Guitar 1st. Learning 2nd. It's never fun learning on something you don't like or is painful to use. I can't play violin, but I fixed up a real olidie and does it ever sound good for the $25 price. It's got a lot of road wear and I wish I knew the story of it. That's what I want to learn on. A real gem, not from Amazon.
Well said Henry! And yes, that would be really interesting to track down the history of your violin. There are tons of gems that are still out there just waiting to be discovered and put to use.
