What’s your favorite Cowboys choke?
Not a choke and not mentioned in the video, but something about Zeke getting steamrolled after snapping the ball is magical to me
Every choke
Not a playoff game, but giving the 2019 Jets their first win.
Not a playoff choke but in 2008 all they had to do was beat the Eagles in week 17 and they go to the playoffs. They lost 44-6.
I am a Packers fan and my favorite choke has to be 35 seconds left for Rodgers to set up Cook catch on sidelines for GWFG. Close second is this year against Playoffs rookie Jordan Love and getting dominated most of the game
You missed Ezekiel Elliott's final play as a Cowboy, when Mike McCarthy for some bizarre reason thought he should play center.
That was Jerry's call..
I don’t understand the hate for this call? It was the last play of the game you have to try something different
@@rolbloxguyyeah making your runningback an ineligible receiver is genius
I think 9ers were favored so he didn't count it
@@rolbloxguynot when it clearly won’t work.
nothing unites america like a crippling cowboys playoff loss
nothing unites as well with free rent quite like your pancake brain does. clicked on the video and got to typing just cause your frat bro dad and college f doll mom hated the Cowboys in the 90s cause they beat their favorite’s ass
Indeed. As a packers fan I find joy in this just a bit
yup. and thats why they are "americas team"
LOL
For me it was the 2007 divisional championship game between the Giants and Cowboys. Jerry Jones had put tickets on all the Cowboys players locker seats for Green Bay. Tom Coughlin found this out and let the Giants players know this. Nothing is better than seeing Jerry Jones look of shock as he eats humble pie.
That was just Jerry's Arrogance on Full Display.
And at least they lost to the Future SB Champs that year.
Everyone knows Cowboys was not beating the Undefeated Patriots that year after the Pats stomped them earlier that year in Dallas 48-27.
As of late, Jerry Jones has been eating more pie, than Dwayne Johnson, in his wrestling days
Tickets?
@@JoseJimenez-vc7we Plane Tickets
@@JoseJimenez-vc7we I imagine airplane tickets.
When you said “since their last superbowl win” I thought you were gonna say “the Blackberry was invented” 😂
It's hard to describe the joy I feel watching Jerry Jones surrounded by microphones, a place he cherishes more than life itself, explaining why Dallas just lost another playoff game. The legacy of losing begins and ends with one person. It's Jerry, it's always been Jerry and will always be Jerry.
Why is it a choke The 49ers haven’t won one in 30 years that’s one more year Why no crying about them
@@user-ct4im4nd6r It's because Jerry is constantly waving his tiny dick around. Jerry is on a mission to prove he's a bony ( not bona) fide football genius.
@@user-ct4im4nd6rbecause the 49ers went to 2 Super Bowls and multiple nfc championship games
@@H0rser It ain’t gaged by how far you get in the playoffs Tony Romo was one or two plays away from an NFC championship game If you look up the NFC East records we have more NFC championship appearances more Super Bowl appearances than any other Division in the league A whole lot of these years Tom Brady has dominated the playoffs and was beaten twice in the Super Bowl by an NFC East team You could argue that most of the problems are pesonel and who is in charge of that Jerry Jones
Mostly because the cowgirls are always put on some sort of pedestal.
Mark Sánchez has won the same amount of playoff games that Tony Romo and Dak Prescott combined.
And Mark Sanchez been to two Conference Championship Games with the Jets, Dallas still waiting for one since the mid 90s.
He’s also won the same amount of Super Bowl games as Tony Romo and Dak Prescott
@@adriansmith5279 I would very much rather not even take my first step on the mountain, than to almost be at the top of it before somebody kicks me off of it
@@yell0wberry Mark Sánchez came closer to sniffing a conference title than both will ever be
bear in mind that Dak is still an active player @@Venom3254
When discussing the Dallas Cowboys, you have to specify WHICH choke job you are referring to because there are so many to choose from 😂
Lol😂 Dallas got more Superbowls than Philly Cincinnati, buffalo and Kansas City combined now choose from that
@@slapjones1959 Isn't it amazing how all these Cowboys haters talked crap about them but they never admit who they root for.
Lots of options
Dallas fan right here😢😢
@@FrankGarrett72 Here let me fix your disagreement to that. The internet has been around since 83' and the salary cap has been a thing since 94'. While I can't argue that they have been an utter disappointment( i am a cowboys fan myself) you can't say they are not a good franchise. I know the playoffs/Superbowl is the biggest part of all of this but tell me a fanbase that doesn't think that their team could win it every year? What would be the point of being a fan if you weren't annoying about it
The 'Dez caught it' game is known by Lions fans as the 'so did we last week' game.
Romo was the kick holder because he was the back-up QB at the start of the season
so.....?....does that men he gets a pass?.(no pun intended). he just embarrassed himself
Perhaps Jessica Simpson should have been the kick holder
@@matthewplehn4271 No obviously not it was embarrassing but I was offering context as to why he was
I blame the coach for that. Tony should not have the holder. Why put you GB in danger. I've read they put a brand new ball out for that play. That means it was slick.
He was the starting QB that season and his backup was supposed to snap the ball but for some reason Coach decided to put Romo in
I'm gonna say 2021 was my favorite of these because it wasn't refball as we initially thought, rather just something a football player in the NFL level NEEDS to know: give the ball to the ref to start the next play.
Or y'know, don't run a quarterback draw up the middle with no timeouts and not enough time.
Reminds me of those old NFL blooper reels my pops used to watch when I was a kid. The funny thing is their crazy fans will still start next year thinking they're going all the way and will be burning jerseys by the end of it!
Being a Giants fan, the 2007 Divisional loss by Dallas is my favorite choke game. (Apparently, before the game, Jerry Jones had already placed tickets to the next game in the Cowboys' locker room thinking they were going to beat the Giants) 😁😁😁
I always tell Cowboy fans that if the Lombardi Trophy was made of cardboard, the Cowboys would win it every year because they are always the best team on paper. The game has to be played! The G Men went on the road and beat everyone, including the Cowboys, went to the Superbowl and beat the Patriots. The best playoff ever as a Giants fan.
As a Niners fan, that spike to end the game was a fun one!
A clocked ball on the last play you'd expect from a high school jv quarterback, not an NFL veteran.
There was speculation later on that Jerry Jones had designed that play himself. 🤣🤣🤣
I am so happy this is a commentated video rather than a compilation of chokes with some occasional captions to complement it. A highlight reel doesn't do it justice nor convey the correct context to viewers about the state of the choke.
As a life long Cowboys fan it has been painful. I’ve resigned myself to the fact as long as Jerry is involved in football operations the team will continue to have these collapses.
More Cowboy fans need to tell Jerry to kick rocks...but they'll be back...unfortunately.
The Dallas Chokeboys.
HOW BOUT THAT JERRY JONES!
@@doubleM1986 LMAO🤣🤣🤣
I'm a millenial Cowboys fan and I've seen jack shit my entire life and I will be betting against the Cowboys for now on. I don't trust this team to run a mircowave let alone a team. Fuck them
I think that as a life-long Cowboys fan, you're spoiled. The Cowboys are nearly always in contention or seem close to it. They have 36 playoff appearances and 5 championships in their 64 years history.
-signed Life-long Chicago Bears and part time Cleveland Browns fan.😏
As a Texans fan I could not be happier seeing the cowboys choke every single year
34-10
@@poopoocaca8079at least the Texans made it to the next round 🤣 the Cowgirls had much higher expectations, the Texans weren't even expected to be in the playoffs but made further than the Girls. 😂 How Bout Them Cowgirls. 🤣

One other thing about that 1998 gag to the Cardinals. That was only the Cardinals second playoff win in team history and the first and 51 years. Pretty bad considering they were an original NFL franchise. That was an absolutely dreadful loss for the Cowboys
Crazy part is, Jerry Jones has made some pretty dang good teams and rosters over the past years. They just can't win on the big stages anymore it seems
True. GM vise Jerry can put up some good teams, he have the money to do that with Free Agency. However maybe if Jerry hire a more qualified coach with the teams he have, who knows?
Anyone ever consider that Jerry IS the problem.
I disagree Jerry has not put together a single good “team”. Not one. Jerry has hired a lot of good players and individual performers but not a single good team.
Seems like the players and fans always fall for the hype that they’re pre-season Super Bowl champs.
Jerry’s a Bad GM. Stephen Jones really pulling the strings. His shadow and presence is in the way
They’re all gems. I like the Cowboys for consistently being regular season champs.
As a Vikings Fan. I hate that we made them Relevant in the 90s. I'm sorry guys, that Walker Trade killed us.
Danny Green getting this team to the Playoffs after that debacle is amazing even tho we were one and done during the Early 90s
If Robert Smith’s legs could have handled a full- and post-season your team would have been a lot more playoff relevant. The moral of the story is don’t trust buckeyes.
it definitely helped
That's why you have no rings 1960 - 2024
= no rings 65 years and non in the future .
that trade helped but a lot of the team was already in place.
Thank you for this video, you made my week a lot better.
Honestly, the 1996 Panthers could be, and probably should be considered.
My husband is a Dalla Cowboys fan and was really salty when watching this video. Me, on the other hand, agreed with the entire commentary😂. Keep them coming ! #DallasChokers
Thank you for this video! I so enjoyed it!
My favorite has to be the 2021 Dak QB Draw to lose the game. Cowboys fans were livid and the Cowboys themselves thought they'd gotten robbed. No, Dallas, you forgot the rules and made the worst possible decision because of it.
I didn't know I could smile this much. Thanks!
"When the Cowboys lose, America wins." TRUTH. 👍
As a Cardinals fan i aprove this video 😂😂😂😂😂
Hello fellow sufferer 🫡
My favorite Cowboys choke was that Thanksgiving game against Miami when Leon Lett handed Miami the sure win. I'll never forget that one.
yeah lol, I remember that game...was hilarious. them cow turds....lol.
The Cowboys were a paper tiger team this year. AWESOME against bad teams but just could not win anything against a team that knew how to fight back, and Love awakened for Green Bay this year.
Ik right I’m a fan of the boys and if we played the same against every team we went against easy superbowl dub but you know😢😢
Welcome to Jerry's World, the land of excuses and unrealistic expectations.
Fun fact: Since 1996, The entire NFC has advanced past the divisional round of the playoffs further than Dallas and Washington in that span
Even the Detroit Lions have advanced past the divisional round! 😂
Ur vids r fireeee bro
You guys remember the Cabo vacation before the 2007 divisional round game against the Giants when Romo was dating Jessica Simpson?... I worked with a bunch of cowboys fans at the time and I remember them getting so pissed at them taking a vacation instead of focusing on the playoffs. It was big news at the time,I don't hear people talk about it anymore but that whole fiasco was probably my favorite Chokeboys moment!!
Setting high expectations but falling short does sound like America though.
I love every single Dallas Disaster. But, my favorite was this latest blunder allowing my favorite team, the Greenbay Packers to come to AT&T stadium and get totally destroyed. Greenbay wasn't even supposed to get past the regular season but, somehow with grit and belief in themselves, The Pack did very well this year. And of course, Dallas did what Dallas does.
Beat us just to choke in the next round again like the other 2 times! Fucker
They used to be the Cowboys. Since the Jimmy era they have become the Dallas Joneses and Jerrah is the worst coach in history. He needs to fire himself. Until he does they will just be the Cowpies. 😅
The Dez Bryant catch or no catch really was the breaking point off of a controversial calls in NFL postseason history from the Cowboys but you knew they'd got screwed big time 5:31
Except the thing is they should not have been in that game. That call is karmic justice for the botched flag pick up on pass interference and even if you think that that's not pass interference, what Dez did which was run on the field without a helmet on and yell at the refs is a penalty
The ball never even touched the ground. It popped loose, but Bryant never actually dropped it.
@@BayAreaClownShowit touched the ground
Next year will always be "Their year" ;-).
My favorite Cowboys choke was in the 1982 NFC championship game against the Redskins. Starting Cowboys QB Danny White got steamrolled, and replacement Gary Hogeboom was playing well. Down 24-17 in the 4th quarter, Hogeboom threw an ill advised screen pass to Tony Dorsett that was tipped by Dexter Manley, and caught and returned by Daryl Grant for a touchdown. RFK stadium went insane.
Never Forget the Lions Went 0-16 15 seasons ago and here we are 15 years later they are in the NFC Championship game! Something the Cowboys couldn’t do
Damn, at first I thought you were going to show empathy for us Cowboys fans
lol 😂
I like how, at least from what I've seen in the comments for multiple vids, people are starting to call the lions americas team this year instead of the cowboys just because we've finally broken our horrible losing streak. Hell, we actually won our playoff game and have one left before super bowl (which is still sereal to me). I just love how pretty much every state that's not still in the running has been rooting for us as the underdogs since it's nice to not be the laughingstock and actually bring the city some positivity.
I'm a Eagles fan. I always pulled for the lions. I was a huge Barry Sanders fan. Every game the lions was televised I watched it...the last time they were in the NFC championship game Washington took them to the woodshed. They beat a Dallas team that was up and coming with Emmitt Smith and Troy Aikman...I swore it was Super Bowl or bust. Until Washongton got hot. Since Barry retired the lions was always my second team...I felt a loyalty to them, after cheering for them. I always hoped the ship would be righted so congrats on getting back to competing for championships. This is a young team built for longevity...they will always have my support.
DEZ CAUGHT IT
it’s hard being a Cowboys fan but IM STILL DEM BOYZ
Tony Romo fumbled snap was my favorite.
Tony Romo: Was somehow the kick holder. Yes, he had been that, as the backup quarterback. When he became the starter, he thought it would be better if the kick holder was the same as the kicker had all season. And he botched the hold. That happens. But don't say that he wasn't trying to give the Cowboys the best chance to win. It just didn't work out for him.
If Jerry Jones had given that assignment to a Dallas cowboy cheerleader, then, just like her career, the ball would have went absolutely nowhere
@@yell0wberry Given what assignment? The owner doesn't decide who the kick holder is. Does he? Romo just thought that the continuity for the kicker would be better. Since Romo had held the ball all season before he became the starting quarterback. It was just a bad break for Romo. I mean, he's to blame. But stuff happens.
still upset huh?@@lonnieeastin6401
I wish Tony romo would have done something else.....watching CBS with him ...really sucks. ..
Glorious.
This most recent one was pretty satisfying. I have friends who are big cowboys fans and just acted like the superbowl was already a given, forgetting all their past failures. Just watching them flip out as Green Bay acted like the cowboys defense was compromised of XFL players really gave me a good laugh. My other favorite loss of Dallas was losing to the giants in the first game in their new stadium. Not a playoff loss but I loved that one.
Love it 😁
I love the thumbnail title 😂
That 2007 divisional was and still is the most devastating tbh, turned me off as a Cowboys fan for a whole year, didn’t watch the 08 season and thank goodness I didn’t.
How did they overlook last year's playoff loss against the 49ers?
I’ve never understood the term America’s Team. Representing your local football team is like gang mentality. I’ll mess you up if you think imma cheer for anyone but my team.
Dallas Cowboys will never let you down if you expect them to lose
Dez caught that ball. Coming from a Vikings fan who was in absolute elation watching that 09 game only to cry for the first time over a sporting event a week later against the Bountygate Saints.
Edit: these losses are all karma for the 1975 fraud of a "win" against the Vikings. The term Hail Mary shouldn't even be a thing in football as that should have been called OPI.
Saying that you're a vikings fan only proves you're anti packers bias lol
Even if he caught it they'd still lose.
That doesn't prove shit. Ask any viewer of that game and the vast majority will state he caught it, which was also reiterated within the video if you watched it. Also, you can't definitively state either way what would have occurred following had it been a reception is speculative conjecture. Additionally, I never stated I wanted the Packers to lose that game. Just because I happen to be a Vikings fan doesn't automatically make me a have an anti-Packers bias. They're not mutually exclusive. Oh, and by the way, it is *your* not *you're*. @@derekconstantino7759
Firstly, it was not a catch. He didn't maintain possession of the football through contacting the ground.
Secondly, they probably still would have lost even if he had caught it. 4 minutes left on the clock for NFL MVP Rodgers in his prime to get into field goal range to tie, or TD to win? That is a free Packers win regardless
@@justinb3209 read my second reply ✌️
How can a team do so well during the regular season yet become absolute trash during the playoffs
Tom Brady's daughter has held the Lombardi Trophy more times than the Cowboys have won playofff games in the last 22 years. And she's nine.
That’s genius! 😂
It’s been so glorious to watch. Americas Team my ass
As a Vikings fan it was enjoyable for the Vikings to smoke the Cowgirls 34-3 in 09 they couldn't stand a chance
Jerry Jones, the Palpatine of the NFL.
@ 8:22.."that's the end of the game" Lol
Between 2001 and 2018, America’s team was the New England Patriots. And this is coming from a 49ers fan.
I’m pretty sure even Cowboys fans know that… everyone knows why we’re known as such but over the course of the 21st century it was no doubt NE.
You swear it can't get funnier when they fail to snap the ball against the Niners.
You swear it can't get funnier when they try to have Zeke play center just to get flattened.
Then America's team gets blown out so much against the 7th seed Packers that the final score ends up needing a * for Dallas because you have to tell people that they only started to really score in garbage time against backups 😂
Had to come back for this update😂
Lions got to the NFC Championship game before the Cowboys this century even though the cowboys have been in the playoffs 13 times this century
You forgot the cowboys divisional round loss to the rams in the 2018 playoffs and there divisional round playoffs loss to the 49ers last year in the playoffs.
He said right at the beginning that it wasn't the eliminations but the many many times they choked.
Cowboys actually lost 48-16 in 2023 (garbage time TDs at the end)
As a cowboys fan, I just don’t understand how they ALWAYS CHOKE in the playoffs… like they forgot how to play football and just go out there and do whatever they want
29 glorious years of Cowboys free Super Bowls.
Never be labeled as “America’s Team” and you not be hated; as much of course.
My favorite Cowboys choke was giving up that last minute quarterback sneak to Bart Starr in the 1967 title game, the Ice Bowl. 😊
Still suffering from the 49ers Beatdown.
FACT: No Zoomer remembers the Cowboys winning the SuperBowl.
This made me so happy 😂.
It wasn't a playoff game, but in week 17 of 2012 Tony Romo threw a pick at the end of the game to lose the division to the Redskins.
The Packers absolutely stunned the Cowboys this year, next year will be even worse with the lack of change for Dallas and both the offense and defense being figured out.
I can see the giants winning this fraudulent division next year.
yeah, with Dakota Prescott...I mean what goes on inside that head of his??? he gets rattled and then turns into a turnover machine...unreal.....they will never win anything with that neanderthal.
The most recent loss wasnt even a choke, it was straight up just a beatdown from the Packers
Great video. Very balanced and accurate.
The Cowboys are only disliked because of their meddling owner.
Jerry Jones is going to die with old memories of yesterday before he wins another championship.
But Pat Summerall did not give the America’s Team nickname, it was Bob Ryan who was a producer and editor at NFL Films back in 1979.
Romo was the holder because he was the backup QB at the time
"When the Cowgirls lose, America wins". Fixed it.
GB is literally The Dallas Kryptonite
I've been a cowboys fan for life, so i'm pretty used to the chokes at this point. I feel like one day we'll get lucky just like every team.
Both Giant victories were my favorites.I think I’ll watch them again.
Excellent video.
0:33 - I could've sworn Jerry Jones first said they were America's team after he bought the team.
2024 Dallas losing to my favorite team the Green Bay packers was my favorite. Because I’ve been scrolling through social media to see other fan bases, watching fans of other teams be happy with us winning against Dallas. I’ll be able to always cherish this game as the best for me to see.
"America's team" - it's absolutely true. If you're watching the second game on a regular season Sunday, you either live within 500 miles of someone playing or you're stuck watching the entire season of the damn Cowboys whether you want to or not
Oh its beautiful!
Shouldn't have treated Coach Landry they way you did. Forever cursed.
I would think Jerry Jones plays the biggest part in folks dislike toward the franchise. Seeing his face when they fail is priceless.
Dallas Cowboys chokes are like my kids, I love them all equally 😂🤣
I was born a year after the Cowboys won their last Superbowl, became a fan in 2006, just in time to see Romo muff the snap. For 18 years I've had to watch this team blow it in the playoffs and then have everyone I know roast me for it, 2014 was by far the one that stung the most because of how bs the no catch call was, because all these other losses were embarrassing but that one felt like we were cheated out of it. So yeah... Go Cowboys I guess.
what nobody remembers is in 2014 the Dez Bryant miss called was irrelevant because a week earlier the refs picked up a holding flag inexplicably that would of won the games for the Lions on 4th down. It was a clear hold and no explanation was given why they picked up the flag that cost the Lions the game.
The refs also did not penalize Dez for coming onto the field on the same play protesting the initial penalty.
"The catch" of Dwight Clark in the 1981 NFC championship game that beat Dallas and started the Joe Montana 49er dynasty of the 1980s.
I don't hate the Cowboys as a Chiefs fan, but this video was well done 👍
The common denominator in these decades of futility is Jerry Jones. Owners who act as GMs cripple the ability of the HC to build culture and manage the team. The only owner who had some degree of success acting as GM was Al Davis, and he was a HC before he was an owner, and even Davis eventually screwed up the Raiders.
I’d like to have a video where every single choke job is played including the regular season so I could fall asleep at night and wake up to it in the morning 😂
As a cowboy fan great report, pulled the bandage off 9 open wounds forgot I had.
holy shit they've been choking like forever It's hard to remember how many times they choke.
