  • TTMIK’s very own 교정 요정 (Fixit Fairy) Kyung-hwa sat down with long-time actor, Kahlid, to help him improve his Korean pronunciation. We hope that this video will help you with some of the more difficult pronunciation points, too! We also hope everyone will wish Kahlid good luck in his acting endeavors, and if you would like to check out some of his work, visit his channel here: / channel

I have a lot of respect for Kahlid for having the confidence to make this video. By being willing to make mistakes and learn in public, he's helped make a really wonderful tool for the rest of us. I feel like I have a better understanding of the basic, aspirated, and tensed consonants from hearing the way Kyung-hwa corrected him. Also, the compare/constrast sections with Korean, Spanish, and English were super helpful. Thanks for all the great videos, TTMIK :)

This is the part of learning Korean that I find the most difficult. I'm sure that the pronunciation differences are glaringly obvious to native Korean speakers, but a lot of them sound very subtle and indistinct to my ears. This will take a lot of work. :) Thanks for the help, as always, TTMIK.

This is a really great idea!! There's a book called Pronunciation In Use which I use with my English-learning students, and they have a section at the back outlining which sounds people find the most difficult, sorted by their mother tongue/nationality.
