    $800? The Magura post suddenly looks much better. Silver lining is that a 40 hour battery should last you longer than the reverb internals.

      @@BobBob-fk4wo while this is purely speculation, and based only on internet research, I believe the Sram would be more responsive to the controller and feels more similar to an actual dropper.

    @paradox963 Před 4 lety +8

    I work at a shop, and I have a bit of dislike for Reverb post, given most of the issues have to do with the hydraulic lever than the actual post internals. I have see dropper squish in other brands as well so at least they are adressing the issue with what is a quick and easy fix. We have quite a few of these AXS droppers in the field with customers and so far not one issue not even any squish. One thing that was left out of this review that is kinda cool is that you can assign the dropper to any button in the AXS system so if you want your shifting like paddle shifters you can use the dropper remote as a shifter and then assign the dropper to either the up or down button on the right side controler.

    • @Primoz.r
      @Primoz.r Před 5 lety +3

      That's because the oil volume in the system is too low and the post doesn't get actuated. Bleed it. If it's in the cold, bleed it cold. It should fix things. This one doesn't have that issue since a motor actuates it.
      As for the squishy dropper syndrome, it has a vent valve. I want that on the ordinary reverb!

    I think it's a cool piece of tech, but I don't think I could ever justify the extra cost over a standard dropper. In the end it serves the same basic purpose. At that price there would be no benifit in being able to switch the dropper from bike to bike as I could just buy multiple droppers for less.

    @bradillingworth Před 5 lety +2

    It's cool to see something new and this will probably lead the way for more wireless dropper post systems. But, at this stage it's not attractive to me. The lever looks chunky and the head of the post is simply ugly as far as I am concerned. I'd also be be little paranoid about the battery falling off the post. Lastly, there's no value in it whatsoever - unless you simply want to be the guy with a $800 seatpost (and we know you're out there), it has no significant tangible benefit.
