I am a curious person, otherwise I would have no contact with Finland. I know that everything changes, even cities. That makes me sad sometimes, but that's life. Why do I visit Tampere? Because I want to see what has changed and what has stayed the same.
When my house was built, it was like a birth.I documented everything with a camera and some neighbours smiled about it.This neighbour asked me for the photos years later.
We live in an imaginary time machine - we change too. When I visit Tampere, I want to say to the city: "Old house, I was here with you in 1971.
If a house that could be saved is demolished, it is like the death of the house for me. I like old houses, also in Tampere - and the factories from another time.
German tourists don't want to visit new buildings in the cities, they visit the old quarters and even replicas of old houses.
I come from a city where building has been criss-crossed - almost everything is ugly. I made a video film about the ugly town of Syke. Of course there are also beautiful houses.
If I don't find anything beautiful in a city, I take very small photos of objects etc.

Here is the video film - I'm sitting on the right. Whoever was in Tampere in 1971 must be older, unfortunately. I think you don't need to know German to see the pictures. At the beginning of the film I was very sad because my wife had died of cancer.

Hyvä Tampere! Kiva oppia vähän Hämeenpuiston historiaakin samalla. Siitä tulee usein vain autolla ajettua läpi. Pitääkin nyt kesällä ottaa asiakseen käydä siellä vähän käppäilemässä. 🙂 Ainakin yksi miniloma ollaan Tampereella vaimon kanssa vietetty. Kyllä kannatti! 👍🏻
Varsinkin sellaisista reiteistä, mitä kulkee paljon, tulee helposti tosi arkisia ja tekee hyvää katsoa niitä vähän erilaisella silmällä. 😊 Tampereella on paljon tosi kiinnostavia paikkoja, hienoja rakennuksia ja upeaa luontoa! 💙

Kiva nähdä omaa kotikaupunkia tälleen mutta en kaupungista itse ole vaan ehkä yhestä suomen tunnetuimmasta lähiöstä hervannasta sieltäkin löytyy muutama hieno rakennus ja näkyy 70 luvun betoni talot
