I've just discovered you on CZcams and am really enjoying your work, style, and channel. I see you haven't posted anything in a year. I hope you get back to this channel and post more videos!
Thank you, very nice teaching, the best one ❤💯💯💯👍👍👍
These tutorials are fantastic please keep them coming
First, I want to say today is my lucky day as I came across with your channel, searching for watercolor atmospheric cityscapes.
I am just a plain person, trying to learn the art of water & colors.
Your tutorials are going to be priceless on allowing me to learn your techniques & painting expertise.
Thanks.
it's good seeing you again with another amazing video! Thanks
Thank you, Reina!
Great lessons as usual John... You are right. Tone does all the work, but often it's the color that gets all the glory of a beautiful painting...
Well said!
My English is not good but I learned a lot from this video. Thanks a lot
Hi John. Do you have a video on how you take a complex image of a cityscape/landscape and draw it out in preparation for a painting? Your thoughts on simplification would be extremely beneficial. You touch on it briefly in this video but the drawing had been completed prior to recording the video. Thanks
Great seeing you back with a new video!
Thank you so much for supporting the channel, Ben!
I just found your channel. It's terrific!
Lovely painting...Thanks for sharing 👈👏👏👏👏👏

Great to hear! Thank you for supporting the channel!
The result is lovely! Thank you for reminding us about the importance of tone, John!
Hello John. It's so helpful. Thanks very much. Please keep going! I love your pictures and the way you paint!
Beautiful!👌😊
So perfectly explained on two levels. The concept of using two colors, and then how to paint that cityscape. Thank you.
Thats amazing, just two colors, john..i should try that too.
Go for it! It can be a lot of fun!
Fantastic! So glad I found your videos. Thanks so much.
Love this demo very much❤❤❤Thanks John🎉

Love your paintings, have found you today and already subed👌
Very nice. Thank you very much for the demonstration. I learnt a lot.
Absolutely amazing, with just two colours. Subscribed.
a really good atmosphere
Another great demo, thank you.
Glad you liked it!
I like the color of the buildings made with ochre and cobalt blue. I have yellow ochre and I think I'll start using it more. Nice work. Subbed.
Excellent. Good instruction on values. Beautiful loose technique.Bravo.
My first time watching your tutorials. Thank you, I am impressed.
Good you are back!
Glad to be back! I am trying to get back to a better schedule
good work!
I like how you work you way down the paper. So in essence background to foreground. I do to many issolated objects and seems disconnected.
Saunders Waterford watercolor paper is excellent. I think Zbukvic uses it.
Hi John, really helpful video! One thing, is the shadow for the tree in the right place? It doesn't seem so compared with other shadows.
Thanks so much
Wow......thanks so much.
You are most welcome!
Also, im glad you are back.
Me too! More to come!
Welcome back John.
Glad to be back and thank you so much!
Thank you! I am so inspired by this tutorial. Just discovered your channel thanks to Jenna Rainey who featured you in her last video. Looking forward to watching more of your content.
Hi John I would love to see you make a video of you showing how to sketch out a scene, You seem to only put minimal info on the page. Also any pre thumbnails
Great suggestion! I will make sure to add that to some of my next videos!
❤
Great video
Thanks!
Excellent!!! I'm going to two colors.
Have fun! Its such a good exercise
What size/variety of brushes are you using to complete this painting?
For me, it’s 1.) Paper 2.) Brushes and 3.) Paint (so long as it is artist grade)
Where did you get that mop brush?
Hi John. I'm waiting for a new video!! Please!
🙏🙏😊😊👍👍
What happens that you don't upload more videos?
You should have used burnt sienna instead of yellow ochr
Great video- didn’t mean to sound like a jerk
Found your channel by recommendation from Jenna Rainey.
Do you have a patreon?
Hi....how r u now..
My friend your lights come from left. Tree shadows isn’t fitting the direction. Still good though
offcourse it does, it casts to the right.
scale of figures and cars is off
Did this guy die or something? He says he's going to post more videos and then never posted again...
Sometimes making videos just gets put on the back burner. As a smaller CZcams channel, I made the mistake of not letting people know that I was taking an extended break -- and concerned viewers tracked me down and called my cell phone! It was nice to be missed, but it was also a good lesson -- let people know that you're still around, even if you can't keep up with the demands of making regular posts. :)
@LauraGYoung getting side tracked is one thing, but this dude hasn't posted anything for damn near 2 years...
@@alexklatte9264-- Wow, I didn't realize it had been quite that long. So perhaps something did happen to him! Hope all is well...
You do see, that your light source changes between church tower and tree vs cars?🤦🏼♂️
It’s art! There are no rules. He can do whatever he wants. Maybe his scene is on a planet with two suns.
