Sometimes I am so glad that I am not super rich.. I pay taxes and I live where I like it without worrying about loopholes or tax havens. As others have commented, I do not understand why you guys would move to Cyprus except for taxes (probably the reason Janni's dad had moved there). I think Janni's sister Michaela is doing the right thing by building her dream house in Sweden. But whatever, it's their decision of course.
The other reason is that they get the big money by buying and selling big villas. And the house price in Cyprus is going up quite strongly... so I guess money talks...
Because everying is about money? It can't be Because her dad lives there almost always nice wheater, good food, and real estate is almost always good money
Can everyone just stop pretending they know best what's the best for this family. If they want to move to Cyprus, let them, they have their reasons. I'm sure they don't make any decision lightly especially when they're not the only ones anymore affected by it since they have kids. Just stop. It's none of our business.

Good luck with all the moving process. I am not sure that Cyprus is your place. I am a Greece person and my family has a house on a Greek island, but still… Cyprus..: It’s not the as beauty as other islands in Greece, it’s chaotic, the fact that it’s Greek and Turkish mix… and all COVID restrictions there will make it difficult for you I think. Also, it’s not so cosmopolitan as the places you have been so far. The food it’s more traditional than anything else. But, it will be an adventure and it will be interesting for me to “follow” you there 🧡🧡🧡

If you’re not used to living on an island, you easily feel disconnected to “the rest of the world”. But maybe that’s what they are looking for. I agree, Cyprus was not for me, and it’s far from cosmopolitan!

Well they moved to Marbella to be closer to Janni's dad and brothers so it makes sense to move to Cyprus to be close to them still.... in the end it's none of our business and I'm sure they've given a lot of thought to this...

Monaco gegen Zypern zu tauschen ist schon sehr seltsam , erst das Haus in Marbella verkauft und jetzt das , find ich nicht so toll , nach Zypern kann einen eigentlich nur der Fiskus treiben , aber nur , wenn man nicht aus Monaco kommt , verstehen tu ich es beim besten Willen nicht . I think you should just live in Sweden. You have most family and friends there, and you always seem so happy there compared to being alone in Monaco. Now you're going to learn greek? to avoid paying taxes?
Cyprus is not that modern, and not that stable if wars in the Middle East break out again.
Leon should soon be old enough to start kindergarten and get some friends his own age. Would probably be healthy for them with some stability.

I love you guys but me personally, I would rather pay taxes and live where I want to live and be around the people I want to be around all the time, like family. Also not sure why Jon hates paying taxes so much, his father is a police officer, they are paid with tax money, that put a roof over his head and food on his table and that's why he's where he is today. 🤷♂️

Especially now with 2 children I think it would be much easier for them to just live in Sweden around friends and family, or France/Spain even, than move around all the time so that the government won't get your money. Helloooo, Janni's dad and brother live in Cyprus. That's why they bought a house in Marbella as well, to be closer to her family. And they will have a house in Sweden to be closer to the other side of the family. Why do you care so much about their finances and taxes, it's none of our business

They pay taxes in Cypress so not quite like Monaco.

@@michae8jackson378 Ja Boris Becker. Aber auch ganzen Formel 1 Fahrer leben in Monaco. Die sind sowieso 80% des Jahres Unterwegs. Da ist egal wo die Ihr Appartement haben. Die Leute die in Monaco leben sind auch nicht 24/7 dort, sondern haben auch noch Wohnungen woanders.
But what is the nature like there or the city life. It can’t only depend on the sea etc

Don't follow your father around the world. He's had the freedom to live his life already. Make your own family home in Monaco and get your kids in school learning French and English. You'll have a hard time learning Greek.
I think their main reason for moving to Cyprus besides being close to a family member is having spacious house instead of cute but tiny apartment. Also the weather in Cyprus is great, taxes are good, it's in the EU..and change is good! I would move there in a heart if my work would allow that!

You won’t like it! The sea and beaches are amazing but the rest is boring, food is not comparable to Marbella. Enjoy your time though.

Well duh but they can atleast afford a proper house there which means they maybe dont need to have another home to live in. Before they were living in Marbella and had to visit Monaco for half a year to get the tax advantages, now they could live in Cyprus while not having to pay taxes because the cost of living is way lower over there
