On Saturday the second heat of Melodifestivalen 2024 took place in Göteborg, Sweden. Six acts performed live, and two qualified directly for the Final: Liamoo with "Dragon" and Maria Sur with "When I'm Gone." Two songs also progressed to the "Final qual"

the right two acts went through directly to the final. Liamoo's song is rly similar to Andrew Lambrou's especially in the last chorus tho, I saw a comparison of that on TikTok today and its a bit hilarious cause the same songwriters are behind it and the staging is also somewhat similar. I don't mind it tho, I liked both of those songs. Have to say tho, my personal favorite so far is Maria Sur with "When I'm Gone", such a europop classic. Love it!

Liamoo reminds me of break a broken heart
Liamoo's song is a mix of "Wicked Game - Chris Isaak" (the slow parts because it has a similar melody) and Cyprus 2023.
Which I don't complain about at all!

I think Maria's song might sound better in studio version, but I didn't like her live performance. My main concern is the vocals. She sounded like ambiance sound, too much reverb in my opinion. On the other hand, LIAMOO was the best of the night. Vocals and choreography were on point. Both of them had great staging production.
I feel like Marias vocals were absolutely amazing in my opinion, and Liamoos song was very boring and generic
