I see him tonight and can’t wait! It will be my 4th time. He’s the best out there and like Cash and Waylon he just needs to do it his way.
I expected Eric Church to get more than Entertainer of the Year ( and he dam sure is). I realized, not everyone I know, knew how to vote for their favorite CMA! Needless to say, we still love how you rock E.C. and band. Tell Chris I'm happy for him. He worked hard to get where he is. And there is a connection between us.💘

I hate that the country music establishment ignores THE GREATEST COUNTRY SINGER/SOUNGWRITER...but it's a good 'ol boy industry! They like those pop singers! Getting tired of the music they pump out! Eric on the other hand keeps going...because the fans can't get enough of HIS Music! It surely stirs the heart and soul! Keep doing it Eric!

I think Eric was likely very happy for Luke, since Eric has already won once and is a friend to Luke. Liking them both, I’d say that was a win for both, and we were all privileged to see and hear Eric perform “Heart on Fire”, perfectly! WoW! Them two guys made that show perfect in my opinion, not throwing stones at the others who also did well. Eric and Luke are just my two favorites, but my ear for music has improved with time, unlike my voice LoL. TMI. Have a blessed week ahead.🎶

@@SusieHallTX I agree that Eric really Rocks every country stage he steps on, just as Waylon Jennings did back in the seventies, and yes I remember that. Waylon was not welcome at the Grand Ole Opry at all in the beginning! Haha he was too rough and as a young rock & roll girl, he turned me! I KNEW Eric was tougher than the rest in his beginning, but I was a kid when Waylon started. Eric Church is here to stay, as long as he wants. Why? People will always want his music and him, as long as he keeps us first. We buy the music instead of the recording companies. Eric had just keep a good business head, or someone he trusts in charge of his business so he doesn’t have to watch his back, like Waylon did. He won’t see this but is likely two steps ahead of me LoL. I’m just old, retired so have time to be blowing smoke about the past and present running into each other haha. Am sure Eric Church wouldn’t mind my comparing him to Waylon, considering I’ve waited a long time for someone to fill those boots! Happy my prediction about him when he was young and I was recommending people listen to him has come true. We all enjoy being right. :)

This was a Super Performance ever that night of the CMAs. He won in my opinion by his Fans that come to his concerts. Anyone that Super Talented deserves the Very Best by we Fans regardless of glass or platinum trophy that gets dusty or placed in a closet after retirement. Chief will remember his meetings with his Fans and who has become Lifetime Friends from the beginning of time that believed in him that he could actually make it in the Music Biz.

That is an entertainer, not sitting around the microphone like Combs or Stapleton and not twerking like Bryan. This man goes out and preforms for the audience and you can hear how loud they are in the background the entire song. I didn't hear anyone else get that much support

I really don't watch the CMAs anymore, I just watch the clips of my favorite artists on here. AND of course, the new country isn't even country anymore. Very sad!

Eric Church was the lead in the house band for one of our clubs in Atlanta for several years. Always a crowd pleaser, and a really nice guy. So happy to see him headlining, packing venues, kicking ass, and thumbing his nose at the Nashville establishment! Amazing songwriter, incredible performer, and still a rebellious soul. Now that’s Country!!!
Thumbing his nose would have been declining his attendance to the rigged CMA. He’s in it to win it and to make money; not that I blame him, we all gotta eat.

Better to show up at their party and put on what was arguably one of the best performances of the evening, although Jennifer Hudson and Chris Stapleton deserve a shout out as well. Entertainer of the year should be more about live performances than about studio and radio. Anyone who has seen him live knows what he does to his audience. Incredible live performances, just ask anyone who saw his recent show with George Strait in Atlanta.
Freely admit my bias. Saw him every Saturday night for years and watched him grow as an artist at a local dance club. Been a fan for years.
