the EVH Frankenstrat neck pickup

here I A/B the stock neck pickup with a DiMarzio Chopper. the stock pickup sounds very thin through an overdriven amp. thus i decided to swap it out for a warmer and slightly hotter pickup. this guitar plays amazingly and i wanted it to be more than a sonic one trick pony.

The pickup in the neck pickup left unwired had something to do with maintaining the magnetic pull on the strings. Edward was clearly a freak from the start. Like adjusting the tension on the cloththline tensioner after he cut up that body on the Ibanez destroyer. Look close at the pictures sometime. He was convinced he could tune the wood after he gouged it out haha. If you were in his room and he pointed it out maybe you could hear it too. Bet he had out the stethoscope on that one.
