Malcolm McLaren - Jazz is Paris

- I wore black on St-Germain de prés
Feelings in the air they love today
It's true, I don't believe
in love beyond the grave,
But then I listened to a trumpet play
You were black on St-Germain de prés
I can still hear you miles away
I wore black, you were black
The trumpet answered back
Jazz is Paris and Paris is jazz
I wore black, you were black
I wore black, you were black
Jazz is Paris and Paris is jazz
I wore black on St-Germain de prés
Feelings in the air, they love today
I wore black, you were black
Sat naked on your lap
Like a child, I feel love coming on
I travel miles and miles in bed
Miles of miles playing in my head
I wore black, you were black
It makes me cry to think like that
Jazz is Paris and Paris is jazz
I wore black, you were black
I wore black, you were black
Jazz is Paris and Paris is jazz
I give you kisses
In all the secret places
Miles and miles of miles
Your profile, like an Egyptian queen
The best looking man I've ever seen
I wore black, you were black
I wore black, you were black
Jazz is Paris and Paris is jazz - Hudba
The song embodies the feeling of Paris...its like you're there...if you've never been to Paris, the song will take you there:)
So sad this isn’t on Apple Music.
I completely agree with the last comment. I listened to this CD over and over while on my trip to Paris and it was heavenly. You must get this CD. It's amazing! RIP Malcolm. Thank you for the music!
the whole album is brilliant...still holds up...still fresh...still one of its kind

Paris and Jazz.. the perfect combination !

Malcolm is genius!!!
one of the greatest visionaries of modern times..from punk to vogueing opera and jazz.a master ..rip
to me, this album is the finest articulation of the intrigue of paris that i've ever seen. i would even go this far. can't be done any better😎. behold the alpha, and the omega, of taking you by the heart, to an elegant space of dreams. for paris is different, our own, for each one.
This song is brilliant... Everything just perfectly right in the time!!
I absolutely demand a 'Repeat until I die' Button for this song.
+rose libertine That's the best comment ever.

Thank you for paying your respects to such an increadible man .
This song is amazing
I agree, one of my favourite albums of all time.
Masterpiece .
I very much disliked Paris, but I love the memory of hearing this song at the adorable hotel in a gorgeous area of Paris we stayed in. The best part of Paris is all the dreams in my head that I imagined it to be; the real city broke my heart. I hold onto my dream.
Oh yes! I absolutely feel you on that... I've got the same thing and with MANY places. For me it's the modern times and the SAMENESS of everything ... the magic is just gone. People are more boring too bcoz they spoilt and stupid :(
I so love this homage to Paris from the stupendous Malcolm McClaren RIP.
20年ぶりに聞きたくなったアルバムだぁ

im loving the trumpets too / stunning ..
I've been there and I can tell you that it really is! One night while walking through the streets of Paris, I discovered by chance, a small underground jazz club. The music sounded divine, so I decided to go there for a drink. They played the best jazz music I've ever listened to!
This trumphet theme is from Eric Satie - Gnossienne 3.
