I think the artist actually caught both the unplesant and the good side of humans. How ?
Chazzel tried to impress a girl by giving her the rarest object he could find(a dragon heart).
=> an angry mama dragon who wants revenge
=> she turns the princess (Kyra(actual name) / Jeniffer) in the monster Chazzel hates the most(a dragon)
Chazzel doesn't recognize Kyra so he thinks the dragon ate her and stole the necklace
=> he tries to revenge her by chasing and killing the dragon
Kyra, who is in the crossfire, runs to save her life and meets an actual good and gentle person (Harry)
=> he tries to help her and descovers he loves her
=> she protects him from Chazzel and choses him over the guy who thought she loves
Finally :
revenge of mama gragon : turn Chazzel into her new son erasing his human memories
Kyra : gets back her human look and falls in love with Harry
