I have one to add to the list in Branson, Missouri....probably the FILTHIEST place Id ever been in my entire life, and I have traveled a LOT!! The pics in their website is of 1 room out of a couple hundred, and we had to buy cleaning suppliea, bleach, rubber gloves, and I couldnt even describe the filth once we got inside. I left a review on their website because it was so bad. It would take too long to go into it here, but that motel honestly was as bad or worse than some here. The name of it is The Four Seasons Inn, and the transiets, drug addicts, domestic abusers and criminals all write great reviews, but it was a nightmare. We checked out and my husband brought me home early. No recunds are given under an circumstances, either.

I couldn't sleep, because everything going on in the rooms beside us could be heard(I heard a domestic about 2am, and I heard every word of the argument. They had a couch from what looked like a curb side eviction, and the cushions didn't match...it was so filthy. Still....the motel in this video was worse.
Yep of the motels in Branson are digesting and some of them have been condemned and torn down. Hear some of them had mold and one had holes in the roof and continue to operate until they finally shut down.

His dispatcher probably sent him to this place and the company probably paid for the room since it was excessive deadhead time. You can't tell what a place is like from 500 miles away and trucking companies like this are notorious for pinching pennies.
oh lordy! I sympathize with you. Our car caught on fire at a rest area in the Florida panhandle going to visit my friend's grandchildren. We had to ride with the tow truck driver who hadn't bathed in his life. The only motel was next to the only repair shop. Here we were, 2 old grannies, staying in an old run down motel that was housing migrants who were there to pick crops. We sat in the lobby while a room was 'cleaned'. The door didn't even lock! We put the table and other stuff in front of it. LOL The migrants came in from the fields and cooked outside and drank beer. They were all well-behaved. We were still nervous though. Luckily, they went to bed early and so the place was quiet. After a restless, anxious night we got up early and went to the repair shop. All it took to fix the car was a new hose. We were off for another adventure!
So “grossed out” over migrant workers? Yet you eat salads that come from these people. The country you LIVE in was robbed from these people (unless you are Latino or Native). They are probably more afraid of you with the fact that you probably would accuse them falsely of something. Hopefully next time you eat a veg or fruit you will remember that. I’ve never seen graffiti inside a motel before. I’m sorry you got stuck in that place. When our AC went out this summer we had to go to Motel6. It was $70, and while not 5 star and had some questionable people around, it was actually well maintained and clean. I was expecting the worse for $70. I guess it just depends on the franchise owner and if they really care about the property.
That looks like the management doesn't give a damn and they probably rent most of their rooms by the week to the barely housed, many of whom do lots of drugs. They probably charge about $250 a week (he said they charged him $60 for a night, usually there is a discount for weekly rental) -- however, even most of those don't have graffiti on the door. A few cans of spray paint to cover over graffiti on a metal door aren't that expensive, there is no excuse for graffiti on the door. It looks like someone at least tried in the recent past with the new shower and nice wood floor but dirty sheets and graffiti should not have been a problem even on a shady by the week place.
I used to live in Joplin... It used to be a motel 6 and it was renovated back in 2013 to 2014. It was really good until the owners just bailed after the murder that happened on the side that you are staying in. You should check that out if you get a minute there was a death there. Yeah the new owners a family just live there and lets everything happen. There is prostitution there and drug use... If your first night was quiet i would be shocked. Joplin isnt a terrible place, but just not enough people to actually keep it on its toes so to speak. I bailed after the tornado hit, but i still visit from time to time.
It looked like someone tried with it, the floor and shower were reasonably new. My sister worked at a couple of hotels doing internal audit (which the first hotel's owner trained her in himself, she learned on the job which is learning accounting the HARD way, she was 18 years old at the time), at the first hotel after the owner sold it off the new management mismanaged it, let the maintenance go, had two room fire from an unmaintained heater, lost their airline contract then stiffed all of the employees -- she GTFO of there after that but not before watching the maid service and one maintenance guy (who I have known since high school) they kept rob the place blind (other than my sister most of the people had been hired right out of the state parole office right up to the front desk staff -- it is a mystery to me how they were bonded to even get the job). Let's just say every alarm clock, clean sheet, clean blanket, cleaning supplies and whatever else wasn't bolted down disappeared from that hotel. It closed shortly thereafter, someone else tried to make a go at it and failed and now is falling apart after being closed for at least ten years. Since they stiffed my sister she didn't give a rat's ass what they stole (no, she didn't steal anything but did sue the hell out of them in small claims court and won but I don't think she ever got paid what she was owed). She quickly moved on to a much better hotel. I learned that hotels don't pay their internal audit worth a damn even though in most cases it requires at least a community college degree in accounting. My sister got $9 and hour and $3500 worth of accounting education out of that job! I was an accounting and tax professor at a university (I am now retired) and later years taught postgraduate courses intended to be applied toward a Master's degree, when I heard how she got the job and that they were training her I told her I felt so sorry for her and good luck, she was in for a trial by fire!!!!!

The last one I stayed at ran out of the complimentary breakfast because the food got covered in blood spatter/blood spray from the attempted murder that happened to occur over breakfast. That is what I get for sleeping in a little. So I totally can relate to this stellar motel room.

Many years ago (15?) I went to Hannibal, Mo and figured I'd just find a hotel, check out the cave and relax. I saw a "Super 7" and I thought the name was awesome. So, I wheeled through the parking lot looking for a place to park to go to the office- it was clear that the place was a revolving door "drug house" type place. I noped out and moved on. Looked like half the rooms were full time residents, hanging out shirtless in front of the doors, bags of trash sitting around.

Back throughout the 1990s, I checked into fleabag motels all the time when I went out west. I’m from Montgomery, Alabama. I used to go out to Texas all the time to work. I’d be out there for maybe five or six months, pack up, and return to Alabama. Five or six months later, I’m heading back out west. The WORST motel room I got trapped with was in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Place was filthy, with a cheap bed on top of concrete cinder blocks!! I swear to G-!!! 😂😂😂👨🏻🦳🇺🇸
I spent the night in Joplin twice at the Daystop (evidently it was the business client version of the Days Inn) in 1993 but it definitely didn't look like this. I took my parents, my then minor brother and sister and grandmother on vacation in my motorhome but they didn't want to sleep crammed in on the way to our destination so I stopped and rented two motel rooms for them while my brother and I stayed out in the motorhome. I did go in one of the rooms for a bit to use the shower, that motel looked pretty nice at the time, it was set up sort of like this one without the second story. I wasn't too impressed with the town, I did stop at the Wal-Mart to stock up on groceries and was floored at the 9% sales tax! My mix of a Ontario, Michigan and Boston accent certainly made me stand out, everyone there that heard me speak knew I was from out of town! That was a very interesting trip, it blew a tire near Rolla, MO -- fortunately that one was a rear and I had the other tire on the dual wheel axle to get me into town, it blew a front tire north of Oklahoma City and THAT was a trip, my father was driving and it took him across three lanes of a four lane freeway immediately! A nice Oklahoma State Police trooper came by and called road service (twice) for me -- my Good Sam road service (a motorhome road service company along with other things) came in handy that day but I still had to pay for the new tire at $200 (this was well before cellular service made it to Oklahoma and I didn't have a cell phone at the time anyway). At least he didn't roll my new motorhome out of that deal. I never took my mother or sister on a trip like that again, theirs and my idea of traveling is vastly different.
I deliver door dash here way too often, and I usually make my husband take it up wherever it's supposed to go simply out of fear of the patrons... First time there some dude tried to pull on me and get me to go to his room. Hell nah. Not surprised it looks like this. Used to be a decent motel 6 when they remodeled like 15 years ago.
I stayed at that motel in 2017 and it was pretty bad then, not nearly as bad as it looks now. Before that way back in 2009 I stayed a night and it was actually pretty decent, but it was a motel 6 back then.
Partially remove the sheets and check the seams of the mattress for bed bugs - small tiny dots. They'll come out at night and infest you. I stayed in a cheap motel in Joplin once, and the adjoining restaurant was divided into two sections, one for locals, and one for travelers who were charged more for the meals. Better to sleep in your vehicle.

We definitely could tell the towels should have been used as they're cleaning rags not used for guests to use. Back in the 90s Joplin was known for tire shops selling drugs on a credit card and saying they were tires on the receipt just like every day business .

Back throughout the 1990s, I checked into fleabag motels all the time when I went out west.
I’m from Montgomery, Alabama. I used to go out to Texas all the time to work. I’d be out there for maybe five or six months, pack up, and return to Alabama. Five or six months later, I’m heading back out west.
The WORST motel room I got trapped with was in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Place was filthy, with a cheap bed on top of concrete cinder blocks!!

I used to live in Joplin, this looks pretty typical.
It’s painted in prison jumpsuit orange , so that says something.

I’ve stayed there twice and never had issues but when my friends heard I stayed there they told me to get out of there. Interesting!

I spent the night in Joplin twice at the Daystop (evidently it was the business client version of the Days Inn) in 1993 but it definitely didn't look like this. I took my parents, my then minor brother and sister and grandmother on vacation in my motorhome but they didn't want to sleep crammed in on the way to our destination so I stopped and rented two motel rooms for them while my brother and I stayed out in the motorhome. I did go in one of the rooms for a bit to use the shower, that motel looked pretty nice at the time, it was set up sort of like this one without the second story. I wasn't too impressed with the town, I did stop at the Wal-Mart to stock up on groceries and was floored at the 9% sales tax! My mix of a Ontario, Michigan and Boston accent certainly made me stand out, everyone there that heard me speak knew I was from out of town! That was a very interesting trip, it blew a tire near Rolla, MO -- fortunately that one was a rear and I had the other tire on the dual wheel axle to get me into town, it blew a front tire north of Oklahoma City and THAT was a trip, my father was driving and it took him across three lanes of a four lane freeway immediately! A nice Oklahoma State Police trooper came by and called road service (twice) for me -- my Good Sam road service (a motorhome road service company along with other things) came in handy that day but I still had to pay for the new tire at $200 (this was well before cellular service made it to Oklahoma and I didn't have a cell phone at the time anyway). At least he didn't roll my new motorhome out of that deal. I never took my mother or sister on a trip like that again, theirs and my idea of traveling is vastly different.
I always take my own bedding and towels even in nice places!! Lysol and bleach everything!!
I deliver door dash here way too often, and I usually make my husband take it up wherever it's supposed to go simply out of fear of the patrons... First time there some dude tried to pull on me and get me to go to his room. Hell nah. Not surprised it looks like this. Used to be a decent motel 6 when they remodeled like 15 years ago.
I stayed at that motel in 2017 and it was pretty bad then, not nearly as bad as it looks now. Before that way back in 2009 I stayed a night and it was actually pretty decent, but it was a motel 6 back then.
You better watch out for bedbugs!
I ask the roommate how often the bedsheets get changed. Her answer : Don’t know. I only work here for a year.
That's the same motel myself and about 20 coworkers stayed at when we were out there doing construction in 1999
I hope that in 1999 it was in better condition.

Partially remove the sheets and check the seams of the mattress for bed bugs - small tiny dots. They'll come out at night and infest you.
I stayed in a cheap motel in Joplin once, and the adjoining restaurant was divided into two sections, one for locals, and one for travelers who were charged more for the meals.
Better to sleep in your vehicle.
Wowow!! @LAMONT!! I WILL add you to my friends and family rate with the Hampton brand !! Sheesh!! We definitely could tell the towels should have been used as they're cleaning rags not used for guests to use. I can't believe there's writing on the back of the door LOL I don't think I've ever seen that before. But it doesn't have roaches!! So that's a blessing!!💯🔥🙌🏾

Back in the 90s Joplin was known for tire shops selling drugs on a credit card and saying they were tires on the receipt just like every day business .
That must be a motel 6 because they left the light on for you.
