Thank you for Sharing this Excellent Experience....
Huge Hugs from West Coast Canada 🍁
Thank you s much! So happy and grateful to hear! 🤗 sending lots of love to you ❤️
You may have finally convinced me that street/market food is OK to eat. Not a foody at all, but Asian food is so amazing. Your food guide is adorable! You guys are really brave trying absolutely anything. Gonna be a little bit crazy in Uzbekistan! Enjoyed this one a whole lot! Cheers Julia and Matt!
Haha, no 'live' octopus in Uzbekistan but oh yeaah, we'll make you a foodie yet 🙃😄 Lots of love to you and Pierre ❤️
South Korea always looks very cool to me. The food also? Incredible looking. If I ever go ill try to pick up the language some too.
It is a really cool country and the food, another level 😍
I only found your channel yesterday and am hooked! what a lovely couple. Really enjoying all your travels and places you visit ❤
That was an amazing tour. Haeji was a wonderful guide. The pancakes looked scrumptious.
Thank you so much Nix, really appreciate your support! 🤗❤️
I was just looking back to the video when you were feeding chips to the Gulls on Brighton Beach, what a journey you guys have been on. These food videos are fascinating. Good luck for 200k
Thank you so much @Peter.R.M. Really appreciate your support 🥰❤️
You guys have a nice variety of things that you cover in your videos. As for the food, I’ve found the recipes for some of the foods you’ve highlighted. It’s almost like traveling with you!!!
Thank you so much, really appreciate your kind words ❤️
I can't imagine your disappointment at not tasting a real worm!! haha My knowledge of Korean cuisine is zero, so I learned several things in this vlog. Love from Buenos Aires
Hahahaha, such disappointment indeed! 😄 So glad you enjoyed it @alejandroheld9527 ❤️
She's a character, so funny :-P Korean people and food is the best, they put so much heart into it. 💛 I miss it.
And East Europeans don't realize their pierogi comes from Asia. :-)
You have to find some good Kalbi!! That's the best one.
Thats sort of like a bun stuffed with meat right? @dman030
@dman030 the good old Silk Road 😍😏
So glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
I love food, thanks for sharing
What a feast Julia and Matt, what a feast!
It was absolutely amazing! So happy to share our video about it, wish we could share the food with everyone ❤️
@@MattandJulia Hugs for both of you friends!
Went to Korea 3 times during my military career, the only time I got sick eating Korean food was when I spent big $’s at a major Hotel restaurant.😱😂
How interesting, really show the quality of the food there ❤️😍
I would try every single thing (even the "worm" and the squiggly octopus. I am a very adventurous eater and, except for learning the cultures and traditions, it's my favorite part of travel. I've had good Korean food before but never IN Korea (and that BBQ looked amazeballs!!!!) As always, love your vlogs M&J (and beautiful L too!) Sending you hugs from Jan and Ronnie in the Appalachian Mountains!!
Lots of love to you both from the 3 of us, thank you so much for your support! 🤗❤️
South Korea is a dream destination for me. It's a special place! Plan to go in the next couple of years. New subscriber from your SK videos here! Haeji was adorable! Liking your video style, guys. Thanks :)
I love the food videos!
So glad you enjoyed it! 🤗🥰
I love the video. The food market was very interesting, much to learn for sure never mind the critic. Take care, thanks 😊
great video thank you
Thank you so much! 🤗❤️
Thanks for this fascinating Korean food video. The second time I was in Korean for only a short visit. Had Korean fried chicken prepared in a wok by a cook in a food alley and then served inside a small local restaurant. It was so incredibly delicious that I’ve often fantasized about returning to Korea just to experience that Korean fried chicken again. 😎
I can completely imagine! Hope you get to return one day! 😍🍗 ❤️
Those metal flat chopsticks shows off a proud heritage of Korean metalwork, that as a Korean-American I hate using, give me wooden ones all day. However, when eating fish with a lot of bones it's much better.
That tour looks fire though, the guide is legendary she's so fun and sweet.
Glad you enjoyed it! She is the absolute best! ❤️ We actually prefered the flat sticks, was easier the grip the food for us 😀
I love food so this looks amazing. Not sure I could do the octopus tentacles though! 😂
I think you just have to not think about it and just do it 😂
Haha, if there wasn't the peer pressure, we may have duck out too 😄❤️❤️
Nothing else needs to be said other than.....SO YUMMY, thank you the three of you Xx
Thank you so much 🤗❤️
Love markets in SE Asia and that area. Any great video guys,
Thank you so much @paulk4662 🤗❤️
Brilliant film 😂 The Octopus 🤮 - loved the lady on the right of Julia, her expression and saying "Let it crawl down your throat" lol 😂😂😂
Hahaha she was so much fun, so full of life, kept making us crack up 😄 Glad you enjoyed it!❤️
@@MattandJulia Haha, she certainly looked a lot of fun from what I could see 🤣 I've been binge watching a lot of your past films over the last few weeks and enjoyed them all 😁
Thank you so much! ❤️
Hi guys love your videos, just wondering g what’s the dynamic like travelling as a couple and a sibling!? Going on a 5 week trip around SE Asia with my partner and brother and am interest to know how you find it? Thanks 😊
This video made me SO hungry!! Thanks for posting. 2 questions for you guys. 1) Was there a big flavor difference between the different tteokbokki dishes? 2)What lipstick are you wearing Julia, it stayed on the whole time!
Thank you so much for watching, so happy to hear your enjoyed it 🤗❤️
Sooo yeah, the rice cakes taste the same everywhere, but the sauce tastes different everywhere (in some places more so than others)
Maybelline SuperStay Ink Crayon Lipstick 🤗❤️
I went to Dooki as well in Hongdae!
Such an awesome place! 😍😋
Great video as always! Don’t think I could eat the octopus though. I’ll stick with the noodles!
Haha, it was an 'acquired taste' for sure 😄❤️
You and Julia rock and roll.koreqn food too
Haha thank you so much!! 🤗❤️
Guide did very good job showcasing unique Korean street foods. Her fun quirky personality adds to atmosphere
Couldn't agree more!
Kimbap dipped in mustard sauce is like Japanese style. Korean gimbap is thick. I recommend regular kimbap, beef bulgogi kimbap, and tuna kimbap from kimbap restaurants such as Go Bongmin, Kimgane, and Kimbap Heaven.
Thank you so much ❤️
Julia, if one is not located in UK, is there a way or a platform that streams the Great British Bakeoff where we can watch you?
Lovely video thank you. 🏴🇬🇧🌼
Thank you so much! 🤗❤️
hello I'm Korean. really enjoyed your video.
There are hardly any Koreans in Myung-dong night market thesedays.
most Korean believe the prices there are not cheap.
Before the Pandemic, there were a lot of Chinese tourists
The noodle soup Julia ate is called [Naengmyun]
It is one of the most popular noodle in Korea
I'm delighted to see you all enjoying so much in Korea
please come again next time~
You'll always find friendly people, delicious foods, and amazing experiences waiting for you in Korea^^
Nice Video. Jim and Harriet
Thank you so much guys! 🤗 Have sent you a message on Patreon ❤️
I never had Kimchi - how would you describe the flavour? - great vid as always ty
Many kimchi I had is spicy but somewhat taste wise like fermented cabbage, but with multiple vegetables fermented? It's very hard to detail it.
It is very sour (fermented tasting), slightly spicy (red chilli flavour) and sometimes a little sweet too ❤️
I love that food market but I will skip the octopus thanks. I could gain a lot of weight in there. You three now have me craving Korean recipes. 🥰
We honestly worried we'd put on 10kg that week in Korea 😄 Glad you enjoyed it! 🐙 ❤️
Greetings from 🇺🇸 Pennsylvania 😊
I enjoy your Vlogs and food is a big part of cultures and experiences.
Thanks for sharing, see you in next 1 😅 ( lol)
Best, Safe Travels!..❤
Thank you so much 🤗
See you tomorrow ❤️
😂😂😂
I’m getting hungry now…..😮😂
Hello Matt Hello Julia , i have a question : when Switzerland ( Geneva / Lausanne / basel / Zurich ...) . I am fan of your Channel . Amir 🇨🇭 from Lausanne ( switzerland ) . Thanks ( merci ) . 🇨🇭
Hello Amir 😊 thank you very much for your support! We really appreciate it ❤️
I love your videos and wish i could say something different but this would be a nightmare to me with Celiac disease . . i so wish i hadn't.
Oh man that stinks. Celiac is a major pain, my brother has it and it can be a pain to travel at times. You would likely have to be careful for sure!
Really sorry to hear that! @lesleycarney8868 ❤️❤️😩
Don’t quit showcasing the local foods, please. It’s a huge part of any culture and I bet most viewers love it. I certainly do! You already balance it well with local history and attractions.
Dang her sisters got pretty eyes.
Fried chicken sounds good. I heard Koreans have both sauced and like a dry seasoning? Curious about the types of fried chicken served and the different styles.
Really glad you enjoyed it 🤗❤️
Go to Poland, I think their pastries and pierogis are the best also many cabbage dishes
We love Poland, have been a few times already, we love the food and culture 😍
# 홧팅 🍒👍!!
Octopus made me gag! Otherwise great video! I’m stuffed after watching all you ate!
So glad you enjoyed it! 🤗❤️
So much yummy food shown from this market. Wonder how much and we’re you start?? Absolutely loved both of your reactions after taking a 1ST bite. Thought I saw grilled fish you walked bye, Yum Yum.Watched them make the dumplings, my go too is always pork OR shredded lamb. Delicious potato pancakes. Congrats on the raw squid. Yum doughnuts. Absolutely Outstanding // Yummy and Delicious from start to Last Second
So glad you enjoyed it Drew! Thank you for watching 🤗❤️
I love your videos! Her Betty Boop voice is way too much to me. I don't know how you guys could stand listening to your guide. Food looked amazing!
Korean steak is awesome. I never tried the seafood.
Amazing what freedom does! The prosperity and makes me sad thinking of the neighbor country, the people who suffers so much! VIVA LA LIBERTAD
Is Philippines part of ur visiting list?
We have actually been to the Philippines in 2022, there are videos on the channel 🤗🙏❤️
The food looks so good except the Octopus..
Serious question. As a dog lover i have to ask how do you know if you are not being offered dog meat in the far east?
i should be a guide. my english is much better, but i dont have as many face piercings. lol i hope u had a good time.
Matt's hungry !!!!No surprise there.lol.!!!Is the food spicy?
Haha, i know right? Shock 😉😏 Yeah it is definitely spicy, some of it, reaaaaally spicy! ❤️
We went where we were told by the tour and the internet 😀 but thanks for the heads up for next time ❤️
Got to be honest kiddos. Too many food videos can make the vibe boring. ❤
No worries, each to their own 🥰
This is our second/third in the past year to be fair and we don't often do food videos, but we are foodies and love to make them every so often. For many viewers, these are their favourite type of videos we make, but I hope that is what makes our channel exciting, we have many passions, so there is something for everyone 🤗❤️
Stark contrast plentiful food compared to diet of North Koreans
남 장사하는데서 입구 막고 저렇게 설명하면 혼날텐뎅..
Matt, Julia - and who?
Her Russian sister has been traveling with them for awhile.
That is Lera, my little sister, we took her along with us for a few months to see the world ❤️🥰
Tteokbokki was originally a royal court dish made by stiring rice cakes, vegetables, and beef in a little soy sauce, not chili. But, in modern times, tteokbokki has turned into a sweet and spicy junk food. Anyway, tteokbokki is the most trashy food among Korean foods and the most harmful to the body. Classic Korean food is a vegetable-based diet that does NOT use oil, chili and sugar. Temple food is one of the representative traditional Korean foods and is similar to homey meal.
Interesting history and notes. Thank you for sharing
How interesting, thank you for the information! 🙏❤️
You mentioned in several videos that u are eating meat but not what animal.
Vizit Algéria
It sucks! Been there done that!
Oh that's a shame, why didn't you like it? ❤️
@MattandJulia it was way too spicy for me, freaky, and frankly,I didn't think it was that tasty... but that's just my opinion. It's still an interesting experience.
Gwangjang market is quite expensive area
guide no good !
Kimchified is not a word please don’t ever use it again! Just used the word fermented 🤦♂️
Ok, thanks Sir James Murray 😄
eat meat wrapped in lettuce leaves.
The important thing is to eat in one bite.
who was that butifull lady with blondish hair next to Julia and is she single
I cannot watch if you ate a live sentient Octopus! Have you never seen My Octopus Teacher???
The octopus is moving, but it's already dead.
Eating beef, pork, and chicken is more cruel than eating octopus, which barely feels any pain. And Koreans rarely eat horse meat or lamb like Westerners do.
It isn't really alive anymore, the octopus has been killed, but the nerves are still active x
I think these videos have turned into food travel and not so interesting to me. I prefer the history and sights. Just my opinion. The food videos are not my deal.
No worries 🥰 We don't often do food videos, but we are foodies and love to make them every so often. For many people, these are their favourite type of videos we make, but I hope that is what makes our channel exciting, we have many passions, so there is something for everyone 🤗❤️
I don’t think they can find many historical or natural sites in Seoul☺️ Plus, it’s probably hard to go to a country that is completely unfamiliar and find tour guides for the countryside and remote places when most foreigners want to visit the big cities and try the food.
@@minime7375There are tons of historical sites in Seoul. It’s a large city, but it also has parks and forests all around. But some of that is definitely easier to know about if you have lived there.
All for food travel
Well…food culture is a type of culture too. But yea historically, it’s less flavorful than China
Right am out thats awful. You enjoy it. These people are cruel
Had to fast forward it. This food is extremely unhealthy. Don’t you feel like have a month of detoxification after 2 hour intake of all this junk?
Very brave and fascinating experience for you all dont know if my wife would have taken the risk she is a wimp. Enjoy UK
