I was adviced to use tempered glass if I anchor the railing to the wall and that I need use laminated glass if I want use U frame to fix it to the ground.
I prefer anchor the railing to the wall but I'm not sure what kind o glass use I must to use.
Can someone advice me about it?
      Thanks

Hi Angeles Martinez, safety rules in UK required to use double toughened laminated , if glass brakes it stais no one gone full down, but in this option finished glass edges never gone be nice, need some sort capping, but this way we loose all beauty, probably best to make aware client about possibilities to save your side if something goes wrong ;-)
I personally like your glass- work
Usually UK stairs instalers using on stairs toughened double 8mm laminated, total thickness around 18mm

It depends on local codes. For the most of North America, for residential use, glass guard must be tempered, but no need to be laminated. Some states and provinces impose international standard - glass must be tempered and laminated and joined with rail.
