I wouldn't be surprised if it was Magnus on an alt account that he likes to use for more attacking fun games. He seems to play solid positional games for competition but going ham with nasty attacks just seems like a nice way for him to cut loose and let off some steam lol
Maybe he wants to try different play style, or studying Alphazero style games. I got that Alphazero vibe in opening, sacing a pawn for attack, and going down after the king, whoever this person was, it was pure savage.
I was watching Jeffery's stream the other day (raided from watching Hikaru stream) when he played a 10 game blitz run with SinisterMagnus. jeffrey lost like 7.5 - 2.5 or something but jeffery used his personal contacts trying to figure out who it was. Jeffrey was amazed how good SM was the whole time. The only thing he was fairly sure of is that it was not Magnus himself. Mostly had to do with the fact that jeffery's contact knew where he was at the time and was not playing chess. Not solid proof I guess but interesting though..

Not so say you don't superficially use evaluations of structure and overall schematic thinking in your games but I really think that the "if I move hear, he moves there" core aspect of your play is part of why you struggle to reach the next plateua of understanding. Mikhail Tal:"In the course of a chess game, opponents develop their ideas completely differently. Many chessplayers(especially in the younger generation), in the course of a five-hour game, will study the basic calculations, and their work will approximately consist of 'if i go there, he goes there' as the position warants. So as soon as the King is naked before I run out of ammunitions it's perfectly fine.
