#PowerCon #pixeldan - Zábava
The build figure looks like a Jack Kirby drawing - so cool.
YES!
Same. My first thought was New Gods.
Definitely
Just going to say that!!! Automatically caught my eye
These look way more detailed than orgins !
Now this is a toy collection every kid wants and this is more like the vintage motu toyline 👍
facts
Just seen the dragon, sold, sold, SOLD!!!!
the guy in the back in the blue red and orange armor has crazy Jack Kirby vibes going on
Very cool, and that diorama piece is awesome too.
Thank you so much for your encouraging words!
Peer
These look great. I do love the cleaner articulation too. The sculpt really shines through.
I really appreciate your appreciation! :)
Peer
Preordered them months ago. Really looking forward to these!
Thank you so much for supporting.
Peer
Been looking forward to this line since they were calling it Lords of Power. The Legends of Dragonore redesigns of Barbaro and Yondara impressed me the most. Must get that Dragon!
Thank you so much!
Peer
Beastman and Merman had a baby?!!
More articulation is not always better. These figures look pretty awesome!!
exactly
No!! I need 5000 points of articulation
@@Charmander009 LMAO!!!!
I did the earlybird all-in on Big Bad Toy Store. Can't wait for these and that dragon mount looks absolutely EPIC!
Thanks so much for your support!
Peer
Looks cool. At least its something new and original while also harkening back.
Thank ypu, this is exactly the idea!
Peer
Looks better than Sun-Man... I guess these are totally a new thing altogether?.. I'd like to get them.. 👍
Omg that dragon!!!!!
I saw an ad for these somewhere and was very intrigued. Their He-Man & Teela knockoffs look particularly good. And the translucent Genie is fun. I like the third eye and the turban (at his feet here).
Already pre ordered mines a month ago. Can not wait.
They look cool. Hats off to whoever made that display/diorama too 👌🏻
The diorama was hand sculpted by our own Peer Brauner :)
Thank you so much!
Peer
Great looking figures.
They look awesome. It's was awesome meeting you today thanks for taking the time to kick it with me!
Thank you for taking the time to chst with us!
Peer
They look great.
Check out the front arms/legs on those dragons- that's not the same sculpt from what I can see. The standing one has open hands that can hold his weapon, while the one on all fours has flat feet. There'd also need to be some pretty sophisticated articulation in the head and neck area to achieve both stances. My money is on it coming with alternate parts that pop on and off to build him out differently. One thing Dan didn't mention here is that these figures are modular and parts from each character can be mixed & matched. Wouldn't be surprised if the dragon guy was compatible with this same format.
Ignytor th me red will come with a pair of front legs and arms.
All dragon parts have the same pop-apart joints as the regular figures.
The neck/head orientation is defined by how you arrange the neck sections.
@@grazellkab1837 Thanks for the info! Sounds like I was spot on.
@@grazellkab1837 .....does this mean the dragon arms could be swapped with the other figures'? (I'm thinking Divine Armor) Or is it the same system at a different size?
You are exactly right.
The human like arms are the ssme size as regulsr arms.
Also the drsgon legs anf wings will fit on human like figure.
@@grazellkab1837 Sold! I'm getting one! Or two.... Or... ;)
These figures look awesome! Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm and love for all things toys!
They should do this for something more Scifi.
Just wait 😉
The problem with modern toy collecting is all the waiting! 😉
@@EmilianoSantalucia A mix of fantasy and sci-fi would be neat too. An elf with a laser sword or a dwarf in power armor.
These figures look amazing.
Onitor looks especially cool. And the Dragon figure looks awesome too.
I liked the original designs for Barbaro (the one that looked like the original He-Man prototype) and the Adversary/Onitor (originally looked like a green version of Webstor) much better, but I still plan on getting these guys. I'm glad that they've extended the preorders.
The “green webstor” was neat.
yeah it’s lame mattel cock blocked em, but i’m still gettin all of these. i have no use for mastersverse
I agree but these new designs have really grown on me too
yeah but sucks that mattel blocked the Lords of Power designs (just because they can doesn’t mean they should 🙄) but i’m definitely gettin all these
Despite the similarities, the Mark Taylor design was never a Webstor design ;)
I met him at power con today
Awesome job dan I love it 😍
Excellent stuff these look awesome
These look great. I’m all in. Just ordered. That Dragon figure looks great as well. This should fit right in line with MOTU origins. Sure they don’t have the same articulation but it’s exciting to get original figures and support the little guys.
Thank you for supporting!
Peer
Oh these are beautiful.
That the "build a figure" pieces are the divine armor was an inspired decision. (Especially with the swappable parts feature)
Obviously this line shares some with Masters Of The Universe but Formo also brought in some things from other lines. We get a little bit of Star Wars with the Early Bird as well as the build-a-figure from past DC & Marvel toylines. I love that they are making this line so fun!!
I love these so much!
its like he man similiar
They are awesome.
I was hoping to see them Friday but the guy was stuck in New York on his way in from Germany.
I love how you never said Motu or He Man or Masters of the Universe, being super careful with words there lol
I have no idea how these flew under my radar when they were first announced, but I'm currently experiencing a pretty heavy resurgence of interest in MotU and its many... let's say "distant relatives." So these are extremely appealing to me at the moment!
The new dragon is a pretty exciting reveal. Total 30-30 from Bravestarr style, I dig it
I’ve only ordered Oksura but I might get a couple more, I’m on the fence
Get them all so you can build the Divine Armor of Power 😉
@@EmilianoSantalucia I did end up getting Barbaro too but I’m limited on space and money! Haha
These are cool! I'm debating buying these. You can see the eastern influence in some of the designs and the sculpts and paint work are much better than MOTU origins...but they are basically asking us to pay $25+ each in the set for figures with limited articulation. If these had a knee and elbow bend then they would be a better sell.
smaller production run = higher production cost, and higher collectible value. i for one prefer vintage articulation
These look amazing, I'm in ;)
i actually PREFER fewer points of articulation
Idk why but this excites me. I love this. Hope you will pick these up. Would love to see reviews and more on these guys.
This is how MotU Origins should be, imo. No extra articulation just the vintage line redone with bright new plastic and better plastic. Something about Origins bugs me. Tiny little changes and it just seems like a knock of the vintage line. He-Man looks funny. Maybe later waves are better. Have not seen any up close.
I feel the same way. I want to like Origins more than I do. The articulation, the "fixing" of vintage designs and the inability to even find them without stalking Walmart & Target has me disappointed. Legends Of Dragonore is much more what I wish Origins was. They are also making it easy to get their figures.
exactly
Yea but Mattel needed to put articulation so they can advertise that
Awesome toys 😎 👍
These are so nice.
I was wondering what became of those "Lords of Power" figures.
now i want them in motu classics style.
Did you get an interview with Emillanio and Peer and Josh,
This is nice
Dan were you able to see some Guardianes Cosmicos display?
Could you please got to San Francisco comic con i would really like to meet you. The show happens from the 25th to the 27th of November. and great content I watch you 24 hours 7 days a week.
Casey Jones want
Already ordered my wave1 a few weeks ago. Looking forward to getting these guys.
My only real concern about them is the rigidity of the plastic. I love the look of my DC Primal Age figures, but I feel like I'm in danger of breaking them every time I put a weapon in someone's hand.
Don't suppose you asked them about this while you were there, about how pliable the plastic will be?
Elbows and knees and so many more people would be in
They are cool. When they come out? Price point?
30 bucks a figure
Preorders end 21 August, they’ll be released around end of first quarter of 2023
@@EmilianoSantalucia Reserved mine at the early-bird stage on BBTS. I can't wait to have these in hand; they're gorgeous sculpts and cool characters!
Are these similar to the Super 7 MOTU figures?
Yes, with the addition of wrist/boot cuts
@@gianluca.pastorelli thank you for the reply. The info was helpful. Do you think the Dragon Castle is worth the extra $30?
@@adriancarnahan8480 We need to know more for that. Dan mentioned a "transformation" feature, which I think means there are some swappable parts, such as the arms (they look very different in the standing and in the folded versions). I'll definitely look into the details
Edit: oh, sorry, you meant the castle, not the figure. I really don't know, it looks a bit cheap in the pictures, I'd try to get a better feel about the quality before ordering
The Castle Dragonstone diorama is prt of our Early Bird Kit, which is $20 more, not $30, and it includes the cardboard castle, a board of pullout figures and a poster. It’s our way to fill the long wait for the figures.
@@EmilianoSantalucia thanks for the info! By the way, big fan of yours 🤝
Does anyone know if these are coming to retail or only available for this pre order window and then not for sale after?
I pre-ordered mine through BBTS.
Last time I looked at the preorder on the FORMO site, they had a line at the bottom of the page inviting retailers to talk to them. Who knows what will happen with that, though.
these look cool, but old school He-Man articulation kinda throws me off.
What are you waiting for a cartoon series or comics??????
Where to order
Big Bad Toy Store
I've been a toy guy for a min... but I have a question for collectors... do you play with your toys????
legos, styrofoam airplanes, water guns, those are toys a kid can play with. but even when I was 8yo I knew action figures were for *collecting.* somehow it didn’t occur to me to keep the awesome packaging though
No. But I want to.
Are these related to He-man
Shut up and take my money!
With such a quality as shown in this video I had loved these to be released in the 7inch scale, and if delivered in the Classics buck, it would have been a dream!
Did the Four Horseman design these?
Nope, I did :)
@@EmilianoSantalucia I want to believe you, proof?
@@BayushiGemma huh? Emiliano is a well known designer and has designed many other toys. Formo is his company along with Peer and Josh.
@@BayushiGemma Proof? I'm one of the partner of Formo Toys. I literally own a third of the company, what other proof do you need? ;)
@@EmilianoSantalucia I meant in sculpting the figures.
van asalir al mercado
If the heads popped off like modern figures I'd get these for parts.
They supposedly do. A lot of the parts are interchangeable
@@TitularHeroine I was told by Emilio that these are built like vintage
I dunno dude...
Are you a satanic?
Gosh. I mean, they look cool as heck, and of course we know the inspiration, but I just wish they'd push the articulation to the next level. I mean at least just give them elbows and knees. As much as i love my classic MOTU figures the Origins figures are what I would have wanted from the beginning in 1982. IMO nostalgia isnt enough anymore, we gotta have that evolution of the form factor. If anything just shrink down the Classics figures to vintage MOTU scale. That dragon is a perfect example of the evolution I speak of. More innovation, less stagnation.
I guess the market is split. I can see many being happier with fewer points of articulation
I am definitely one of those people who is fine without a ton of articulation. This has been my favorite style for action figures for decades and I never once thought 46 points of articulation would improve it. While I collected MOTU Classics for most of its run, the whole time I was wishing the vintage line made a comeback instead.
female furry fighter and a new 30/30
Looks like He-Man knock off.
perfectly so
Not knock offs. They're based on the orignal MoTU design sketches. The original designer was even involved in this series, before he passed away. Though they're less based on the designs now, since Mattel forced them to redesign.
@@daximil ah that's explained it.
@@daximil Right now the entire line is made or original designs by me :)
So wish they had given them Origins style articulation. But these figures are awesome.
I kinda miss some of the more simple "Lords of Power" designs.
😂🤮🤮🤮
Meh...yeah very good details in costumes and color...bit of a sucker for translucent but that retro form factor is so overplayed. Its lost its original appeal. Also not a big fan of start up companies doing an all or nothing on their sales I feel you gain a bigger following by letting the consumer choose their favorites.
Very hard to let people pick, believe us. Shipping would be insanely complicated for us and production numbers would be very difficult to manage.
