Alright, story time! 1. My deepest apologies for being so late with this video, the reason for this is because 3 days after uploading my last video "The History of Mexico", I got very ill and ended up having to stay in the hospital for nearly 2 weeks, meaning I lost a lot of time to work on my next video. Again sorry for this delay, I tried to work as hard on this new video as possible. 2. Some of my old subscribers may be surprised to see this video as I've already done one about this topic. Truth be told, the video is very old and has a lot, and I mean A LOT of sloppy mistakes in it and the video wasn't what I felt accurate and detailed enough. I've always wanted to go back to it and improve it the way I wanted to. This video has fixed all mistakes the last video had, has a better map and gives more details about various events.
+BrianDMS dude, love the vault boy, but really, Prussia is oppressive! North Korea! China! Iran! Afghanistan! Belarus! Vietnam! Compare 20th century Prussia to these modern countries and Prussia looks like heaven. Prussia wasn't any more oppressive than most other European nations back then.
Tommy Bill All of those are non-european states with different morals and ethics than european ones (Belarus wasn't even a state back then and now it's not much more oppressive than Russia really but they're not an occupational state, Prussia was one). Compare Prussia to any other European state back then. Only Russia was more cruel and evil towards all the nations they conquered, but the thing is - Russia was not as efficient. In Prussia people were forced to learn German, even though over half of its territory was situated on the land inhabited by Poles and Balts, they were not allowed to speak their own languages, kids were beaten for not wanting to study German, everything tied to the Polish language and culture was annihilated, they even melted the historical crown insignia into gold, burned all the books they could get their hands on, they would draft everyone to the army and make them fight against their brothers that were forced to fight in the Russian one. Prussia was by far the most cruel and evil, purely occupational and war-propelled state at that time in Europe if we don't count the Russian Tsardom. And no, not every european state was like this back then, just take a look at France, Britain or even Austria-Hungary, it also took part in partitions of Poland and the state itself was diverse and multicultural to the degree that not only Hungarians but even Poles would often hold high seats in the government, it was the least authoritarian empire in this side of Europe where people could enjoy all the privileges one can think of, it was home of classical-liberal thinkers and economists that promoted freedom in every aspect of life, in contrary to slavery that people would face in Russia or Prussia.
but they did not have serfs in the nineteenth century like russia nor had the inquisition like spain other catholic nations of that time. Prussia had to be aggressive to remain relevant against the major powers in that region like:Austria,Sweden,France and Russia, The ottoman Empire was more oppressive than you make prussia out to be.
Hello Suomi, First I just want to tell you that I'm really enjoying your current content! Now, I was just wondering if you'd consider making a timeline of the Incan empire? From it's start to it's fall? I know that you've been doing mostly former and current European nations, and I totally understand if the Incas don't interest you, however I feel like it could add some variety to the channel whilst still being very enjoyable. I think that if you wanted to, with your talent, you could make a great video about it. The Inca are in my opinion one of the most interesting empires from the old "tribes" of America, and I would love it if you'd cover their history. As I said I totally understand if you don't want to, just wanted to share the idea. Keep up the good work!

No guy who's studied in Germany will forget that & that's an awesome legacy of Preußen ! Anyways peace to you folks from India ;)

@@LeHoa-pg4sq ???????? Generally I dislike the fact that Kingdom of Prussia and its predecessor, Electorate of Brandenburg was strictly anti-Polish. They constantly wanted to grab land from us.
