Agreed. I feel most Issue fans overlook is that he's not terribly clean (a few big crashes in this battle alone), and while he usually smashes early rounds, his later rounds are full of repeats. I'm glad he's bringing original style, but he needs a deeper bag to win events outside of the crew competition. Still, mad respect to both bboys.
This was a nice battle. Issue was strong but repeated almost all of his signatures and blow ups. Lussy Sky was a bit more tired but kept coming with original material. So it was an tuff but easy call to go with the bboy tradition of freshness above athletics.

Omg if y'all didn't see how hard and fresh Lussy came out, then you shouldn't be talkin shit. Both of them were original, and both went hard. Lussy was just cleaner in the end.

It was definitely a close one. Issue imo, but I can see why they chose Lussy. He was a little smoother and had some really original footwork.

I think people are underestimating what Lussy Sky was doing, also Issue had a couple of slip ups and repetitions. Fair call by the judges. Respect to Issue for trying to expand the art form though.
i like issue more but he had a bad crash and didn't bring the "battle" and lussy was clean, smooth, more musical

i gotta agree, lussy took this one, altho issue did have a more explosive set with the tricking and power moves, but musicality and creativity goes to lussy with the footwork and threading, not to say issue's footwork wasnt creative, cuz it usually always is in his theatrical dance

Issue had an obvious crash, as well as being less clean overall and repeating (headspin drill 3 times? And twice he got into it the same way?). He may have had a more original style but Lussy came just as hard and managed to execute too.

Lussy for me. Issue had to many weird hand gestures that didn't really do it for me. Lussy continued his flow smoothly and all of his moves seemed to connect alot better than it did than with Issue.

There is no "fake" musicality; you either listen to the music, or you don't. Beatkilling is done with specific point-outs - no other effective way to do it.
Randomly boasting about your crew being "top" or alleged extensive years of dance supposedly adding to your credibility actually does the exact opposite. The UK never really have any good crews anyway, so excuse me for not taking you seriously.

In what way did Issue win that battle? He crashed more than once and he really didn't come out as hard as Lussy did with musicality and clean sets.. You guys say Issue lost because the judges dont appreciate his originality? Headspins, Drills and Aerial flips are sooo original arent they. No hate on Issue but he just wasnt as clean as Lussy this time. So stop kissing up to your favorite bboy, just cause he has rep doesnt mean he cant lose sometimes, seriously. Good battle

In bboying, most judges are just like anyone else, so getting picked to judge an event does not suddenly increase their general credibility.
I think it is obvious enough that Cico is the one who made the commercial what it is, and screen time is evidence to it.
The performance by the "tall one" is nothing close to what you would expect after 15 years of dancing, or from a "top crew." Therefore, if anything, then I just think even less of you now.

Lussy might've had some of those points you mention, however nothing too dope or worthy of the win. Issue was a lot cleaner, as hands weren't put down as a flip crash, but rather a transition to footwork; and had much more creativity along with technical difficulty and good execution. No special musicality from LS. Anybody can sit on their ass and slap their feet on beat, yet stopping in the middle of a dynamic set to point out a break, and then end it on one as well, much better.
