We are mind , body and spirit. If we die before Christ comes to rapture His church then our spirit immediately goes to be with the Lord. Our physical bodies are buried. At the rapture those who have died will be physically raised with new perfect bodies and joined with their spiritual part of their bodies. Those then who are alive still will then be raptured. (Caught up to meet Jesus along with those who had died in Christ first. Read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. PTL!! Maranatha!!
I often wonder what it is like in heaven before we have new bodies at the resurrection.
💐💐💐💐💐💐💐Please pray for salvation for Chris, Pete and Nick who no longer believes in God
How will you know the difference between 10 sec and a thousand years when you sleep before his return to bring us home?
The people that are saved during the tribulation won’t sleep as you think. They will be in heaven, but not be resurrected into new earthly bodies until after the millennial reign of christ.
I have a question. If we immediately go to be with our Father in Heaven why is there a raising of the dead in Christ before the living are taken in the rapture?
Good question If we look at Jesus he died on Friday and then came back Sunday for his body. Jesus was in heaven Friday because he told the thief today you’ll be with me in paradise. So our bodies are temples of God and must be reclaimed by saints at the rapture. The living saints WON’T experience death so they go up in one package. Hope that helps
@@robertalvarado358 I'm admittedly very new to bible study but didnt Jesus go to hell before going to heaven? So he couldn't have gone to heaven on Friday, or am I wrong? Again I'm very new to this so I could very well be mistaken.
It's the raising of their physical bodies to be joined with their spirit.
To be honest, I don’t agree with this. Paul also wrote this.
1 Corinthians 15:20-23 KJVS
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. [21] For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. [22] For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. [23] But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
My understanding is you’re dead in the ground until the resurrection. There are souls under the altar of God, that are resurrected for a short period of time.
Revelation 6:9-11 KJVS
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: [10] And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? [11] And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
Be, with the Lord, I think is a figure of speech.
