    I left out cactus pit as an option but I'm pretty sure unless you were constantly angering the warden it would also decide to abandon ship. You could have the warden standing on some cactus while you shoot it, though. A huge amount of potions in dispensers may also work, but the massive set up for something like that definitely disqualifies it from being a "best" way to kill the warden.

    I’ve mainly just kept using tons of water. I found that Wardens can’t swim down in water. They float like freaking balloons. I just keep putting ceilings into the halls of the Ancient Cities and placing water over it so I can at any point just break a few blocks above me and watch the thing just slowly *Ascend* in front of me while I just reblock the ceiling and move on. Plus, if you wanted to kill the Warden for any reason, just put a magma block under you, break the ceiling blocks, and just keep punching him. All you need is to be at least 3-4 blocks under him and he’ll be unable to even reach you while you can just keep bopping him in the legs. I have become Aquatic Mole Man.

    Another option: Iron golems.
    About half as tough as a Warden, friendly, hit like trucks and mass producible with iron blocks and pumpkins being all you need, they'll draw all the aggro away from you, as well as swarm whatever warden(s) you're fighting, just gotta make sure you build more golems than the amount of wardens you're fighting, they're not MUCH weaker than Wardens, but they ARE still weaker, so you'll need the numbers.
    It's also a good use for the iron and pumpkins, since if you already have better gear and have access to food, you can basically just make a small army at little to no cost to you and watch the brawl play out, plus the golems can be healed too with ingots. And while you won't get the XP, you WILL get the drops, I think you could probably even get some of the iron you spent making the golems back on their deaths, which isn't much, but it works so you can make even more as long as you have enough pumpkin heads.

      @@adrian225 I had this string of ideas when the Warden was the first buzz.
      -Firstly, I want to address how the Devs say that making a tower wouldn't save you. I propose that the Warden generates Sculk under it's feet as it walks anywhere that's not in the Deep Dark. The Warden could also make a "Sculk Wall" up a cliff that only it can climb, if it knows you escaped upwards.
      -Secondly, I want to address any possible weaknesses. The first obvious one I think, should be Sunlight, but instead of damaging the Warden, it afflicts it with Weakness. Also, I think that Water should also be a weakness against the Warden, but only temporarily. Unlike Endermen, the Warden will be afflicted with Slow and Weakness, but if its in the water for too long, it'll infest it, turning it into a new type of water; Deep Murk.
      -Deep Murk will be a water type found exclusively in the Deep Dark and its Cities. This thick water moves at about 1.5 times the speed of lava, and appears pitch-black on the surface, and causes Darkness to the Player if they're standing in it.
      -The waters of the Deep Dark should not be barren, however, as I imagine the Deep Murk is actually very bright and glow under the void-like surface, teeming with Sculk-infested plant and marine-life.

I find using a power V bow to be effective and using an elytra to keep my distance. Now I'm here looking for ideas on how to farm the warden because the catalyst drops a ton of xp when mined

    • @Eh.........
      @Eh......... Před rokem

      I don't consider entities without health bars as bosses, which is why Warden and Elder Guardian aren't bosses in my book. If Warden is a protector of the ancient city and it's secrets (a protector of the portal?), and is already a walking, shooting blind menace, imagine of the possibilities of an actual boss from another dimension. Once they release a new dimension, and if it will have a boss, it could very much rival bedrock wither (yes there's many instances of ordinary warden defeating wither, but only because wither entirely gets rid of it's aerial attack advantage, and proceeds to lower all the way to Warden's level, and that is the only reason warden emerges victorious)

    • @Tom-oz7wk
      @Tom-oz7wk Před rokem

      @@Eh......... I feel like a blaze would have a better chance of beating a warden than the wither would because blazes tend to be better at maintaining that height advantage while shooting from a distance (until they go in for a melee attack which I didn't know blazes could do).
      I agree about wardens and elder guardians not being bosses. Elder guardians have never felt like a boss to me, especially because I've never died to them (they can't do that much damage other than thorns damage because I'm always geared up before taking on an ocean monument). Wardens are another one I've never died to (that I can remember at least) and I think the thing that stops them from being a boss level threat is that they don't have the flight ability so you can literally just fly up to a ledge and snipe them with a bow. It's also weird that wardens have a despawn mechanic whereas all the others stay spawned once they have been.
      I also really like the idea of a new boss in some kind of skulk dimension. The thought that there could be a mob that makes the warden look like a regular minecraft zombie or something is terrifying and I'm sure the rewards would be proportional to the difficulty of the boss

    Then have a tunnel beside it for yourself, follow him up, then use a trapdoor hole on a platform at the VERY top, to get him to fall down onto the dripstone

    You know... This is surprisingly relevant, because my younger bro found a pretty funny way to do this himself. Probably why I'm getting recommended this video anyways.
    Iron Golem and a stack of Iron Ingots. You can probably put together what the process is yourself.
    If not, then it's real simple. You construct the Iron Golem, you go about your business and end up summoning the Warden. You immediately get behind the Iron Golem, which will start smacking it around, keeping the Warden's aggro on it instead of you. It does a ton more damage than the Iron Golem, and will break it down faster than it can kill the Warden, which is where the Iron Ingots come in, as you stay close behind the Iron Golem, keeping it repaired to full health. Done right, you can probably even do it with less than a stack, but that's how my bro did it. Expensive, sure, but surprisingly effective...

    • @darkfiredragon3410
      @darkfiredragon3410 Před rokem

      The point of Thorns is to punish relatively weak attacks while disrupting the attacker; this usually works in singleplayer because most mobs don't have the attack power to be more than a mild inconvenience, so when a mob sneaks up on you or you're dealing with a swarm it speeds up taking them down, and in PvP it annoys your opponent and racks up damage on their armour even if you've stopped attacking to heal.
      When it comes to the very few high-damaging vanilla mobs and strong modded mobs tho, not only it's not exactly the best idea to fight them up close (why are you trying to melee something that 3hkos you even in full prot 4 netherite?), but also Thorns can actually be counterproductive because Thorns damage only caps at 4 (the same as a wood or gold sword), so more often than not it will just mess up your attack timing by triggering the invulnerability frames before your weapon swing AND eat away at your armour durability even more.
      Even disregarding everything I just said, Thorns only works for "melee" attacks which only includes actual melee attacks and projectiles like arrows; Witches and Guardians, dealing magic damage, are unaffected as is the Warden while using the sonic attack, which ignores every defense of the target except the Resistance effect.
