Alejandra Valdez you were not told about this music because people look at the image the band gives and the first thing they think is "omg another emo band" but yet some of the best bands who are anti bullying and actually help people with mental health problems (such as depression, i am still currently getting help for this so i thought i might use it) are the bands who look depressed, they do this so that the audience can relate to the band and feel more of the songs they thing (if that made sence) but yea, while your at it i would reccomend ptv, bvb, bmth and if you want something thats a bit more cocky then go to attila (keep in mind they are mock metal, they mock everything possible and laugh when they get hatted on because its one big joke to them) other than that i would reccomend listening to what mcr did but i will let you find out what happened with them

Sleeping With Sirens has helped me through a lot. I've always had problems with depression and their music seems to always lift me back up for a while until I fall back down again. Depression isn't something someone would want in their life. If it was that easy to get rid of, I'd be a much happier person. I'm that type of person that doesn't like to show people how I'm really, truly feeling. I act like my crazy self at school. I try to hold it together until I can go home and then just let it take over again. Because showing people what depression really does to you is scary. My boyfriend absolutely hates it when I'm really feeling depressed. He sees how it affects me and it's scary stuff.
Be strong and keep fighting. If you need someone to let it all out then you can say it to God. Whether you believe in him or not then just give it a try. It feels good to let it all out to someone and he doesn't judge you. You wouldn't lose anything if you try. :) You can also talk to me if you like.

My gf has depression along with other mental illnesses and yes it is scary to see her in that state. But I never give up on her she has gotten me through so much and I have been there for her even when all hope was gone. I promise I’ll never stop loving her and will always try to take care of her because to me she is special. I don’t care if she has Down syndrome or is a man I will always love her no matter what. Depression may be scary but I’m a loving man and a happy one at that. So I will heal her as much as I can no matter what! Also love your comment sorry I got carried away 🥰

hey, i was a 12-13 year old emo. i changed a year ago because i overdosed on benadryl and tylenol in August of 2013. i tried two attempts because i didn't want to live anymore because i thought everything was fucked up when really, i wasn't trying enough. i was homeschooled through 8th grade year and i hated it because i was always home alone and none to exchange my feelings with. i didn't even have friends online like you do. I'm now 14, a freshman in high school, and I'm happy. my mom became a methhead, and the only one i counted on passed away last year in July. My dad. I live with my grandma now but I'm always away from my sister and my brother and one my best friends. I'm only a city away, but i literally went over there yesterday through bus and i didn't even see my mom cause she was doing her stupid shit in her room . what my point is, just be happy. think about what you want to be when you get older. that is what gave me inspiration. did i meant ion i have BDD & Anxiety? i don't take medication for my anxiety anymore because it made me feel sick all the time . so i just do weed now lmao but ANYWAYSSSSS BDD is Body Dismorphic Disorder, its where you hate the way you look & you consistently want to change who you are, i still have my suicidal thoughts, but then i think its not worth it because i have people in the world who love me. & I'm sure you do too. so don't be too hard on your self man (: ( sorry if i like got too much into my story when i was trying to actually help you lmao . ) if you need anyone to talk to, I'm here . c:

Well I changed myself so that I corrected my mistakes that I have done in the past and "That's who I am now!"
Who am I? I'm not an emo, I'm not really depressed or have anxiety issues, but what I do have is a family, including my parents, grandparents, aunt and an uncle, who all have abnormally high expectations of me, I go to one of the toughest schools internationally, yet I'm expected to never drop below a 90 percent average, and to always be a topper, and no matter what choice I make, I love gaming, I love composing songs, piano, singing, I'm stuck with a mild saying, to study medicine, which I thought I would like, but I even find engineering and higher grade physics to be more interesting, but since they don't pay so well as jobs, I'm stuck with their decision of my future.

this band has made my life so much better
I love this so much, I love sleeping with sirens. Songs like this make me cry because its so meaningful. I'm glad- no wait im fucking proud I allow myself to listen to other music and find out what I really love. This is my favorite song of theirs, it's really inspirational to me, when im feeling down or something I would listen to this over and over until I completely understand the lyrics and apply it to my life. And when I do I feel better.
