Theres one thing i wanted to add and is the use of riffles and guns in this campaign and how much of reaction it gets Taliesin, but thats for another day.

The fact that Marisha says "my mom" first and "Keyleth's mom" later really shows how much they've sunk themselves into the characters.
Tell me you've never played a ttrpg without telling me you've never played a ttrpg. You realize most people easily self insert into their characters and it's one of the main draws of the game?

It is because Matt wanted to make this campaign stand as much as possible on its own with as few mentions as possible to C1 mostly to make sure the whole thing wasn't just a fluke and they could continue to stand on their own going forward especially after separating from G&S and making their own company. You now will see in the third campaign he has no issues using the greater world and events/characters of C1 and C2 to tell a more cohesive story.
In that moment, when Matt revealed that Keyleth's mom had become a prisoner, Marisha knew that someone was going to die by her hand.

The Traveler/Artagan's speech to Jester is chilling and sad at the same time. It's clear he cares immensely for her, and that he loves the joyous chaos she and other who follow him help spread. Yet, he is just so tired. Poor guy just had no idea what he was getting into. It doesn't sound like a would be god wanting out, it sounds like he just wishes to see and be around Jester, his best friend, again.
I've rewatched the Vilya reveal at least 10 times by now, just to watch each person's reaction.

You can see tal having the biggest struggle to not go back to whitestone. If i was him id be terrified to see what has become of it as a place he created. But I get the sense if they go back whitestone would be whatever Matt thinks it to be not what tal hopes it would be.

Hmmm how would all the characters meet🤔 I believe the archdruid would love to find and thank those that saved her mom, and the easiest one to find would be Caleb being a renowned teacher at the Academy. Vex would maybe want to find jester and would ask Percy to come along to ask how’s arty doing these days, and maybe Grog to be her personal security 🤷♂️. Maybe Pike and Scanlan go on vacation and they just so happen to run into Vith, Yasha, and Beau having a lady’s night? That’s the best I got for those interactions

Me too! She shows up in 86-89 when they were heading to Kiki’s last trial. I barely remember who it is but it’s mainly cause I was moving during that time so I was half listening.
So I had no idea what I should put for her and if it was really Important.

@@toms1313 Yeah, the Skyship was their initial trip over to deliver the Horn of Orcus at the beginning. Captain Adella commanded the sea-going ship they chartered towards the end of the Chroma Conclave, beginning of the Vecna arc. Laura and Marisha were particularly taken with her description at the time, so that's why they were all "oh she's even hotter" when they realized she was back and more mature now.

i like how in c2 there was like, over the entire campaigns run time, not a lot to do with C1, whereas in C3 they are literally in whitestone.
Does anyone know how the tables are set up? I'm been trying to figure out how they're seated.
Imagine a triangle that's upside down. The top line is Matt, the bottom right line is Travis/Marisha/Liam, the bottom left line is Sam, Laura, Taliesin.
If you google “critical role table” it should give you an image of how they are seater pre-covid
