Him. Some choose to believe. Many do not. It's that simple!
@@midovarnakey It was foreordained that I make that comment, so don't get too bent out of shape. By, the way, it was a sovereign God who chose to save those that believe not make believe those whom He regenerates and condemns those whom He refuses to regenerate. It takes nothing away from the sovereignty of God to say that the Bible means what it says. Man is not adding anything to his salvation by placing faith in Christ. That is why faith and works are juxtaposed all throughout scripture, not conflated. I'm not the one who tries to interpret "dead in trespasses" as meaning "incapable of responding to the gospel."
@@davidvanwye8108 I'm not so intent on arguing my particular soteriological position here, though church history is in favor of predestination (see Augustine, Luther, Calvin) and it is clearly seen in Scripture countlessly (John 6:44 as another example, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day."), but rather my point is that your mocking is in bad faith.
@@midovarnakey Fair enough. But, that's not what predestination is. That's a huge part of the problem. Those who are predestined for anything are those who are ALREADY SAVED. Also, Christ said the if He be lifted up, He will draw all men. Haha, when you say "church history", you mean Calvinistic proponents. You need to focus on interpreting scripture in light of scripture, not according to the "doctrines of grace".
NOW!, ----we can go to DENNY'S., Amen.

Had Paul Washer just gotten on the plane, the man would have still been saved. Elect, right? Predestined, right?
If the Calvinist definition of sovereignty is correct (that God meticulously determines everything,) then one’s rejection of it, is only by God’s determination in the first place.

Salvation and Glory is never about any person that leads a person to Christ, salvation is of the Lord, God saves we as children of God possess no power to save anyone. God assigns this blessing of leading people to Christ to billions of people who seek no acknowledgment and would be horrified if they were given glory and accolades for fulfilling there Christian commission. Was he a real Christian or a fake Christian?
Paul Washer is works based, not leading anyone to Salvation. We are saved by grace, thru Faith, it is the gift of God, not of yourself, not of works lest anyone boast. If you believe you have to work for your salvation or to maintain your salvation, you are lost! You’ll find yourself on the other end of God saying HE doesn’t know you.
He didn’t say you have to work for it or you have to maintain it, but that it is EVIDENCE of being truly repentant
James 2:26 says Faith without works is dead
It's not that we are saved by works we are saved by the perfect work of Christ on the Cross but when you believe in Him now you will no go on sinning you will TRY to live a righteous life not so that you can be saved but because you are saved
Let's see an example say a man before knowing Christ drank alcohol and speak bad words and now He know Christ, he says I believe in Christ but still Goes on drinking and speaking bad words is he then truly saved? No because when you believe in Christ you also repent of Sin (turn away from sin) and that requires action
Work base salvation says
Works = Salvation
Paul washer is trying to say
Believe = Salvation + Works
That man was saved by one of the endless bible verses that go straight against the false calvanism doctrine. God can save anyone even in a corrupt false calvanist gospel church. God died for everyone and He loves everyone so stop believing the lies of calvanism thst says the opposite. You all exalt these teachers who truly have there reward already with all of your continual praise and worship. Follow The Spirit not other men that believe new doctrines like calvanism which is not at all in the bible unless you read it through the lens of your beloved new doctrine
How could he do that? Since God will never his elect to hell right..😂

You don't earn your own salvation as many Christians believe. Jesus Christ is the fully effective savior of the world. Grace isn't something you accept (Hint: Look up the word - grace!) If you drown and someone pulls you out of the water and rececssitates you, you are saved. You did nothing of your own accord. This notion of earning your own salvation is a false doctrine. If we did not die with Christ and are not raised with him then his atonement for the world (everyone) was all for not. Jesus went into death (hades) and conquered it. Our sins, past, present and future were relinquished from us. He did it, not us! By Adam all die, and by Christ all will be vivified and justified (not by something special we do). Stop following the traditions of men and take confidence in Christ's accomplished work on the cross. Believe the good news of our victorious savior! He has lost NOTHING! :)
Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Psalms 103:10
He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Ecclesiastes 12:8
Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.
I'm against your kind of evangelism I hate it Paul Washer. From Paul Washer Leads a Dying Man to Christ in His FINAL HOURS!
I can’t stand the yelling!
