Y’all need to do a camper based on the gladiator!
I thought the same. The problem is that the bed flexes independent from the cab. So they can’t build a rigid structure that connects the bed to the cab. It needs to be something that allows the flex. But that’s what engineers are for.
@@WelcomeToTheOutdoors what about using nutcerts around the edge of the bed securing it there & the hard to mounting points of the cab making it one piece
@@user-em7ze5gu7r I dont think you can do that because the bed is supposed to flex independently of the cab. You would have to make the connection to the bed OR the cab flexible.
This extra real estate, on a diesel or 4xe, could be the bomb! 🔥
Definitely a cool setup
Much success to u guys !
The best overland setup so far,it solves all the small issues with overlanding setups,
Beautiful work that’s a clean system very nice well done And thought out
Perfect. I am saving up to buy one
Wow....amazing
Extremely impressive work ! Best config for wrangler that I have seen so far . Looking forward for config for 4xe .
I thought about getting a jeep just for this!
Lol, I'm thinking of picking up a '90 YJ as my first Jeep. I want this o it;
The rear extension is a great idea for most long term overlanders (ie on the road for months not days) even if it takes away a bit of departure angle. If someone doesn’t want the expense of the pop top tent, and they aren’t tall enough to play in the NBA, I bet they could find front seats that fold down and then make a bed platform. Combine that with a small tent that connects off the back like those sold for vans and SUV’s and it would be a comfortable overlanding setup with the great off-road capabilities of the Jeep.
Great concept! Does the center of gravity remain the same I wonder ... Cheers
waouh !!!!
That’s awesome!
Are you able to open the rear swing gate from the inside of the vehicle?
To koupím taky! S tou kurvou v tom budeme jezdit po světě! Mulač a zbytek Bodeguity bude čumět, jak ji mrdam!
Potom spolu postavíme barák! Pak postavíme chatu v horách úplně sami a bez elektriky... Jako ve středověku!!!
Brácha bude tady na baráku a já budu platit elektriku :D
Všechno už to vyšlo v kartách!!! Je to osud!!!! :D
Amazing stuff! Is this an extension of that French company or is proprietary?
When can we expect one made for the short bed tacoma?
Can I order one for the Jeep Wrangler JL?
Any word on American safari for the ford bronco?
Is there a version for the Gladiator?
This looks like it looks like it would be awesome, but I gotta say, the shots are not good enough to know for sure. It's just not clear from this angle. But I get the feeling it's probably great.
It’s definitely something you have to see in person. Tight spaces like that are hard to get on camera
i wonder if they could do the extension on a two 2 doors jeep
Hey that is what we really want to know! Thanks for asking, maybe we will get an answer!
Does that work with the Jeeps payload capacity? Does it work with the 4xe?
Looked at these and had serious questions about quality and warranty. Things like fake sticker windows on the top and hinge quality really bugged me. They couldn’t answer questions on the fabric or fiberglass build. Good concept but quality and customer service needs some work, IMO.
You might have already seen them, but Epic Family Road Trip lives out of a JKU and JLU, both just had these kits installed so I think we'll see how they hold up from them
@@bates6713 I’m thrilled they are giving it a shot. I hope we get a true review of the product. I m concerned the were sponsored though. So we may get an advertised view. I like the idea. I was seriously considering the mod. Looking forward to more information. Hopefully the quality is improved as the kit begins to sell.
so EXCITED...Haven't 'Watched' the whole Video!! Is this 'Extension' available for 2 Door Jeeps?? Cheers from Canada!
I wish! Or even a rear door delete kit for the 4 doors
I would buy if they offered this for a 2 door JL. Not sure what the cost would be, I’m sure over $10k.
@@Steven-iy4oh 100%, or if someone were to make some kind of rear door delete kit for the 4 door
Can the top be color matched to the Jeep
I have no idea, you can contact them at gp@redriverrigs.com
Anyone know how much this would cost?
I saw an article from 2018 that mentions kit starting at $17760. I imagine it's more expensive 4 years later.
The Epic Family Roadtrip crew on CZcams just did both their Jeeps at the American XL Shop. I looked up list. Starting at $19,900 and up.
@@joedessenberger2048 that price is crazy.
Maybe, but unique products cost more
30k for it
I called, emailed, and DMed them for months... never got a response. I think this is vapourware.
Stolen from Gazell in France
Now build one for a jeep gladiator
The problem with the gladiator is that the bed is independent from the cab, so it can’t be a solid mount. It needs to be flexible. I’m not saying it’s impossible, that’s what engineers are for. So I agree with you completely
