Ok so you have to take into account the amount of anticipation We had for Kendrick we waited weeks for euphoria and when it came out ppl flocked to it. Everyone wanted to know what Kendrick had to say
Euphoria is higher because Dot fans, being committed to what he puts out regardless of length, know what to expect from Kendrick. Everything besides what we expect is a plus. You know could hear hard lyrics, crazy entendres and hidden meanings, and great beats for the most part, etc. The problem with family matters is that the more you listen, the more it falls apart. Yet with euphoria, the more you listen, the more came together as the beef went on. And itâs a banger on top of that. đźâđš
The bigger issue I've seen no one say about FM is that he made the track without even respecting Kendrick as an equal artist. NO ONE recites the middle part of FM because its not memorable. the last beat was the best and should've been a single.
3 things: Its kinda taboo to like FM, as the overall takeaway is Drake lost the beef; who's gonna rep a "loser" anthem. Drakes fans are like golden state fans;lotta followers and casuals, but fewer stans. Look at lil Pumps followers and ask why it never translates to sales. And there have been hella Drake-expose vids since this L. Even if he technically did nothing wrong, ALOT MORE people see him as a culture vulture and a creep/groomer
He tried to throw YGs name out there and YG shows up on stage with KDot!! đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł that alone fucks up the song đ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ą
Also Euphoria killed on that concert stage. It's the track that set the tone. Family Matters was good on drake standards, but it's filled with missteps and talking about Big D and all that other lame stuff.
The beats carried and he did better dissing Ross and rocky than Kendrick. Nothing stuck to Kendrick jacket. He beat the dv allegations and the Dave free stuff with the pop out
@@hell-crusade Drake released 4 aswell, are you slow ? And charts only matter in this situation because thatâs all Drake has going for his career he got destroyed in his own game
Man I only like the last beat on family matters and have only listened to the track 6 times. But euphoria I have banged that over 100 times it's so much more impactful. You know what I love is the fact that Kendrick actually pronounces his lines with emotional versus using the same tone for every line he makes you feel it.
My theory: Drake has 76M on Spotify, Kendrick has 73M - so not too far away. Drakeâs catalog mixture of either rap or more pop/singing - so a certain percent of his listeners are pop fans and not into rap/Hip Hop and not focused on the beef. Kendrickâs catalog is mostly rap so his followers may have more percent tuned into the beef. That as a starting basis, plus Kendrick instantly stomping on Family Matters with Meet the Grahams, then over time Euphoria bars aging well vs most of Family Mattersâ bars falling flat = less staying power for Family Matters vs Euphoria. The counter to that is why the Drake followers who donât care about the beef arenât listening to it as just a good song?
Is this a surprise?? Sheâs another artist who gets hot off one song but doesnât have much more to offer after that because they were never really that good to begin with.A combination of the internet, meme culture, and some clever marketing can keep someone like this a float for alittle longer. But after awhile people will have moved onto the next big thing
the Drake kendrick beef made alot of mid artists loose momentum people are now seeing how terrible hiphop has been . Kids from my mom's school where literally studying Kendrick's diss tracks
euphoria is the better song, it's that simple. better bars, better raps, better beats, better "storytelling" and so on. this beef has shown how pure skills compare to being a phony
Drake lost no one cares to listen to Family matters. Thatâs watching your favorite team loose the Super Bowl then going back to watch the highlights. đ
the big thing youâre overlooking is that family matters isnât better than euphoriađ. the first and third parts of the song arenât good, itâs only the middle part, and most of the things he said have been proven wrong so it doesnât hit the same.
Drake fans will use the argument of âKendrick using botsâ as some sort of attack. Are Kendricks âbotsâ also the reason all of Drakes diss songs underperformed?
Family matters isnât better than Euphoria especially now that the battle is over⊠Dot predicted everything that happened in the battle in Euphoria which now post battle makes the replay value that much better
Iâve always been under the impression that the majority of Drake fans donât listen to his music when itâs mainly BARS. I never met a supposed to be âhugeâ Drake fan who preferred âDiplomatic Immunityâ over âGodâs Planâ or want to listen to âOmertaâ, âLose Youâ, and etc. A few years ago when I was 24 and in college, I was the only one who wanted to listen to actually spit. I think the vast majority of his fans are younger and just listen to his r&b, toxic, and party music. Family Matters is too raw for them in my opinion
Iâll admit Drake can rap! He got bars. But heâs definitely for surface level crowd. I think most real hip hop fans that grew up in the hip hop culture were going for Kendrick
I know music is subjective. I personally have listened to Family Matters one time. It never struck me. Euphoria and Not like us have become soundtracks of my life. It's crazy but it happened.
With Kendrick being the winner of the beef people went back to enjoy the rest of his songs over Drakeâs. Had 6:16 had an official release it probably wouldâve been up there too. That and I feel like the industry helps Drakeâs music get big by pushing/promoting his songs and they wanted no part of this beef. Especially when it got dirty, theyâre probably the reason why some of Drakeâs disses are being removed on different platforms.
It wasnt gonna be recieved well before it even released. When you can smell Kendrick when Kendrick stans and Drake haters burp this is the only result.
I think its cause of the PDF allegations man. It has sort of made it a stigma to listen to Drakeâs music, people think youre weird. At least publicly, and maybe the Family Matters diss track sort of reminds people of that. As opposed to a regular Drake song.
Yup Drake is off the 100. I listen to Euphoria ,6:16 and Not like us every other day. And I wasnât a Kendrick fan or a Drake fan. But the beef made go back and listen to all Kendrickâs album because his flow was more impressive than Drakes. This beef made me a fan of kung fu Ken.
Can we study the failure of âmaking a murder part 1â by Joe Budden? That imo is the most lyrical diss track that has ever been thrown at Drake. Yet it had no track especially when Joe was calling out a lot of these things earlier
Someone said this, but this beef was on the national stage. This beef made national headlines and publications and those clued in, even just alil bit sided with Kendrick. The music spoke, and so did the concert. everything else is just trickle down economics
Bro no he didnât drop âNot Like Usâ after âFamily Mattersâ Kendrick dropped âMeet the Grahamsâ 30 minutes after Family matters. Not like us came out the next day.
Defo Kendrick playing 4d chess on this one cause I remember really liking family matters and got immediately depressed on meet the grahams. It sucked the life out of whatever family matters was going to do tbh so kinda left it for while. Didn't listen to Not like us Till 2 days after purely because I just couldn't listen to another "meet the grahams" style song, gave it a shot and realised immediately Kedrick's plan on this lol well done! its a victory song. Haven't listened to anything else in regarding to the beef besides Euphoria and Not like us, since then cause its just lost its sting. Grand master kendrick, got a lot to learn about the art of war from this.
It really is strange cause meet the grahams fell off the charts faster than Family Matters. Even Aubrey's Angels can't be bothered to support their goat
Itâs just the casual fans, people say Kendrick won so they listen to it and not like us is damn catchy and he dropped right after family matters so ppl forget bout it. Thatâs what I think
The issue is Drake backed out He isnt on tour And this song doesnt have a good space in public. The 3 different beats that dont blend together None of it is bad but the strong/great part is the end. Eurphia has a more consisent beat tone it plays better
Also, the Kendrick songs getting push on the radio out here. I left the pop out show and when I got in the car Meet the Grahams was playing. Don't even get started on Euphoria and Not Like Us...these songs are heavily on the radio in LA
for me, family matters doesn't mean much when the title of meet the grahams is a direct relation to it, and it's something that i haven't seen much talk about, for me it solidified that there was a mole.
drake doesn't have that big of a fanbase, that's like saying we're all fans of tap water, he makes public access music. people who've experienced a lot of pre-drake hip-hop don't turn his music on they just don't turn it off. Women used to like him because women are used to accepting the bare minimum effort from men, but thats it.
One of the factors (not only) could be that drake has a lot of recent music and kendrick doesnt, thats why some fans are listening these few new kendrcik songs on repeat more

Bro said family ties instead of family matters đ yo good bro
Drake : "You know who really bang a set my nigga YG"
YG- "When There's smoke don't ever mention my name"
I reject the notion that Family Matters is a good song.
3 things:
Its kinda taboo to like FM, as the overall takeaway is Drake lost the beef; who's gonna rep a "loser" anthem.
You gassing it too much it ain't that fire and compared to Kendricks disses it's no where near
@@Kirwin98 "you'd bump this too if drake ain't dissed you (kendrick) on it"

Also Euphoria killed on that concert stage. It's the track that set the tone. Family Matters was good on drake standards, but it's filled with missteps and talking about Big D and all that other lame stuff.
Thats what makes it Drake song
People keep calling this the best song out of the beef but I donât see it on the charts đ§đ
why do the charts matter now? drake released 1 song he released 4
The beats carried and he did better dissing Ross and rocky than Kendrick. Nothing stuck to Kendrick jacket. He beat the dv allegations and the Dave free stuff with the pop out
@@hell-crusade Drake released 4 aswell, are you slow ? And charts only matter in this situation because thatâs all Drake has going for his career he got destroyed in his own game

itâs not âcoolâ to listen to the diss track of the guy who lost the beef
EXACTLY hip hop fans are a hivemind.
I think Euphoria is the best song by far honestly. Def the one i listen to the most
You mean meet the grahams in a lot of places
This video made me realize he doesn't know what he's talking about.
EUPHORIA IS A MASTERPIECE!!!!!!! Itâs so sad that itâs to complex for alot of people to understand how fucking GOOD IT IS!!!!!!!
That's why the replay value is so good like I love the layers behind it, along with all the other kdot songs
Meet the graham's dropping 20 min later was so fucking funny. Akademiks gave us the best reaction too. đ€Ł
Probably Drake's best song in years
Letâs talk about ice spice losing all momentum in a matter of 3-5 months
Iâve been waiting for him to make a video on this. The last two singles she dropped have flopped BADLY.
@@archdukefranzferdinand4429yup
Family Matters is a drag to replay tbh.
donât know how anybody is still listening to that garbage or any of his tracksâŠ. all of his disses were basic and surface level fodder
@@myra-yves 100% they have zero replay value.
i forgot that one diss by him that taylor one i completely forgot about it till yesterday because a streamer was talking about how ass the track is
maybe drake fans don't like long songs as much as kendrick fans like long songs, thats the only thing that makes it make sense for me
euphoria is the better song, it's that simple. better bars, better raps, better beats, better "storytelling" and so on. this beef has shown how pure skills compare to being a phony
Drake lost no one cares to listen to Family matters. Thatâs watching your favorite team loose the Super Bowl then going back to watch the highlights. đ
I thought family matters was better then euphoria at first, but something about you euphoria gets better an better along time
Question: why donât content creators ever go back to correct misinformation in previous videos
3:16 âsame hourâ is crazy, wild that it happened like that đđ
the big thing youâre overlooking is that family matters isnât better than euphoriađ. the first and third parts of the song arenât good, itâs only the middle part, and most of the things he said have been proven wrong so it doesnât hit the same.
Drake fans will use the argument of âKendrick using botsâ as some sort of attack. Are Kendricks âbotsâ also the reason all of Drakes diss songs underperformed?
Also who really trying to listen to drake after this shit đ
Okay so what youâre telling me is that (as of last week) the 69 God was actually 69 on the charts? Shit just keeps writing itself, honestly.
Euphoria and family matters have replay value out the wazzo for me
Even with Drake saying yg đ
@@ql5481 Iâm a civilian đ that ainât got nothing to do with me
why you rapping like you tryna get the slaves freed???? you replaying that line over and over????
@@myra-yves yes I fast forward to that line specifically actually
Goof
Drake has more fans but half of them are young girls around the world who are listening to Hotline Bling etc...
Family matters dropped out which is crazy
True!
As a day one Kendrick fan, Euphoria had to grow on me.
Because when it just dropped I thought it was kinda weak for a beef against Drake
I know music is subjective.
I personally have listened to Family Matters one time. It never struck me.
Euphoria and Not like us have become soundtracks of my life. It's crazy but it happened.
This already aged well. Unlike family matters of course.
You're confusing Not Like Us with Meet the Grahams. That's what dropped immediately after Family Matters
Kendrick literally stepped on this track in a genius move that ended the beef. Then he saw the dead body.
His song being at 69 is wickeeeeed đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
It wasnt gonna be recieved well before it even released. When you can smell Kendrick when Kendrick stans and Drake haters burp this is the only result.
Yasmine just be saying shit, Euphoria has way more replay value. Itâs not as surprising as you think bro.
He just saying anything
I listen to euphoria the most and I didn't even think it would be high on the list because it's so long
Exactly usually people don't bother with longer songs
Kendrick stepped on Family Matters 20 minutes later people forgot about it.
Do you know the lyrics to not like us
The issue is Drake backed out
He isnt on tour
And this song doesnt have a good space in public.
The 3 different beats that dont blend together
None of it is bad but the strong/great part is the end.
Eurphia has a more consisent beat tone it plays better
I listen to Euphoria I only played Family Matters like 2 times. And I hear Kendrick being played in passing cars đđ
Also, the Kendrick songs getting push on the radio out here. I left the pop out show and when I got in the car Meet the Grahams was playing. Don't even get started on Euphoria and Not Like Us...these songs are heavily on the radio in LA

70% of Drake listeners are casual listeners. Case closed
His super powers got neutralized
for me, family matters doesn't mean much when the title of meet the grahams is a direct relation to it, and it's something that i haven't seen much talk about, for me it solidified that there was a mole.
People said it's the most lyrical song in the battle . Lmao. They must be on that ABC shit , hard
Itâs because it sounds like a leftover from For All the Dogs (2023).
drake doesn't have that big of a fanbase, that's like saying we're all fans of tap water, he makes public access music. people who've experienced a lot of pre-drake hip-hop don't turn his music on they just don't turn it off. Women used to like him because women are used to accepting the bare minimum effort from men, but thats it.
Euphoria had the best bars
And best adlibs! đđŸ
The bars are catchy and funny
One of the factors (not only) could be that drake has a lot of recent music and kendrick doesnt, thats why some fans are listening these few new kendrcik songs on repeat more
