If you just wipe it with plain dry cloth and then with a cleaner liquid once in three months, the fan remains new even after years of use. Just clean and feed mobil in the bearings. Fan will atleast last for a generation even without rewinding.
You should have used a filler to mask pitting, paint job was not perfect, there were lighter and darker zones. But the result is not bad. With time you will improve :)

If You add Any colour ,all colour suit if you we use rustolium paint or any good spray paint. its not colour fault.
A coat of iron primer makes the paint last many times just the normal coat of paint. Tried and tested in different cooler bodies.
